The home and property were amazing! We loved the hot tub and full body massage chair!! The two close towns were fun to walk around and had great food!! The host was very helpful and responsive to any questions we had!

This is our third time staying at Shirley and Gary's retreat and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the lake. It was the perfect size for my family and the boat dock and covered porch are both great retreats. The kitchen was very well stocked. The washer and dryer are great to have for lake towels and bathing suits. The beds are comfortable and towels are well stocked. The living room is very comfortable and TV has streamed services. The lake is just a short walk down a wide trail. We were able to fish under the covered dock and caught several catfish. We were also able to dock our boat and go out fishing and there is ample space to store fishing and tubing supplies when docked for the day. We recommend a wagon to help carry items to the dock. Thanks so much Shirley and Gary, we will return again!

Kevin was very responsive and kind. He took time to contact us during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. The house was very clean and comfortable. The wildlife in the yard everyday was just like home. I will definitely rebook with him again.

Great Stay for a Metal Detecting Trip Overall, this was a great stay for our group of eight on a week-long metal detecting trip. The house was comfortable and worked well for our needs. A few notes for future guests: 1. Check-In: Be sure to call the listed phone number for check-in instructions rather than relying on Airbnb Messenger. 2. Bedding: Not all beds had sheets when we arrived, but Gary quickly resolved this. 3. Guest Confusion: We had a few random visitors asking where to check in for the camp, which was unexpected. We directed them to Gary, but it seems check-in for the cottages on the property can be unclear for some guests. 4. Kitchen Supplies: The house could use more pots and pans, especially frying pans. 5. Hot Water: Plenty of hot water for eight guys showering—no issues there! Sleeping Arrangements: • 2 Guests on Cots: One in the downstairs den, one in the upstairs living room • Bedroom Setup: • 1 Room: 2 Single Beds – Shared Bath • 1 Queen – Private Bath

We had a great time. The house is spacious and the lake is wonderful. This is the most well equipped rental that we have ever stayed in. They could use a trash can upstairs and a few serving spoons. The hosts are very friendly and helpful! We'd love to go back again!

Clayton’s place was the epitome of a classic American 4th of July! We had 7 in our group plus a baby and we couldn’t have had a better time. The house is a dream and has everything you could need as we cooked all of our meals there and even used the smoker! Also the trail to the dock was directly across from the driveway and was so easy to access with the golf cart. If anything the pictures undersold the reality of how beautiful this place was for a summer holiday. We plan to return with the same group every year from now on! This place is where traditions are made. Would highly recommend for your trip to Kerr Lake. Also use Kerr Lake Adventures for any water craft rentals - we were able to keep our boat at Clayton’s dock for the duration of the trip! Brian from Kerr Lake adventures dropped off/ picked up the boat from the dock as well - so convenient! We can’t wait to come back!

I have traveled to 47 of the lower 48, stayed in many many houses. This one was by far one of my favorites. It was secluded, private, and peaceful. The house was very aesthetically pleasing and exactly what I had in mind. There is a 100% chance I will book this home again in the future.

Very convenient location to downtown, grocery stores, an amazing park and great restaurants. Peaceful and private which makes it a bonus!

Margo’s home was clean and inviting and we felt right at home. She always responded within a few minutes of messaging her and the book with all the restaurants and stores that were close was very helpful. The golf cart ride to the dock was fun and the hot tub very relaxing. This was our 2nd time staying here and we hope to stay again in the future.

Our stay here was the highlight of our entire trip. We loved the feeling of the farm. My son caught his first fish! We enjoyed taking the cart all over. Our stay there was the perfect breath of fresh air. My kiddos loved it! Highly recommed. Incredible hosts.

We stayed at this lovely home with two families, including our kids. The house was incredibly cozy and offered everything we needed. The living area was comfortable, the kitchen was spacious and well equipped. The property is beautifully remote, situated right in front of a serene lake, which added to the charm. The kids had a blast using the fire pit for marshmallow roasting . It was the perfect setting for both relaxation and family fun. We made sure to leave the house clean and followed the host’s instructions to turn off the thermostat before leaving. The only minor concern was the driveway—it was hard to navigate in the dark, and the path wasn’t very clear. However, everything else was fantastic, and we truly enjoyed our stay. Five stars, and we would definitely recommend it to others.
