Utila : locations de vacances

This was our second stay at the Caye House, and we will be back again. Tina, the property manager, is a gem! She's always so welcoming, super helpful, and concerned for our comfort. The house itself is perfectly located on the main strip within walking distance of pretty much everything, but it is on the water - so super peaceful. The house is large and airy, perfect for a small group. Our group dived with Watersports, and they picked us up and dropped us off on our private dock every day. The porch and private dock are perfect for watching sunrises and sunsets or taking a dip in the harbor. There's a freshwater shower at the end of the dock. The kitchen is fabulous if you want to make your own meals. All the rooms have great views. We love the Caye House, and our group is looking forward to our return.

Le petit appartement était propre et correspondait à la description. L'espace était suffisant pour notre petite famille de 3, mais un lit supplémentaire ou un lit plus large aurait été mieux. L'hôte nous avait proposé d'ajouter un lit, mais nous avons préféré rester ainsi. L'accès à la mer est facile (moins à marée basse par contre). Le corail semble en bonne santé et une grande variété de vie marine nous attend directement devant la maison, c'est fantastique. La douche, par contre, ne fonctionnait pas très bien et l'eau chaude ne durait même pas 2 minutes avant de devenir froide. La pression d'eau était très faible et la pomme de douche avait un sérieux besoin de nettoyage au vinaigre ou bien d'être changée. Le restaurant tout près (à 2 maisons) est très bon, mais à prix nord américain, pas d'Amérique centrale. Sa proximité a des pours et des contres. Je recommande fortement le lieu et nous y retournerions avec plaisir.

11+ out of 10. Joe and Janelle are an amazing team. The property is spectacular with a view of the cays and Janelle is constantly working to make sure the property is spotless. The casitas were designed by Joe and decorated by Janelle and are lovely - from the screened in porch, drinkable water supply, quality bedding and towels, and little niceties such as a wireless phone charger and nightlights. The morning breakfasts were a highlight, cooked by Janelle and delivered to the casita by Joe at a time of your choosing. All the bread is homemade and there was zero repetition during our 7 days. The three dinners were equally delicious as Janelle is a topnotch chef. We looked forward to Joe's stories (jokes) which were delivered with impeccable timing. The wifi is consistent and even available on the top deck of the dock. Lounging there with the spectacular view and a good book was a wonderful way to while away a few hours every day. One of the treats was watching the rays from the dock

The house exceeded our expectations - spacious, comfortable and with high quality fittings. Its setting is amazing, by a private stretch of coral beach with your own small pool and pier. Given its remoteness, we had a few issues with water and electricity, all of which were taken care of by Aaron promptly. The snorkelling just off the pier is absolutely AMAZING, especially at night when we were able to see some more unusual marine life. We used Tank’d diving school to dive every day, who offered a superb service, collecting us and dropping us off at our pier every day. Access to town isn’t at all easy with the nearest restaurant and grocery shop a 20-minute walk in hot weather and persecuted by sandflies, the food at Neptune’s is ok for an occasional meal, but, like us, you will need to prepare most of your meals. Make sure you plan your grocery shop well as there’s no food at all provided (salt, pepper, coffee, sugar etc). Perfect place for marine enthusiasts, we loved it.

If you're considering staying here, stop searching—this is the best Airbnb you can find in Utila! The location is perfect, right on the main street and just a 10-minute walk from the ferry. Roland and Florence were incredibly kind and welcoming, making our stay even better. The place itself is super comfortable—just what you need after a long day of activities. Highly recommended!

Cons: Beautiful home and surrounding areas, the pool and view are simply amazing!! The house is big and lots of areas to enjoy the view and company. Pros: no grill and far from the stores/beach. locals charge L100 (Honduran money)per peson/one way, it was 10 of us so it got expensive quickly. Otjer than this I highly recommend this house! Utila beaches are beautiful 😍

Quand je suis arrivée au "centre-ville" d'Utila j'ai trouvé cela bruyant et trop achalandé à mon goût. Donc j'ai cherché et trouvé ce Airbnb à l'extérieur du centre. La localisation était parfaite, à 20 minutes du centre à pied, mais surtout répondait à mon besoin de calme et de tranquilité. L'appartement est moderne et bien équipé et Naomie est d'une gentillesse et d'une aide exceptionnelle. Elle répondait très rapidement aux messages et était toujours là pour aider. Si vous cherchez un endroit calme pour vous reposer c'est la place. Pour ma part, je venais à Utila pour la plongée alors je marchais le matin jusqu'à l'école de plongée et revenait en tuk tuk le soir. Bon rapport qualité-prix pour Utila. Parfait pour une personne ou un couple.

Cheri’s place on Utila is a hidden gem! They are genuinely some of the nicest people I have met while traveling - we didn’t want to leave! The place is exactly as described but BETTER in person. Those picture windows in the front of the house are huge - photos don’t do them justice. Cheri was also so accommodating before our arrival, getting quotes for dives and even when all the dive shops were booked up, she contacted a friend and made she we got on a boat for a 2 tank dive! There are so many beautiful places in the world that it’s hard to justify going to the same place twice, but Cheri’s place/Utila will definitely be on my future travel list.

If I come back to Utila, I will be staying at Tara's hut again. I had all the modern amenities I wanted (running water, electricity, wifi) plus a forested feeling that was enchanting.With all the windows open, I spent at least the first and last hour of every day just taking in the sounds of birds, rustling greenery, and (my absolute favorite) geckos! I also enjoyed the 10 minute walk back and forth from town. Tara also had all sorts of unlisted amenities and was very generous with sharing her property like bicycles and local recommendations. A couple things I was okay with but not everyone might be: - as listed, there's no air conditioning but it was cooler in the hut than outside of it and, because no AC, the windows and all the tropical spunds got to flow in - the outside does get in sometimes, like a mosquito here and there or sand flies if you leave the door open in the morning/dusk. This is just a reality of Utila life though so pack accordingly. Absolutely worth the pick.
