Beautiful surroundings plus so peaceful and quiet, views are breathtaking, you can either enjoy sitting under the veranda or go out with the canoe and enjoy the calmness of the dam, or take a walk on the 3km dirt road and enjoy the mountains which is away from noise and traffic on this still working farm. Clive and Sarah where so hospitable, always responsive and willing to help, there is a inverter in case of power failures. If you want a calming/relaxing weekend away, i would suggest these chalets in Nottingham Road, thank you for having us!

Lovely place. We stayed over after a hike in the berg. Too short but a lovely spot. Nicole was also super helpful as I asked to leave my laptop with her for the duration of the hike so it didn’t sit in a hot car for 4 days. Easy to pop past and drop it with her beforehand. Next time I’d like to have more time to enjoy the spot!

Amazing! Great hospitality, excellent location. I would recommend this place any day! The backdrop of the Drakensberg mountains is breathtaking and ever so present from every angle of the property. The place feels like home, the staff are extraordinarily caring, pleasant, and present. The road leading there is bad, but once you arrive at the gate, the sheer beauty of the place makes you forget the rough driving experience.

Wonderful weekend in a beautiful setting

We were in for an adventure with the heavy snowfall overnight and the power being off in the area of Karkloof but luckily we had lots of firewood and a gas heater and gas stove and had Thomas come to the rescue with a bulldozer to clear the road. The location is very unique and love the design and layout of the house. Very cosy and special.

Waking up to the sight of the Majestic Sentinel from your bed was a superb experience. The Sentinel room was a perfect place to relax after a full day's hike. Highly recommended.
