This beautiful Oakland Oasis was better than I imagined it would be! This place exceeded my expectations! Coming through the gate the first night, to a path of twinkling lights leading us to our adorable cabin took my breath away! It was the perfect location for peace and quiet right in the middle of Oakland. My only regret is that I didn’t spend more time on the property. We flew in from out of state to visit friends and spent a lot of time out and about. I definitely want to come back to spend more time hanging out in the backyard with the goats and chickens. My 13-year-old loved the backyard, the trampoline and the animals. The location was very walkable and within several blocks of many restaurants and shops. We rented a car and street parking was easily accessible. Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park was only an 8 minute drive away and we spent most mornings walking through the mountains enjoying the beautiful trees and views of San Francisco. Highly recommend this listing!

Geoffrey and Camille were wonderful and the apartment was very homey. We had a very comfortable stay with everything we needed. Great location, quiet, plenty of space but still easily walkable to downtown. We would stay there again!

Great property and the cozy studio was perfect for our needs. Easy to navigate entering the property and it’s close food and entertainment. We enjoyed the privacy and would enjoy to stay again

We were so grateful to be able to stay at Maria‘s again. We have been lucky enough to stay there a number of times when we have come up to the Bay Area to visit our relatives. Her cottage feels like home to us. Maria and Chris, her husband, are so welcoming and kind. The setting is beautiful. We love being able to look at the view and to enjoy Maria‘s beautiful garden. We love taking walks in the area. It is a perfect place to work , sitting at the table looking out at the garden. We look forward to the next time we get to stay there. Maria goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome. She’s available and easily reachable to help us with any questions we might have. She is the quintessential host. We hope to stay in her beautiful cottage again soon.

Really nice place to stay, comfortable bed, comfortable sofa and a good kitchen. A nice decking area with loungers to enjoy the outdoors, and the property has a great view of the sunrise. Near to Sonoma town and really easy to get around. Eliza was a perfect host, recommending local wineries and really responsive and friendly. Easy self check in as well. We really enjoyed having a nice place to relax in after a day walking in the national parks and sightseeing!

We enjoyed our stay at Barbara's charming Backyard Beach House for the third time, and felt at home there. We find it restful to stay in this quiet neighborhood. It's always nice to communicate with Barbara and Ken, as they are readily available if we have questions or requests. We consider this house a gem of a find. Thank you again Barbara and Ken for contributing to our lovely vacation.

I rented Polina’s place for my daughter and toddler grandson during their visit to the area because my husband and I did not have room for them to stay with us. It was an excellent choice - a lovely well maintained unit on the grounds of Polina and her family’s home in the hills above Walnut Creek. Very peaceful area, yet close to downtown and transportation options. Polina was so kind and helpful, the unit has everything one would need for a short stay in the area. Highly recommended and a good value for the area.

Oh what a hidden gem this place is! I walked in and immediately felt at home thanks to its natural charm as well as the host’s thoughtful touches. The space itself is filled with natural light and very conveniently located. I had rented a car and had no issue at all with unloading/finding street parking. Plus there’s a sweet waterfall super close by and it’s very quick drive to Muir Woods and Stinson beach. It’s one of those homes that can you can tell was designed thoughtfully - I’m a sucker for high quality appliances. The kitchen is lovely. I was so happy to get to cook meals on my trip and feel a bit of the grounding energy of a farm while being in a town/not too far from SF. 10/10 highly recommend!

The quest house is esthetically nice and well equipped. I enjoyed looking out to the patio with the bamboo screen and greenery. The location is very convenient to the freeway. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay

Rifat’s home was as advertised and she is a lovely host! Perfect set up for being productive, creative or just relaxing. Enjoyed coffee on the expansive patio in the morning and wine in the evening. A great spot to think and enjoy the scenery. Also plenty of great hikes nearby. Check out the local farmers market on Sundays. A fantastic stay!

Mary Lee and David have created an apartment that feels like home. Very thoughtful supplies and amenities, very responsive hosts, in a quiet and uncrowned neighborhood with easy access walking to the historic center, easy parking and easy access to the freeway. Met and exceeded all our needs.

Mira was quick to respond and provided clear directions. Her place is in a quiet residential neighborhood. It’s bright and airy and had everything we needed for our short stay! Will certainly stay again!

It’s a very private abode even though you share a gated entrance with the owner. Barry couldn’t have been friendlier and had a great spirt about him. We nerded out on landscaping, tiny homes, and rivers. He sold me on giving the American River some of my time this year. I’d absolutely stay here again. The only real issue was the effort to climb down a ladder half awake. I did it in the dark so I wouldn’t lose my cat eyes and wake up too fast. There’s plenty of outside lounging areas and the views are pretty. I had a decent view of the night sky to the east and above. The town may be busy but you’re perched hillside under some great live oaks. The neighborhood was full of quiet families and quirky houses that are truly Marin County in nature. Open space trails are just uphill and the town is just down. It’s very convenient to everything.

Fantastic location. Very nice hosts. We had a difficult time unlocking the door (it requires a certain trick). Luckily the host answered her phone and met us at the unit and taught us how to use the door. It was late and cold, so it was unfortunate, but grateful for the helpful host. We found the unit to be very nice, but quite drafty in the winter. We were traveling with a small baby, so this was a challenge. I bet this unit is wonder to stay in in the Spring and Summer months.

I loved the layout of this place. Had everything I needed ~wonderful spaciousness. I loved the dark and quiet. The surrounding trails were magnificent and it was close to all the amenities I needed in towns nearby not to mention the beautiful West Marin at your fingertips! I will definitely return.

Little heaven in the forest just half an hour drive to San Francisco. The hikes walking distance and the sauna the japenese bath make this Airbnb one of the most beautiful place I stayed in. It’s an amazing place experience and Sarah the host would do anything to help you. Thank you

This is a lovely little place conveniently located near North Berkeley and University Village. It's a safe family neighborhood with parking. Raquel is very responsive and I highly recommend this accommodation.

Petaluma is a great location for exploring Sonoma county and surrounds, and Carole's place is perfectly located in a lovely part of town very close to the historic downtown. The property is as descried, and cosy yet spacious. It was a great place to both hang out in and relax, and venture out from for local explorations. We may become annual guests! Carole was super responsive to questions and concerns, and was committed to making sure we enjoyed our stay.

This perfectly-appointed cabin in the sky was the ideal escape “between the years.” It rained every day of our stay but that did not stop us from walking down to the beach, grabbing a bite at Parkside Cafe, and exploring every hiking trail in walking distance. (Highly recommend the Dipsea trail to Steep Ravine with a side bar to the Stinson Tree.) Carey really thought of everything: not only was the bed comfy and the place spotlessly clean, the kitchen was well-equipped (cream for the coffee!) as was the bathroom (thick towels!) We especially appreciated the clear instructions for operating windows and other things. It was our best Airbnb experience to date and we can’t wait to come back.

Wow.... just WOW! The Bathhouse is definitely one, if not, the best BNB we've stayed at. It felt just like home the moment we stepped in. Every corner and every detail of the house was thoughtfully designed to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. The hot tub outside surrounded by plants and the big redwood was definitely the cherry on top. Also, Suzanne gave clear directions on finding the place. Her guidebook was also very helpful and provided lots of recommendations. She even left us a little treat for our anniversary. ♥️ The Bathhouse was definitely my favorite during our trip to SF.

We chose this stay to host guests over the holidays and it had everything we could’ve needed. The kitchen was functional for cooking breakfast and the rooms were very private and had their own bathrooms. Xing Tian was very helpful when we needed an extra gate key, and when we had any questions. We’ll definitely be coming back!

At the last minute we needed to find a place to stay in Alameda and this choice ended up being a gem! Everything was easy to navigate - check in/out, communication and use of facilities. The rental was recently renovated and extremely clean (including the towels, sheets, and kitchen supplies). So happy for that! And having a washer/dryer was the best!! I could have packed half the amount of clothing. There are no steps entering or within this unit, which was important due to our elderly grandparent who traveled with us. One thing to note: if you are a coffee drinker, I suggest bring instant coffee. There is a tea pot to boil water.
