My family and I had an amazing experience in Kurunegala! The coconut plantation was a paradise for relaxation, and the host was outstanding. He provided us with excellent recommendations and was quick to respond to any questions I had during my family's stay. If you're looking for a tranquil forest experience surrounded by lush greenery, then this is the spot for you. The accommodations were comfortable and thoughtfully designed, blending seamlessly with the natural surroundings. Excited to return for my next trip to Sri Lanka, and will definitely come back for round 2 in Kurunegala.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Linwewa Villa in Sigiriya, and it was an unforgettable experience. The staff's warmth and friendliness made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. Each meal was a delightful journey into Sri Lankan cuisine, showcasing fresh, local ingredients that tantalized the taste buds. The villa's serene atmosphere, nestled amidst nature with stunning lake views, provided the perfect backdrop for relaxation. Wir hatten eines unserer besten Airbnb-Erlebnisse. Wir haben uns direkt wohl und wie zuhause gefühlt. Mahinda und Suneetha haben sich hervorragend um uns gekümmert. Mahinda ist mit uns los und hat uns die Umgebung nähergebracht, Suneetha hat hervorragendes Essen gekocht und es geschafft den Kindern Optionen zu geben, die sie mögen (was wirklich nicht einfach ist)! Die Unterkunft selbst ist blitzsauber und liegt absolut ruhig. Wir hatten eine kurze aber wunderbare Zeit! Vielen Dank!

Our stay at this charming hotel was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks to the incredible hospitality of the owner, Mrs. Sue. From the moment we arrived, she went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and happiness. Her warmth and genuine care made us feel like we were staying with family rather than at a hotel. Mrs. Sue took the time to show us how to prepare the most delicious curries, adding a personal touch to our experience. When I injured my ankle, she immediately arranged a visit to the village doctor, ensuring I was well taken care of. Her thoughtfulness didn’t stop there—she even drove us to the airport at midnight, making our departure seamless and stress-free. Every detail of our stay was perfect, and we left feeling rejuvenated and deeply grateful. If you’re looking for a relaxing, heartfelt getaway, I cannot recommend Mrs. Sue’s place enough. It’s a hidden gem where hospitality and kindness truly shine. We’ll cherish the memories forever and hope to return one day.

Mijn verblijf bij Ama Eco Lodge was prachtig. Daarnaast is Banda ontzettend gastvrij en denkt hij graag met je mee in de plannen. Het ontbijt en avondeten waren geweldig! Op de laatste avond heb ik de vuurvliegjes gezien, die hij samen met zijn dochter aan ons liet zien—een magische ervaring. Zijn dochter is enorm lief en betrokken. Ik heb enorm genoten van mijn verblijf! Dankjewel!

It's difficult to find words to explain how amazing our experience in Chamila's place was. We haven't been received as guests, we felt more like a part of the family. Chamila is very hospitable, polite and humble and she, together with the whole family, including Snowy and Scooby, made us feel welcomed, we learned a lot about Sri Lanka, we ate amazing food (!) prepared by her mother and Elena even had a chance to try on one of Chamila's beautiful saris. Not to mention that she helped us to arrange all the trips in the area (and there's much to see - Dambulla is exactly in the middle of the "cultural triangle") and that we received parting gifts which will make us remember the visit when we're back home (we would anyway!). I've been staying in hundreds of places over the years and this is definitely on my personal top three list. If you're reading this, stop looking for different accommodation. You've just found what you wanted and you will never forget this place afterwards.

Man ist wirklich mitten im Dschungel, die Straße zur Unterkunft ist mit einem Tuk tuk oder eigenem Auto nur schwer zu erreichen aber der Manager und sein Team holen einen im Dorf am Parkplatz ab. Abends wurden wir von der Frau bekocht, was jedesmal sehr lecker war, vegetarisch war auch kein Problem. Allerdings dran denken in Sri Lanka ist alles sehr scharf. 😉 Die Gastgeber sind mit am Gelände, also wenn man etwas braucht immer erreichbar. Wir hatten auch einen Fahrer der uns zum Lion Rock und zur Safari gefahren hat dort gewartet hat und uns wieder zurück gebracht hat. Mit der Kommunikation war es nicht immer so leicht aber es hat schon immer alles gut geklappt.

Coconut Escapes was everhthing we could have wished for and more🥥 We stayed for 2 nights in actual paradise The staff were amazing, so friendly, super helpful, went above and beyond. Food was phenomenal, tried a big variety of Sri Lankan food and I couldn't fault it, including the floating breakfast which was such a treat! Drinks were lovely including fresh coconuts Surrounded by nature, beautiful coconut farm and a nice and peaceful break. Went on a complimentary tractor ride which was fun and they offered plenty of other activities but after a long flight we opted to relax. Pool was fantastic, we were also delivered a surprise blow up flamingo which was a lovely treat. Cannot fault this place. If in doubt book it!

Casa muy bonita en plena naturaleza,con una piscina fantástica y muchas palmeras alrededores. La zona es muy tranquila, a unos 10 minutos en coche de la ciudad de Kurunegala.
