My family and I had a fantastic stay at The Smithsonian Retreat! Nestled in Southern Utah’s stunning Red Rock Mountains, the 360-degree views were breathtaking. The property was the perfect escape, allowing us to enjoy quality time together. The space was clean and beautifully decorated, with lovely photos of the local area. The beds were comfortable, and there were plenty for our large family, along with ample bathrooms. We had a blast in the game room with Foosball, pool, air hockey and shuffleboard, and the outdoor areas were great for relaxing on the deck and enjoying fire pit nights. The kids loved playing in the sand while adults used the basketball and tennis courts. The well-stocked kitchen was perfect for our family dinner, and the dining table fit everyone easily, both indoors and out side on the deck. Our host was responsive and provided excellent local recommendations for activities. Overall, we loved our stay and can’t wait to return!

Absolutely INCREDIBLE experience! Our family’s favorite part of our arches/canyonlands/capitol reef trip. The road down: JUST GO!!! I read literally every review before booking this location and watched the YouTube video. It was TOTALLY DOABLE on our trip for first timer family renting a jeep and driving on this road (rated level 1ish of 10 for jeeps). for sure get high clearance vehicle. We rented van for long trip and parked at Twisted Jeep rentals ($100/day for Jeep - a discount since we stayed and didn’t take on big roads) It felt like a bumpy dirt road. Not too many edges/ledges. If you can keep a vehicle in straight line you can do this trip. Location was GORGEOUS views peaceful. Tom and his wife were so friendly- kids love Kobe tortoise feeding and his dog Jax. He showed us trails for finding fossils and petroglyphs! Great hiking. The hogan was so clean and cozy- kids loved this space!! AtV to Windy caves = magical!! Many amenities for such a remote place!!

Gianni and Rocky’s place was absolutely beautiful!! It was so peaceful and such a great mountain getaway. I would recommend this place to anyone that wants to stay in a really cool location for the experience that included the cities nearby with lots of great food, experiences, and people. Gianni and Rocky were amazing hosts and very hospitable.

This place is architecturally magnificent! The room has a stunning view, a fireplace, and is on the most private, pristine land. Between the outdoor shower, the view of the cave, the flowers, and the quiet, we were so refreshed and renewed. We took hikes from the property that were gorgeous and also drove easily into town for some dinners. Rob’s design and art made the property charming and unique. We will definitely be coming back and bringing friends. Thank you Lazalu for the hospitality and beauty.

We embraced every moment of our stay in this amazing space, couldn’t have wished for a more authentic experience during our travel adventures in stunning Utah! If you’re looking for authenticity, uniqueness & comfort, Heather & Dave’s tranquil adobe is well worth the stay!

Great house with character - Clemson University girls on spring break loved staying here!!! There was plenty of room for all of us, loved the hot tub, and great location for adventuring around Zion, slot canyon hikes, and Coral Pink Sand Dunes. The host also went out of his way to return clothes that we accidentally left! Would def stay again!
