Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt. Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet und man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Der Parkplatz wird für grosse Autos zu eng sein, man kann aber auch auf der Strasse auserhalb des kleinen Dorfes parkieren. Wir werden sicherlich nicht das letzte Mal dort verweilen.

We absolutely loved staying here. Ricardo was super friendly and helpful. Quinta Freiera is a stunning farm with loads of grape vines, lemon trees, orange trees, passion fruit, etc. It was so special to stay in a house that has been in his family for over 200 years. I highly recommend this quinta!

Immaculate, well stocked, charming cottage. Beautiful grounds and views. Very private and peaceful. João responds quickly. Unique experience. Highly recommend.

A casa é muito espaçosa, com diversos ambientes e pode receber uma família numerosa tranquilamente. São 4 quartos e diversas salas com camas/sofás, todos os cômodos com aparelho de ar-condicionado/aquecimento. O espaço exterior é imenso e nosso cão adorou explora-lo todos os dias. Comunicação fácil e muito simpáticos os anfitriões 😊

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans la maison de Manuel. Nous sommes restés 8 jours avec ma famille. Mes enfants étant très jeunes (1 an et 2 ans), nous avons profité longuement de la maison! Elle est adaptée aux enfants. Attention tout de même à la piscine autour de laquelle il n’y a pas protection pour les petits. Il faut donc ouvrir l’œil. Mais à part cela tout est très bien. La vue depuis la maison est superbe. Manuel est très réactif et flexible. Une femme de ménage passe presque quotidiennement pour nous aider à l’entretien de la maison. Alojamiento para disfrutarlo a tope, cada rincón muy cuidado y con muchos detalles agradables. Situado a las afueras de Amarante, en una zona muy tranquila. Zona de barbacoa y piscina inmejorables, ideal para pasar unos días en familia. La casa no es muy grande, pero está bien aprovechada y no le falta de nada. Por otro lado, la atención de Paulo es digna de elogio, preocupándose en cada momento de nuestro bienestar, y contando con la ayuda de unos maravillosos vecinos que nos hicieron la estancia muy amena y agradable. Sin duda la calidad/precio es más que recomendable, repetiriamos con los ojos cerrados ahora que conocemos a Paulo y su entorno. Y otra cosa, vaya descubrimiento el Vino Verde de la zona, ¡qué rico! 🤤😃 Muchas gracias por todo, volveremos.

To everyone who’s thinking of renting this house; if you’re having doubts, this is the sign to go for it. I’m speaking on behalf of my family and myself. We were a group of 8 who had the lovely opportunity to spend New Year’s Eve in this beautiful space. To start with, pictures don’t do justice to the gem you find when you pass through the entrance door. The house seems like it blends or comes out of the mountain itself. Maintaining original external features of what it seemed an old house that was carefully blended into the newer structure of the main house. When you enter you have the feeling of being at home and from any of the panoramic windows to the west side of the house you get the breathtaking views of the Douro river They’ve thought of all details and making it a perfectly functional house to not have to leave for as long as you plan to stay there. Having the breakfast service is also another extra service we were really happy to have thank you for the lovely experience.

A nossa estadia foi fantástica! A casa é extremamente confortável e perfeita para um grupo de amigos. Aproveitámos imenso a piscina, o churrasco e o salão para jantares. É uma casa com uma decoração bonita e tranquila, ideal para relaxar e desfrutar de bons momentos em conjunto. Permitiu-nos sair da azáfama do dia a dia e ter um bom descanso. Recomendamos bastante e certamente iremos voltar!

This place is truly exceptional. We were three families (total of 12 people), and none of us wanted the vacation to end. Every detail in this villa is outstanding—from the fully equipped professional kitchen and the stunning pool area to the comfortable beds, stylish design, and air conditioning in every room. The villa is filled with beautifully furnished spaces and hidden gems, making it a place we’ll definitely return to. And we can’t forget Bernardo, our incredible host. He was helpful in every way, kind, and generous. A perfect 10 out of 10.

What an EXTRAORDINARY accommodation Casa Marmelo was for our group of 8 adults when visiting the Douro valley !!! Host Kate was super to work -- right from our initial contact for information through our date of departure. What an excellent WELCOME GUIDE she provided before our arrival - with valuable tips and suggestions for activities and dining throughout the area. Housekeeper Helene too could not have been more kind, charming, and helpful. What delicious breakfasts she made for us each morning. The entire property was kept so clean and tidy. What a memorable time we all had -- we all hope to be back!

Magnifique domaine niché dans les hauteurs de la région de Porto. Très belle découverte et tous les ingrédients présents pour passer de bons moments en famille. La rencontre des animaux présents dans le domaine ainsi que les prestations sont de véritables plus. Un grand merci !

I don't think you could ever tire of the views from Quinta do Fraguil. They're breathtaking - we kept taking just one more photo! It's so special to be able to see so far into the distance and right down to the bottom of the valley. Even the local viewing point didn't match it! From start to finish, Rui was a friendly and really responsive host. He made us feel confident as soon as we had booked that we were going to be staying somewhere special. He turned up to meet us when we arrived and was in really good contact any time we needed to ask him anything before or during our stay. The pool is a total highlight - a good size and really clean. The house itself was also really clean and tastefully furnished. The outside eating area was perfect and made you feel happy to stay 'at home' and cook! We had sunshine every day and warm evenings sitting outside. This is the sort of place that you feel really sad to leave at the end of your holiday and one that you're very likely to visit again.

Excelente espaço para umas férias tranquilas. Casa com excelentes comodidades, desde da piscina até ao entretenimento na sala de estar. Espaço bastante amplo para várias pessoas. Casa bem equipada, com todos eletrodomésticos e acessórios. Simpatia e prontidão na ajuda aos hóspedes. Ótimo serviço, a repetir.

Em grupo, habituados a fazer reservas por airbnb, decidimos reservar o alojamento do Sr. Rui. Foi, sem dúvida uma excelente decisão! O alojamento é muito espaçoso, com muito bom gosto, com todos os utensílios necessários, muito limpo e cuidado! Um espaço exterior muito bem preparado e confortável, desde a piscina, à churrasqueira, até às hortícolas! O Sr. Rui, foi incansável desde o nosso primeiro interesse, sempre disponível e preocupado. Aquando da nossa chegada, tínhamos uns miminhos muito saborosos. Sem dúvida, marca positivamente pela diferença o que, nos "obriga" a voltar (e voltaremos com todo o gosto). Obrigado, por tudo, Sr. Rui.

La estancia ha sido estupenda. Una casa grande y antigua, llena de historia y con vistas inmejorables. Alexandre nos ofreció mucha información de sitios donde ir y comer, pero optamos por disfrutar de la casa, su jardín y piscina. Julia fue también muy amable y buena cocinera.

Wir hatten einen großartigen Aufenthalt in der Unterkunft. Die Unterkunft ist abgelegen, ruhig und privat, genau wie wir uns das vorgestellt haben. Mit dem Auto ist man schnell bei Restaurants, bei einem Supermarkt oder bei einem Wanderweg. Ana und Lucia waren sehr freundlich, und haben sehr schnell geantwortet. Nachdem unsere Koffer im falschen Flugzeug gelandet waren und alles ewig gedauert hat, war der Check-in viel später als angegeben auch kein Problem. Danke nochmal dafür.

This is a family summer home where you instantly get a sense of peace. If you are looking for a quiet place to truly relax and recharge you have found it. Diane is helpful, responsive and kind. A gem!

This property is beautifully appointed, with great amenities and a wonderfully peaceful location. It's a great stay close to the Douro Valley and surrounding nature. João was a very responsive and welcoming host, we had a couple of very minor issues on arrival and they were resolved within an hour, exceptional service and hospitality! If you are looking for an authentic getaway in Portugal this property is a fantastic choice.
