We had an amazing stay! The pictures do not do justice to the beauty of the view and surroundings. Book this place if you want a truly memorable stay in the small and charming town in the Douro Valley.

Laurence and Jorge’s home provided a peaceful and beautiful escape in the Douro valley! The surrounding village is small and quaint with lovely views around every corner. The roads are winding, skinny and steep - no different from any other small town or city in Portugal. The home was impeccably clean, the Murphy bed surprisingly comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. A fantastic spot!

Anísia was a great host! She anticipated problems locating the airbnb, and sent us google maps coordinates, which were perfect! We really loved being able to park on the property. We loved sitting in the sun room with the many windows overlooking the valley. Anísia left us some port to try, which was really good! The beds were really comfortable! It took us a few minutes to figure out how to turn on the heat. There is a remote that controls all of the units (one in each bedroom). Anísia helped us find a Catholic Mass on Sunday - we had trouble because the many parishes in the area didn't have a website. Overall, we loved our stay and would stay here again!

O Pedro e o seu pai foram muito simpáticos e pretaveis!! A estadia foi curta mas excelente! Ainda tivemos o pão para o pequeno almoço á porta.....muito bom!! A casa muito limpa e com tudo o que era necessário 🙂 Sem qualquer dúvida que será um alojamento a repetir! Obrigada ao Pedro e ao seu pai !! 😁

Lovely 2 night stay to break up a long motorhome tour of Portugal and Spain. Luís’s place was perfect for us and our two dogs. It’s set in beautiful countryside with lots of local walks. The house is quite remote but has everything you need and is very well maintained. Logs are provided for the wood burner which was an added bonus and a local baker delivered bread to our door. Luis was a very helpful and welcoming host. It was lovely place to stay. Thank you, Luís.

Very comfortable accommodation, very well equipped. Plenty of hot water. Good heating. Netflix available on TV using my own login. Comfortable bed, plenty of spare blankets for cooler nights. Beautiful area and beautiful views from the property. Thanks Maria. PS. Thanks for the bottle of wine.

What a lovely place! Close to town for provisions. Right in heart of Duoro valley for travelling. Easy to reach Porto & braga. Fatima really helpful and left loads of good recommendations. Cold weather for March but a nice pellet burner in lounge to keep us warm!

Tivemos uma excelente hospedagem no imóvel da Ana. Casa extremamente limpa e com tudo o que precisar. O jardim da casa é magnífico, muito bem cuidado e reservado. Perfeito para refeições como pequeno almoço. Com certeza voltaremos outras vezes.

Je krijgt meer dan je ziet. Zeer rustig en in prachtige omgeving. De host is bescheiden en netjes. Uitmuntend. Minstens 6 sterren.

La verdad, es que solo se trataba de una escapada de fin de semana con mi pareja y la familia. La recomendación que nos hizo Fernando del restauran fue muy buena, próxima a la vivienda. Fue fácil aparcar, dimos un paseo por la zona, mucha tranquilidad y lo pasamos fenomenal.

Espaço maravilhoso onde alultos e crianças se sentiram em casa.

Helga and Mario have a beautiful clean place with incredible views of the Douro River Valley. We had great instructions to get to the home and how to get in with a keyless code. It was raining and cold so we were soaked getting the gate open and getting suitcases inside. There’s a fireplace in the living area and I asked Helga if we could get firewood and within minutes someone arrived with wood and he even built us a fire. When I made my reservation, I mentioned that I needed a haircut/ pedicure and Helga made me an appointment with Sonia in the next village of Tabuaço for the day after we arrived, that was wonderful service and kind of her. I was very pleased. Helga gave very good information on things to do in the area and places to eat. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have had while traveling. Everything was clean and as stated in the listing. The bedroom and bathroom are upstairs if that is an issue but we were told this before we booked. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Fomos como nossos Pets e foi muito tranquilo. Encontramos lugar para comer nas proximidades e vagas para estacionar sempre por perto embora fosse vaga paga e tivemos que acordar cedo no dia seguinte para colocar novo bilhete de parking. As explicações dela são bem organizadas e não tivemos nenhum inconveniente ou intercorrências, realmente recomendo.

We were a group of 3. We travel a lot and we really appreciated all of the thoughtful touches at Ana's place! We drove from Porto and arrived early and Ana was very flexible about allowing us to leave our bags earlier than the check in time. Of the Airbnbs in Portugal, this was our favorite. Do not expect modern decorations but you can count on many comforts that other Airbnbs do not have. Not only is fresh bread delivered each morning but Ana also stocked her kitchen with fresh fruit, milk, juice, sugar, honey, jams, plenty of coffee pods, and she stocked the refrigerator with cheese, eggs, beer, a bottle of wine. The place is very spacious and could have comfortably accommodated more than 3 people. There are cosy bathrobes in the closets, an extra blanket, slippers and plenty of outlets in the bedroom. The bed was very comfortable and the balcony is so lovely and peaceful. If you come to Pinhao, I highly recommend Ana's place!
