Beautiful property! We'd love to move in! I loved the open-air living concept that blended the living room right into that epic deck. Tip for travelers who aren't accustomed to coastal living - book a 2-night stay or check the tide schedule if you'd like to take advantage of paddle boards etc to play on the water, since the landscape and access to water (and your view from the property) changes as the tide goes in and out. Appreciated the great communication with our host and would love to stay for longer next time!

Loved staying here, cozy kiwi Bach. A 2 min walk from the beach. Arrived to a clean and peaceful space and had a wonderful time. Would definitely return.

When we arrive at the house, it has exceeded our expectations. It has everything we need for the stay. Very beautiful view of the whangamata bay. The golden hour was breathtaking and we really love this. It was a very nice to spend my birthday in Tania’s home. The whole house was very lovely and spacious. Minimalistic style but very modern. It can fit a whole group but really enjoyed it still with my two friends and my dog. The hot tub with the view has the cherry on top. Tania was responsive with all our queries. I cant explained further more the place. All we know is that we enjoy the house and all its perks in it. Very very much recommended for taupo staycation ❤️

Beautiful accommodation in a great location, with lots of great amenities (kayaks, hot tub, etc). Just need to take care on the driveway. Very steep - our SUVs could only get up with a run up.

We enjoyed our stay, can’t beat the location! We walked to the beach with boogie boards and had a blast! Rooms were a little warm at night, we had windows open at first but bugs were coming in (no screens), but there was an AC in the living room and fans in the rooms! Loved having washer and dryer!

This was a last minute plan and Robyn extended to us a very warm welcome and accommodated us very quickly. Her place is homely, cosy, safe and very accessible. A really nice short stay. Thank You

Rob’s place is wonderful. This was the best place we stayed during our time in Aotearoa/New Zealand. The home is lakefront. It’s so peaceful at all hours of the day, though the morning is stunning. Rob greeted us on arrival & made sure we knew the ins/outs of his home. The rooms are spacious, super clean, and beds were perfect (I slept very well). There are kayaks available if you want to get out on the lake. Kitchen is stocked with supplies. There was an abundance of supplies: towels/blankets/robes. The washer/dryer availability was much appreciated. Overall, it was a fantastic stay & I wish we had more time in the area to enjoy the property fully. Rob is great & I hope to be back again/will stay here.

Absolutely fell in love with the town. The most beautiful house in the most beautiful setting, incredibly kind and welcoming neighbours. All the facilities you would need. Incredibly kind host!

The most caring host I’ve ever dealt with on Airbnb, very understanding and kind, this will be the only place I’ll come back to stay at when I’m back with my family in Rotorua, next time my wife will do all the booking ;) lol

This is the second time we have stayed at the lake house in Lake Tarawera, We couldn't recommend it enough! Such an awesome spot if you have a boat or jetskis , If not they have kayaks you are welcome to use. Playground is about a 3-5 minute walk for the kids, Tennis Court is right at your door step. All the neighbors are very friendly and make you feel right at home. If your thinking about booking don't think about it just book it you will have an amazing time!

We had a wonderful stay and the space catered for all our needs. Tarawera is a magical spot, and this venue allowed us time together without WiFi and the busyness of city life. The reserve and swings, trampoline and bbq area were major bonuses. Thank you for opening this special space for us to use. We recommend for families who love nature and the beauty that Tarawera has to offer!

Great old school batch that felt very chill. Awesome to get to use the kayaks and lovely walks nearby. Added bonus was the toy box and the box of duplo which made the stay so much easier with the kids!

This has to be our best Airbnb experience yet and we’ve had some good ones. The cottage is everything we’d hoped for and more, beautifully presented and well equipped. A pleasure to stay in. Our hosts were just as lovely too!

Lovely spot for a couple day getaway!

We stayed for almost a week as a family of four. This is one of the best Airbnbs we have stayed in. The Pods were immaculate, exactly as described. The location is fantastic, the view is incredible, there is lots to see and do, and it is very peaceful. We jumped off the rock, went to the squeeze and the baths and stopped in for coffee at Orakei Korako. All magical locations. A short kayak to Paradise Hot Spring a hidden gem. Sherrie & Mark are wonderful hosts, and we will definitely be back.

A little slice of paradise for those seeking to unplug from the world (not literally as there's still wifi)! Our family of 5 loved staying at Cara's place. Well equipped kitchen (including a proper coffee machine), great shower pressure and the kids loved using the kayaks and jumping on the trampoline. The sunrise and moon rise from the deck is stunning. Just stock up before arrival (no shops in the village) and it's the perfect family holiday.

Greg’s and his place were absolutely amazing and the perfect place to get turned around after 30 hours of travelling. The gorgeous vista along the River and comfortable quiet and serene accommodations was great for all our needs. The hot tub was glorious and watching the sunsets and sunrises from the expansive deck was breathtaking!!! Our travel into Rotorua was a beautiful and easy drive from our accommodations. Our tour of the dairy farm with Angela and Joe was such a great extra pleasure and all of us enjoyed meeting both the managers and herd!!! We are so happy that our New Zealand experience started at Greg’s and we hope to return for a much longer stay in the future because it was a “piece of heaven!” Thank you Greg!!!

looking for peace & to switch off from the pressures of city life for a night or two then this is the place for you, Fantastic scenery, private & the option of 3 different rooms. you can hire all 3 and it would be an awesome get away for family or a group of friends. One of the rooms has its own bathroom and the other two shared facilities which were only a couple of meters away in the stockyard shed.All clean safe and great hot shower too! We had the best sleep ever! It is off the grid but the solar power was more than enough for basic power, lighting,charging devices etc.Cell phone reception is patchy but a few steps up to the barn and you well connected to the world again. (also being semi disconnected added to the charm of the place.) Bring all your own food & drinks + maybe a board game or 2 and really just enjoy the awesome spot without having to venture into town &relax. bonus is the use of a private boat ramp, we had our 2 jetskis and had an amazing time exporting the lake

This place is a true find❤️!!! While we have enjoyed our beach stays in New Zealand, this exceptional country accommodation is an absolute must for anyone traveling to NZ. There were 4 of us (my husband and I plus our 2 adult kids). The cabin was perfect for this trip AND on our next stay here we will book at their larger cabin. Both cabins are absolutely gorgeous and decorated beautifully. There are many gorgeous close hikes plus lots of drivable activities. We went to one of the Hobbit film locations (Hairy Feet Tours) just a 2 minute drive or 15 minute walk from our cabin. We have a stunning view of the rock cliffs from our place. I strongly suggest staying at this place as part of any trip to New Zealand. It's private, quiet, has an amazing host, and is totally first class. Simply a must!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Nice cabin, right by the sea, good facilities and comfortable. Easy to cook. Air con was much appreciated.
