Absolutely fantastic hosts. Gorgeous location, and a truly beautiful part of NZ. Visit the penguins in Oamaru , and head home after, for sundowners on the sun deck. The beautiful bays and beaches are walking distance; such a treat. Kakanui is a special place, and this is special house. A home from home. Thank you, Tania 🥰🫶.

Lovely cottage, in a quiet and tranquil location. Will definitely return!

Randall was a warm and friendly host. He, his wife and their son Dexter had a really helpful manual with suggested local activities and places to eat within Hawea and Wanaka. Randall provided a history of the yurt and detailed walk through of how to open/close windows and the ceiling plexiglass. They had homemade museli and milk available for breakfast. They also provided homemade bread (from flour made by nearby grown wheat, jam and eggs -all sustainably sourced on their property. Highly recommend staying at the yurt, ideally on a clear night when you can see stars mor easily!

Great stay in Ettrick before doing the Clutha Gold trail. Judy had the hot tub ready for us both nights of our stay which was amazing especially after a day out riding.

Jenny’s place was peaceful. She greeted us upon arrival and was friendly and welcoming. The outdoor spaces were beautiful and we loved seeing the highland cows. The location was great — close to town but just far enough away to feel remote.
