Highly recommend John's place. Perfect location - could walk to beach and get to other areas quickly. John was an excellent host. There to answer any questions, wasn't intrusive, and made a mean cup of coffee. Having the coffee shop next door was a HUGE perk! Place was spotless upon arrival and check in was seamless. I was pleasantly surprised that the place was larger than I expected. The primary suite had a a bonus seating area that I don't believe I saw in the photos as well as a small room on the first floor that had a daybed. We will surely be a repeat customer.

You cannot beat this location!! With the beach directly across the street, two great restaurants within a few steps, and only 10 minutes drive into Camden, this is the perfect vacation destination! We could not have asked for a better place to relax and have some fun adventures in Camden Hills and Islesboro. The house was very clean and comfortable with all the amenities we could have wanted. We ended up eating out for almost every meal (so many great restaurants in the area!), but the kitchen was very well stocked to make meals in. Brendon and Krista were very quick and proactive with communication and sending check-in instructions. Thanks for such a great stay!!

We had a great and pleasant stay! Everyone was so friendly, especially Zeke the dog!! My son loved him! The sunset on the lake was magnificent! Beds were very comfy, and kitchen was great with everything you'd need. High-speed internet with Roku TV!! Felt like home! Robert, and his family were great hosts!! Thank you

Very lucky to have found this place. Frozen lake covered with lots of snow followed by a snow storm was just the absolute perfect setting for such a wonderful cabin. Very comfortable, warm, and clean. The bed was supremely comfortable with just the most amazing views overlooking the snow-covered lake. A short drive and plenty of walks, restaurants, and grocery stores. A day trip to Black Mountain of Maine for some walks, views, and watching skiers. Out of this world. What made the whole thing so much better was how wonderful Kathleen was in her flexibility for check-in/out, travel information, and local information. Just a big, big wow!!! Thank you.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely house. It was so comfortable and had everything we needed for our vacation. The location is peaceful and beautiful. Our host was very responsive and had so much helpful information written down for guests. I highly recommend this house for anyone traveling to the Belfast area. We loved it!

Overall, Deb's place is very nice and served well as a home away from home. It was the best Airbnb that I've ever rented. The neighborhood is quiet and the road that runs by the house has little traffic (it's a dead-end). The kitchen was well stocked with appliances. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious. It takes 10 min to get to downtown Camden. On the downside, the furnace had just broken before we got there and so it got a little cool. Further, we could not get the jacuzzi to work and the flooring is a little beat up. But, the positives drastically outweighed the negatives.

We've been coming to this cabin every year and it's always the perfect peaceful getaway!

My wife, pup, and I had the pleasure of staying at this property while on a leaf peeping road trip throughout New England. If you're looking for a brand new luxury accommodation, this place might not be for you, nor do I think it is advertised as such. But, if you are looking for a clean, comfortable cottage in a stunning setting literally feet from the water's edge, I'm sure you'll love this place as we did. Our only regret is that we couldn't have stayed longer to enjoy the property as we had sort of an aggressive travel schedule. Host was responsive and pleasant. Highly recommend this property.

Dan's cottage provided everything that the three of us needed for our weekend stay. We enjoyed a walk on the nearby beach, and were able to explore the city of Belfast, which is charming and artsy. If we'd had more time we would have checked out more restaurants, galleries, and shops. There was a great food co-op in town where we picked up meals and snacks for cozy dinners and board games at the cottage. The beds were comfy, the place was clean, and it was about a one hour drive to Acadia National Park where we spent most of our time while we were in Maine.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Carriage House, and it truly exceeded our expectations. It felt like staying at a Four Seasons. Lyndsey, the host, was exceptional—her communication was clear and proactive, and she made us feel incredibly welcome throughout our visit. We were in the area to visit family for the holidays, and unfortunately, a messy snowstorm hit during our stay. Not only did Lyndsey reach out in advance to share the challenging driving conditions, but she also made sure the narrow, quarter-mile driveway was plowed, allowing us to safely return that night. As for the Carriage House itself, the photos don’t do it justice. It looks brand new, beautifully appointed, and tastefully decorated. The space is cozy, comfortable, and feels like a true home away from home. There's a short path leading down to a secluded strip of beach by the bay—a perfect, peaceful spot to sit and take in the stunning views. It’s a serene and magical place to unwind. Overall a 5 star stay

The house is stunning. I stayed here for a work trip. The location and the ambience were perfect to get my work done. I wish I had more time to explore the beach area. But my booking coincided with a lovely snow fall. The house is very cozy. The hosts were very responsive to all of my questions. The interior decor is lovely. And I slept really well on the master bedroom bed. I’d love to know the brand the mattress is. Thank you so much. I look forward to returning on a leisure trip when the weather is warmer. But the snow is absolutely lovely.

I've stayed in over 50 Airbnb's, and this one is the best. If you're a house geek and like architecture and fine craftsmanship, you'll love staying here: the attention to detail is incredible. The entire house was designed to watch the sunrise out of the ocean, visible from any room. Whoever designed and built the fireplace is an expert - it throws heat like a woodstove, and the flue works better than any I've experienced. The house is immaculately clean and was perfect for our family of five. We usually skip this part of Maine and head straight to the Acadia area, but you don't have to because Camden and Rockport have everything you need, while the beaches and harbors are just as beautiful. Tobias was an excellent communicator, and we felt very well taken care of the whole time. 5 stars on all.

We absolutely loved staying this beautiful, cozy house right by the water. In the morning I’d wake up and watch the sunrise over the water from the living room - so peaceful and beautiful. Perfect location - we could walk down to the river trail or into town in a matter of minutes (even during a snowstorm, which we had during g out trip, ha). We loved the house itself. The bed was insanely comfortable! We slept better than at home and we had everything we needed. We loved looking over the photos of Kerri and family’s world travels (I especially appreciated the picture from Egypt - my home for five years! ❤️). Kerri was super responsive and kind and gave us all the info we needed, answering questions in a matter of minutes. We felt very lucky we found this - the perfect spot for our Belfast stay. I highly recommend and if possible will absolutely stay here again the next time I visit my family in the area. 10/10

This is a little slice of paradise. I came here to do nothing, essentially--read & swim for a few days in beautiful, quiet surroundings. Diane was immediately welcoming with a warm greeting and quick tour. You have privacy here, but if you need anything, she is right next door. I couldn't recommend staying here more highly! We totally enjoyed our stay. In need of peace and relaxation, we found this cottage exceeded our expectations. Perfect for two people - the hosts provided for everything we would need. The cottage was spotless with a lovely view of Penobscot Bay. The hammock and chairs outside were a great spot for sunrise and sunset views. We even saw 2 bald eagles one morning on the tree next to the chairs. Belfast is convenient for dinners, Sears Island is close by and fun to explore. An extra treat was the observatory bridge and Fort Knox. Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor are an hour away. If you like to hike it is well worth the trip (even if you don't hike it is worth seeing).

A very peaceful escape off the main roads! Well kept with great places nearby for coffee and food. Centrally located for enjoyable and scenic drives to places like Acadia, Bar Harbor, Camden, Portland, etc. The space was clean with easy instructions. We were lucky enough to meet Lucy and John and it was a pleasure. Check out their trail to the beach!

The pictures don’t do it justice! Absolutely incredible home with gorgeous views of the ocean from practically every room. William was friendly and responded quickly to messages. Our favorite part was the hot tub! We 100% plan on visiting again!

We truly loved our stay! The house was charmingly historic but also well maintained and modernized where it mattered. We loved the coziness of the small town but were still able to easily drive to other destinations throughout our week. We highly recommend!!

The house was exactly as described and then some! Beautiful!! Love the area: walkable, gorgeous sunrises and spectacular views. The snacks and suggestions left for us was very thoughtful and helpful. Love the dual water dispenser in the fridge!

Maura’s home is the epitome of a Maine beach house. You have panoramic water views and can walk right down to the rocky shore from the huge lawn. We roasted s’mores in the fire pit outside and lit a fire in the indoor stove when it was cold one night. Fully stocked kitchen and lots of supplies. We enjoyed Belfast as a day trip. Larger families should note that 2 bathrooms are in the basement and one is on the main floor. That worked for us, but if you have any elderly or disabled, it might not be ideal. Great, serene spot.
