Marli was so kind and hospitable! She greeted us from the roadside to help us locate the AirBnb, provided a corn bread and olive oil snack for our arrival, and was very thorough with her tour of the apartment. The space was impeccably clean and well organized, not to mention the beautiful terrace views. Highly recommend staying here. At her recommendation, my partner and I had a bbq dinner at the restaurant right beside the apartment and it was fantastic and extremely well priced.

Helga and Mario have a beautiful clean place with incredible views of the Douro River Valley. We had great instructions to get to the home and how to get in with a keyless code. It was raining and cold so we were soaked getting the gate open and getting suitcases inside. There’s a fireplace in the living area and I asked Helga if we could get firewood and within minutes someone arrived with wood and he even built us a fire. When I made my reservation, I mentioned that I needed a haircut/ pedicure and Helga made me an appointment with Sonia in the next village of Tabuaço for the day after we arrived, that was wonderful service and kind of her. I was very pleased. Helga gave very good information on things to do in the area and places to eat. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have had while traveling. Everything was clean and as stated in the listing. The bedroom and bathroom are upstairs if that is an issue but we were told this before we booked. Thanks for a lovely stay.

We were a group of 3. We travel a lot and we really appreciated all of the thoughtful touches at Ana's place! We drove from Porto and arrived early and Ana was very flexible about allowing us to leave our bags earlier than the check in time. Of the Airbnbs in Portugal, this was our favorite. Do not expect modern decorations but you can count on many comforts that other Airbnbs do not have. Not only is fresh bread delivered each morning but Ana also stocked her kitchen with fresh fruit, milk, juice, sugar, honey, jams, plenty of coffee pods, and she stocked the refrigerator with cheese, eggs, beer, a bottle of wine. The place is very spacious and could have comfortably accommodated more than 3 people. There are cosy bathrobes in the closets, an extra blanket, slippers and plenty of outlets in the bedroom. The bed was very comfortable and the balcony is so lovely and peaceful. If you come to Pinhao, I highly recommend Ana's place!

A beautiful house in a great location with a wonderful view from the terrace, with a very nice natural pool, but a bit cold because of the constantly fresh water. The neighborhood is very quiet and welcoming. We were a bit unlucky because of the wildfires. So we had to leave 2 days early to be sure to get to the airport and catch our plane. Irene was very friendly and open hearted and took great care of the house and pool. We can fully recommend this villa.

We had a superior week at Murilo's home. We have stayed in more than 40 rental houses and this was one of the very best. The house is superbly presented, is spotlessly clean, well-appointed and well-provisioned with everything one could need. The home is situated to take advantage of the most beautiful scenery. We enjoyed most mornings with a cup of coffee sitting on the veranda enjoying the mountains. The beds were very comfortable, as was all of the other furniture. The kitchen had a large fridge/freezer (American style) and a really good stove top. It is electric, like most in Europe, but this one is particularly fast and responsive. There were plenty of utensils, pots and pans, plates, glasses etc., electric kettle, toaster, microwave and coffee machine. There isn't much else to say really, other than it really is a wonderful home to rent. Murilo was accessible and communicated well. He responded very quickly to any enquiry. We would gladly stay there again without hesitation.

Perfect jumping off point for Douro Valley. The house served our family of 5 well. We had a great experience with the property manager, Beatriz. She was very communicative and even helped us ship home a few items we left behind. Overall a great stay.

Our stay at Casa Solar do Douro was perfect! As soon as you enter the driveway, you are surrounded by beautiful fruit trees. The check-in process was smooth with a walkthrough by your host explaining every room. The house was spotless and has everything you need. Pots & pans, basic cooking spices/oils, pod coffee pot and drip coffee pot, juicer, and dishwasher completes the kitchen. All bedrooms have a smart tv, making relaxing time easy with Netflix, etc. Bedside lamps include usb chargers and the beds are extremely comfortable with layered bedding. All bathrooms have towels for shower and pool, hand soap, and toilet paper. Washing machine upstairs, and clothes hanger outside make laundry easy. The pool is absolutely amazing, not heated, but if you go in the summer is the perfect refreshing temperature. Lots of seating options outside, including 2 large umbrellas. The family restaurant downstairs has delicious food and awesome service. Highly recommend the octopus! 10/10 vacation!

We celebrated New Year’s Eve at Jose’s house. Our stay was wonderful! We asked Jose to have a tree and some decorations, and the house was decorated with the beautiful Christmas tree, candles and fresh green tree branches. There were a lot of kitchen supplies. Everything to cook and eat in a big company. Although it was cold in the kitchen, we used the fireplace. All the rooms are equipped with air conditioning. We also enjoyed eating tasty oranges and mandarins. In addition, Jose and Sergio greeted us with the table full of snacks and 2 bottles of their own wine. Great time in the peaceful location! We would like to come back in summer.

Hostitel byl velmi milý, flexibilní a nápomocný. Předal nám skvělé tipy na zajímavá místa, uvítal nás, nabídl lokální vína a skvělé portské. V ubytování bylo vše potřebné, jen trochu chladno, což se ale v prosinci dalo očekávat. Lokalita je úžasná, určitě doporučuji.
