Nice place with a large and fully equipped kitchen. Bedrooms are small as shown in photos but cozy and there’s plenty of room to spread out luggage in the living area. The views and surroundings are absolutely incredible.

The cottage was lovely and in a secluded location surrounded by bird-song and trees, just a short drive from Egilsstadir. The deck outside is expansive and would be great in warmer weather; as it is, the hot tub was terrific after a day of exploring, and for viewing the northern lights! The bedrooms are European-tiny without a lot of room for "stuff", but with only two of us, we were able to spread out a bit and it all worked out just fine. We very enjoyed our stay in this lovely family getaway.

Best host ever! This stay was one of the highlights of my journey. His dog Prada and the sheep farm equally lovely. Spectacular views, serene environment and lovely home. Makes me want to move to Iceland!

è stato bellissimo. La camera confortevole, letto comodissimo, lenzuola e piumone morbidissimi. Il personale sempre tanto gentile e disponibile. Ristorante e pub a pochi secondi dalla camera, con ottima birra. La spa semplice e deliziosa. Poter ammirare la notte dalle vasche ti acqua calda non ha prezzo. bravissimi!

Logement conforme aux photos, ceci dit nous recherchions le calme et la solitude, et nous avons été surpris en arrivant de voir une autre cabane à quelques mètres avec nos 2 salons se faisant face nous obligeant à fermer le rideau mitoyen pour avoir de l'intimité. Ça reste tout de même très calme, et mignon, parfait pour se reposer et observer des aurores si le temps le permet. La petite visite du chien de nos hôtes a aussi été agréable, aucune barrière de la langue pour ce petit toutou.

We had a great time and immediately felt like home. Bedrooms were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. It was nice to have the possibility to wash and dry our clothes. It was a nice location to discover the northeast, but it took us usually more than an hour to get to places we wanted to see. But in that circle there was plenty to look for in one week. We landed in Keyflavik around 2 pm and more or less 11 hours later we were in the flat, including waiting for our luggage, getting a car, grocery shopping and some breaks. The check in was very easy and didn’t depend on any time. And the water didn’t taste like sulphur. We had a great time!

Great place. Very spacious and lovingly furnished and decorated. Don’t be scared by the gravel path leading to the property. Once you get there, you will be rewarded with very serene surroundings outside, and a beautiful house inside.
