Great place to stay was clean and relaxing and the pool was great for the family. The host was very helpful and friendly, informed us of local restaurants and events in the area including a medieval festival that was taking place whilst we were there. Communication was easy, was more than happy to help. Thank you again!

The apartment was just great! It’s completely new, clean, very big, comfortable, has everything you need, also for a longer stay: equipped kitchen, wash machine and iron, a big bathroom and a second toilet. It has a good location in the center of Matosinhos. Ana is a good host and communication was great. I would definitely recommend this apartment!

We enjoyed our stay. The host was hospitable and easy to communicate with through Airbnb. We were so appreciative of the warm bread at our door step each morning. We loved how the stores were within walkable distance and there was also a laundry self service literally across the street.

The Nest is an amazing place to stay it is beautiful and so peaceful. the house is outstanding as well as the garden. Stunning remote location, lovely host.

La maison correspondait parfaitement a la description, endroit paisible et vue incroyable, Vania était très reactive et sympathique. Attention a l’accessibilité en voiture, le passage est très étroit pour les grosses voitures

Floriane and Christophe's property was the perfect setting for our extended family group. We were a party of 10 spanning three generations and the split of individual apartments ensured we didn't get in each other's way. The air-conditioned apartments were tastefully decorated, well-equipped and extremely comfortable. All fixtures and fittings were new and each apartment was spotlessly clean on arrival. The large pool is surrounded by a beautifully established garden with towering cactuses and a winding wisteria. The outside dining area accommodated everyone and came complete with two BBQs. A large supermarket is located within a short drive, as is a train station with direct links to central Porto. The city and the airport are also accessible by car within 40 minutes. The inland town of Amarante is also well worth a visit. In summary, Floriane and Christophe were excellent hosts with a delightful property. We hope to return soon.

An unforgettable family getaway at Quinta Refúgio Abreu! This place is a true luxury retreat — elegant, spacious, and surrounded by nature. We stayed as a family and couldn’t have asked for more. From the moment we arrived, the Portugal Active team took care of everything with incredible attention to detail. We had a private kitchen and cleaning team throughout our stay, and the service was outstanding — from breakfast to dinner, every meal was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The kids loved the pool and the games room, while we enjoyed the peaceful garden, the tennis court, and relaxing in the outdoor lounge. We also booked some of the activities Portugal Active offers — horseback riding and a local food experience — and both were absolutely amazing. This is not just a holiday house, it’s an experience. Highly recommended for families looking for something special and stress-free!

The Villa was clean, super spacious and equipped with everything you might need. Just a 2 min walk from the beach, with a bakery and some restaurants also close by. Everything worked out just perfect and we had no complaints and Clara responded to messages relatively quickly. We really enjoyed the Villa and our stay. The only issue was communicating with the person who we had to contact when we needed something once we stayed at the Villa, response to our questions was usually late.

Marisa’s property was absolutely perfect for our family (10 adults). The individual apartments were lovely, clean and comfortable and gave everyone their own personal space while also providing a common space for us to gather. We were greeted promptly on our arrival with a tour and clear instructions. (And a nice welcome basket of goodies!) The location was also great, giving us access to restaurants and attractions. Very walkable to most places. Highly recommend this property!

Absolutely beautiful venue!! There are no words. Communication beforehand was fab. Antonio was really helpful and booked us a sunrise yoga session for the day we left. He was responsive to questions & made sure everything was organised for us so that we could have the best time! Maria did the most amazing breakfast for us everyday. She even made sure I had a special gluten free basket of goodies! The venue was clean & had everything we needed. It wasn’t the greatest weather but Maria came in & put the log fire on for us, which was sooo cosy! Wish we could have stayed longer but had to get back for work. Thank you so much for making my friend’s celebratory weekend the BEST!!

Avec un petit groupe d’amis, avons passé 4 jours magnifiques à proximité de Porto. Le cadre dans lequel est situé la villa est a coupé le souffle, à seulement quelques hectomètres de l’embouchure du Douro! La maison est magnifique et très propre et agencée avec goût. La cuisine est très bien fournie en ustensiles et électroménagers ce qui est parfait. La piscine est très agréable pour ce rafraîchir après une journée de visites.

Lovely property which was quiet and secluded. Facilities and aircon excellent also. If I have any criticism there could have been better communication re fixtures and appliances, bins, recycling, etc. The instruction to access the keys was excellent though not all of us are familiar with electronic gates! The water pressure is not great for showering despite taking it in turns and the toaster tripped the fuse to the whole kitchen on arrival which was interesting trying to find the fuse board to put it right though Rodrigo did respond to our call quickly. On balance a lovely place and would consider visiting again.

Had a great time in Marie’s place. She welcomed us really well sharing local places we could go to to shop or eat, and recommendation for Porto. Very easy to check in and flexible which was great. The house is very big with all amenities, and a very nice area by the swimming pool. Thanks again !

We had a wonderful stay with friends visiting Porto for a long weekend. The house has great amenities, including the pool, plenty of games, and great living areas. Check in process was smooth and communication was ongoing and consistent.

Immaculate, well stocked, charming cottage. Beautiful grounds and views. Very private and peaceful. João responds quickly. Unique experience. Highly recommend.

Although there was 6 of us, 4 couples accommodated easily with kitchen and social areas to match. Quite a walk to amenities and beach. Although we had a hire car (almost essential for shopping etc) to go to Porto was only €15 Euros using Uber so didn’t bother driving there. Photos make it look smaller than it is, quite spacious and comfortable. Pool very clean and well maintained. Very quiet surroundings / no noise from neighbours. Host was close by if needed (although we didn’t need to get in touch). Beds very comfortable and we all had a lovely holiday. Thanks again.

Très belle maison ancienne le long du Douro. La piscine est superbe, et les couchers de soleil sur la vallée sont mémorables ! Attention néanmoins, on vient chercher de l’authentique, la maison est assez rustique à l’intérieur, il faut y être préparé, mais globalement ce séjour était un vrai plaisir. Et pour ceux qui ont le sommeil léger, prévoir boules quies et bandeaux. On a eu quelques petites déconvenues, mais nos hôtes ont toujours étés réactifs pour solutionner les problèmes. Je recommande ! Merci pour votre accueil.

Luxusní ubytování v klidné lokalitě cca 1:15 hod od letiště v Portu. V okolí jsou restaurace s dobrým hodnocením. Obchod s širokým sortimentem potravin cca 30 minut autem od domu. Vzdálenost od dálnice cca 30 minut. Parkování u domu. Ideální pro dva páry či rodinu s dětmi. Výborná volba pro hosty, kteří preferují klid a pohodu před stálým ruchem města. Byli jsme velmi spokojeni.
