Really appreciated the stay in this amazing hostel right at the ocean!! Amazing possibilities to go scuba diving and snorkelling, karaoke bar right on the other side and the small restaurant is perfect! Will come back!

What a beautiful place to stay! The cove is gorgeous, accessible and can be viewed from the porch. Snorkeling on the reef right there. You can hear the waves perfectly when they’re rolling. Apartment is full of natural light, other than in the dark, cool, peaceful bedroom. House is finished to North American standards, with great hot water and pressure, granite countertops, good lighting, etc. We lived just as at home for a month. Neighborhood is very quiet, and perfect bicycle-distance from town. Best aspect was Erin, who was a great host and all-around special person. She was very helpful in many ways, and really provided a great first experience on Utila.

I recently stayed at Rubis Inn in Utila for the second time, and it was just as wonderful as I remembered. Alex made check-in seamless and stress-free, which got my stay off to the perfect start. Mr. and Mrs. Rubi are such gracious hosts, always available and ready to help if I needed anything on the property. The dock on site offers a beautiful view that’s perfect for relaxing and soaking in the island’s charm. If you’re looking for a welcoming, comfortable place to stay in Utila, Rubis Inn is an excellent choice!

Meine Bewertung!?! leider muss ich mich kurz fassen, ich habe nur 1000 Zeichen, ich hätte aber viel mehr zu schreiben. Diese Bewertung ist die schwierigste die ich je machen musste. Im regelfall schreibt man, es war alles gut, es war alles schön, es war alles top. Aber bei Joe und Janelle ist es anders. Du bist bei Joe und Janelle kein Gast, du bist auch kein Freund, du bist Familie. Lasst es mich kurz erklären: Es geht schon mit den Casitas los: Ich habe noch nie eine so liebevolle und mit herzblut ausgestattete Airbnb-Unterkunft gehabt. Es ist alles bis ins kleinste Detail so liebevoll eingerichtet und es wird an alles gedacht. Wir hatten eine Alexa, wir hatten schnurloses Ladegerät, wir hatten einen internetfähigen Fernseher, wir hatten alle nötigen Kochutensilien die man benötigt hätte, was aber gar nicht nötig war, weil Janelle uns über die ganze Zeit mit ihren Leckereien verköstigt hat. Wir sind sehr froh, und glücklich, die beiden kennengelernt zu haben. Wir drücken euch❤️

Tamara and the property manager Kevin were very responsive. The house stood out because of its waterfront location and easy access to snorkeling. Wearing water shoes, you can walk right in and easily swim to the awesome coral reef where others are arriving via their dive boats. The bedrooms are air-conditioned. The saltwater pool in back was very enjoyable and kept clean. It was a short and easy walk to the Point restaurant, a great convenience.

What a wonderful experience! Not only is it the most friendly island we’ve been to Jo and Tony were just the best. This house has everything you need, the view is amazing, even the beautiful reef right out back was such a bonus. Thank you so much Jo and Tony, we will return. Next trip I’m getting dive certified

Támaras Tree House was amazing. We had a small glitch and Tamara answered quickly, kindly and proactive. Tree House is off the beaten path. Peaceful and away from the fun craze of Main St. Would recommend to others.

This was a wonderful experience. We highly recommend this place, not just for the amenities but for the host. Snorkeling out front was beautiful, the pool was great, nice trade winds, whole house filtered water. Jo met us at the dock with a tuk tuk, her personal vehicle and had lined up two golf cart rentals that were at the dock as well. We were able to smoothly get all our luggage and people to the house without stress. She got us settled in, explained everything about the house, and had a guide to Utila with a ton of useful information. The house was equipped with solar panels which really decreased our power usage. Power is extremely expensive on Utila. It's about 4 times what it is in the states. Expect to pay extra unless you want to run the AC all the time or rent a house with solar panels like this one. I don't think we could have had a better host or better house while we were on the island! Thanks so much, Jo!

Hibiscus is a beautiful property. It is located on a beautiful and quiet stretch of sandy beach and breathtaking views of the caribbean sea. The bay along coast has great snorkeling just steps off the beach. There is plenty off sandy beach to roam barefooted and enjoying the views of ocean and wildlife. The back porch offers a perfect location for enjoying a cup of coffee will watching the sunrise over the the water and enjoy the crashing waves roll onto the beach. The house is well decorated and apportioned for a comfortable stay. Tony and Jo will even have the house provisioned for you before you arrive after filling out a list. Tony and Jo are the best hosts I have dealt with for vacation rentals. They are always available to reply to questions and requests. They would have beer and water delivered when requested. Bonus! Tony and Jo are very friendly and knowledgeable and wonderful human beings. I would pick a house just to have them as hosts!

Our stay with Joe and Janelle was absolutely unforgettable—truly the most incredible Airbnb experience we’ve ever had. We visited as a family of four (with two kids, 12 and 14) and left feeling completely recharged and so grateful for the hospitality. Every morning, Joe delivered a delicious homemade breakfast to our casita (and dinner on a few evenings too!), and each meal was out of this world. The food alone is worth the trip, but the warmth and generosity of our hosts made it even more special. We snorkeled, kayaked, lounged in hammocks, and completely unplugged—yes, even our kids! That’s how magical this place is. The casitas are beautifully finished, thoughtfully stocked, and super comfortable. The WiFi was reliable for checking in on work when we needed to, but we mostly stayed offline and just soaked it all in. With Joe’s jokes and stories and Janelle’s cooking—together, they made our stay extraordinary. We can’t wait to come back. These two have truly found their calling.

The most amazing trip with the most amazing hosts! We cannot say enough good things about Joe and Janelle. They made us feel right at home. Treated us like family and made us feel like part of their community. To say they went out their way to make us comfortable is an understatement. The Casita was so cozy, clean and perfect. If you think the pictures look great wait until you see it in person. The breakfast every morning and dinners during our stay blew us away. Each delicious as the next, plus all the bread is home made! They set us up with a fishing trip and exploring the cays across the way. I would recommend their place to anyone and everyone. If you want a real taste of Caribbean life should look like spend sometime at Sunshine Casita with Joe and Janelle

We had an amazing stay at this Airbnb. Anita was extremely nice and very welcoming. She made sure our stay was very pleasant. The place looks exactly as described on line. The house is located close to the Utila Dream Ferry port, which makes it convenient. There are a lot of restaurants, bars, and shops at walking distance. Definitely staying at the Airbnb again in the feature. Thank you !

Cute, cozy place! We were mostly gone in the day but got to watch scary movies at night on the tv. Place was clean and as described! Easy to find and Andrea gave clear instructions since the beginning. ~ A recommendation to those visiting would be to take a blanket as AC units are hard to control and since Utila is so hot people do not use those. Just a rec since I get cold easily! ~

Beyond Paradise is a most fitting name. The view of the sun rising and the waves breaking over the reef was fabulous. The peaceful sounds of the waves and the sea breezes though the palms was hypnotic. Snorkeling from the shore was great and the reef was beautiful with abundant life. We were provided a list of restaurants with personal reviews that proved to be both helpful and accurate. The house was beautiful on the inside and the wrap-around porch led to more than one nap in the hammock.

A wonderful setting for a memorable vacation, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Caribbean! A great spot to be as active or as relaxed as you like. Trish is a wonderful host and is very accommodating along with her amazing crew.
