Virginia : locations de vacances

We stayed at Amy's in Two Harbors while we were up to do some birding, hiking, and exploring. Amy's place was a great location to be able to get to all the local spots from, and well within a reasonable drive to Duluth, without staying in the city!

Aubrey was very responsive. My husband left his favorite shirt and Aubrey responded to his message immediately and said she would have his shirt sent to him. The house was in a perfect location, within walking distance to all the bar, shops and restaurants. It is a super cute and clean house and the fenced in backyard worked great for our dogs.

It's a beautiful location and the views are amazing. The space is lovely, clean and incredibly well-appointed. There is everything you need. The hosts communicate very well, without ever being intrusive. Even if all you need is a few days away in the middle of winter, like I did? I highly recommend it.

Great cabin in a great location. We really enjoyed staying at the cabin. It has everything we need for a relaxing winter vacation. We hiked to the Kawishiwi Falls, visited the International Wolf Center, and went dog sledding. Thank you, Mike and Kelly, for your hospitality and recommendations for all the local restaurants/activities.

Overall, we had a nice stay. There were a few hiccups at the beginning with missing supplies and some things not clean, but Emily was very responsive and reimbursed the cleaning fee. We loved that they were just as “crunchy” as we are at home! They provide glass and stainless steel cookware and clean ingredient bathroom products. You can tell Emily is very conscientious of the products she provides her guests. We also enjoyed the sauna! We definitely recommend this beautiful getaway.

Great stay, perfect place to hang out and use as a base camp for the sites around the north shore! 10/10

A lovely home overlooking Lake Superior with all the amenities you could want! Our family enjoyed the proximity to some trails, beaches and Castle Danger. Definitely would come back!

Margo was a fabulous host and the cabin is absolutely gorgeous! Rustic soundings with a well equipped cabin full of small touches that show what a thoughtful host we had. We went snowshoeing, bird watched, enjoyed the dvd and book collection, cooked great meals in the excellent kitchen, read by the fire, and relaxed in the jet tub. Margo also made our dog Roderick feel equally welcome with a dog bed and bowls and easy covers for the furniture so he could sit with us. We cannot recommend Margo and her cabin highly enough!

I’ve owned my share of older homes, so I’m aware of the quirks they acquire with age. For an older home with radiator heat, this house was always cozy in the thick of winter. During our stay we experienced an active noisy sump pump that appeared to be frozen as it exited the foundation. The handyman was dispatched to examine the problem, but I think a seasonal thaw was necessary before a fix was possible. The bathrooms are well appointed, beds comfy and the kitchen had enough versatile equipment to make our meals possible. Spacious areas on main floor and second floor to spread out if you are a large group. We used this rental as a base while we went snowshoeing on the Superior Hiking Trail and spent an afternoon dog-sledding. Great fun! A mandatory meal with refreshments at Castle Danger Brewery was enjoyed as well.
