A fabulous stay of five days - made even better by a spell of great weather and wall to wall sunshine. Beautiful and varied beaches all nearby, from Waipu through to Te Arai. Accommodation layout perfect for family, children and grandparents allowing a bit of separation. Peaceful & private location. Well equipped. Lovely high ceiling living space with excellent indoor/outdoor area. Minor access issue caused by 3 year old swiftly fixed by Sarah with the minimum of fuss, for which we were very grateful.

Such a great house and in a great location! We loved everything about it. It was spacious, clean, and close to the beach. It was a perfect place to stay when in the Snells Beach area. Would have loved to stay longer if we could.

Lisa was so lovely, and we loved staying at her place. It was even better than the photos! An amazing kitchen for cooking, a pool, a spa, and spacious comfortable areas throughout made for the perfect getaway. Lisa was super friendly and helpful throughout, we would absolutely stay here again.

We had a great stay at this awesome home in Mangawhai. Estuary and shops in walking distance and the house had everything you needed and more. Two families got to share this home with ample space for us all. Beds were comfortable and the place was very clean and tidy. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back and stay again.

Beautiful spot in Mangawhai, views from the kitchen and lounge areas are amazing. The home was spotless and is the perfect venue for exploring everything that Mangawhai has to offer. Great value for money and I would definitely recommend.

Wow what a delightful little pocket of serene paradise. Coming from the city and fast lane of hustle and bustle this place was definitely a slice of heaven. Thank you so much Gordy and Carol. The communication was awesome. Unfortunately I didn’t get to meet you in person however your beautiful little retreat says it all about you both. Just a little side comment not that it mattered the internet wasn’t up due to previous ones who had played around with the settings. Yet the communication was on point. Would I stay there again? Of course I would and would recommend this to anyone🙌

If you are looking for waterfront , this location would be hard to beat in Mangawhai. On the estuary where you can swim in front of the unit. 5 minute walk to the surf beach and start of the Cliff walk. Amazing sunrise which is even better if you walk the 5 mins to the beach. The unit has very well maintained retro finishes that take you back in time. We were here in late March so it was very quiet and peaceful. Loved it.

Murray’s studio was next level,everything was perfect and the view was amazing. So much space and very well equipped I would highly recommend a stay at Murray and Patsys studio.

Lovely stay, highly recommend Lil's place. The location is awesome, so relaxing, comfortable bed, everything you need for a great stay is provided, love there is a full size fridge, BBQ, washing machine and dryer amongst other essentials. Lil is very helpful and there is plenty of information about walks, where to go and what to see. Being able to walk across the road to the water each day was a bonus and the views from the unit are forever changing as the tides come and go and the sun rises and sets. Some days there are cattle next door at the fence. I highly recommend staying and will return in the near future.

Perfect stay. A lovely apartment with views of the water- we ate dinner every evening sitting on the patio enjoying the bay. The apartment itself was clean and very comfortable. Robyn was so helpful with suggestions of things to do in the area and on our forward journey. Always responsive and kind. Loved the personal touches such as fresh flowers and cookies. Wish we had organized things to stay longer. Thank you Robyn!

Had a lovely stay here and the views are amazing as you have the choice of making dinner on the barbecue, and enjoy the restful and peaceful surroundings and el fresco dining:-) Easy to stroll down and walk along the beach also.

We had friends around the corner in Torbay. Browns Bay is bigger and only a short (steep) walk down. The Bark and Brew was our fave coffee place. I swam the bay every day. Safe beech. Spacious accommodation with a proper lounge and separate bedroom. Great bed. I think the telly is Sky but we never turned it on! Good wifi. Loads of stuff in the kitchen. It’s all just great!

I think this was a fairly priced accomodation with straight forward advice for easy enough entry. I’m very thankful for our visit

We loved our stay at Gay’s pool suite. The decorations were so charming, the gardens lush, the pool so fun right outside. And Gay made a bunch of garden games available to our kids which was awesome. Everything we needed was there. It was a lovely stay.

It was a lovely relaxing spot to spend a week in a rural setting with sea views out to the Poor Knights islands. A large property, accessed off a private road so very secluded and peaceful. Handy location half way between Matapouri Bay and Tutukaka, although you do need a car to go anywhere. Kitchen was very well equipped including basic supplies. Access to an indoor swimming pool, ability to charge the EV, and use of the laundry was a bonus. The hosts were very welcoming on arrival and explained the facilities and beach access path. Special touches were a bottle of wine and locally made nut brittle on arrival, and acknowledgement of our wedding anniversary which was during our stay. Annette and Bianca were super helpful and responded promptly to any questions.

We had a wonderful 3 days stay at Vicki's house. Spotlessly clean, comfy bed and lounge. Kitchen had everything you need. Vicki was great to deal with, so lovely and helpful. awesome views, very private. Would highly recommended Vicki's place. Kind Regards Mike and Shaz WA

We loved staying here! We were able to communicate with the hosts with ease. The Airbnb is within walking distance of restaurants, grocery stores and everything in between. Irene is really accomodating and had come down to check on us to see if we needed anything which was nice. The facilities were great. Personally, the pictures don’t do the property justice! We were pleasantly surprised at how spacious and homely it was. Most definitely would stay here again if I’m in the area next time😊

My mum lives in Ruakaka so Tony and Nora’s is a great spot for us to stay. Comfy bed, good shower, very private and great views. If you are couple we highly recommend this place.
