This beautiful Oakland Oasis was better than I imagined it would be! This place exceeded my expectations! Coming through the gate the first night, to a path of twinkling lights leading us to our adorable cabin took my breath away! It was the perfect location for peace and quiet right in the middle of Oakland. My only regret is that I didn’t spend more time on the property. We flew in from out of state to visit friends and spent a lot of time out and about. I definitely want to come back to spend more time hanging out in the backyard with the goats and chickens. My 13-year-old loved the backyard, the trampoline and the animals. The location was very walkable and within several blocks of many restaurants and shops. We rented a car and street parking was easily accessible. Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park was only an 8 minute drive away and we spent most mornings walking through the mountains enjoying the beautiful trees and views of San Francisco. Highly recommend this listing!

Needed a place for a few days… and fell in LOVE with this hidden gem!!! Amazing hosts- Lori& Mike are the best! They are friendly , helpful and inviting- while simultaneously giving privacy and space. Not to mention all of the amazing work they are doing in and for the community- check out their bio!! The accommodations were beautiful, peaceful and intentional. And CLEAN!! Every space well curated. Home felt like a hug- and was filled with treasures! Looking forward to a return trip!! I can’t say enough good things about Rosa & Syd’s place. If you’re looking for a serene, private, clean, quiet, and beautifully appointed place to stay, this is it. Lots of thoughtful details, ideal location with lots to do and eat nearby, and super easy check in and checkout. My favorite part, though, was how wonderfully kind and welcoming Rosa & Syd are. I look forward to returning!

I had such a lovely stay at Maria's cottage! Comfortable bed, loads of towels, coffee, and sparkling waters combined with gorgeous views made for a special couple of days. As other reviews have mentioned, you can tell that Maria has a love of hosting, which shows up in the sweet touches and great organization of the space, as well as her kind communication. I will return to this property, especially as it is priced so well!

This was a perfect place to decompress during a busy work trip. The space is beautiful, and the attached gym is such a nice treat! Everything was exactly as described, clean and lovely. I would definitely stay again!

We enjoyed our stay at Barbara's charming Backyard Beach House for the third time, and felt at home there. We find it restful to stay in this quiet neighborhood. It's always nice to communicate with Barbara and Ken, as they are readily available if we have questions or requests. We consider this house a gem of a find. Thank you again Barbara and Ken for contributing to our lovely vacation.

I rented Polina’s place for my daughter and toddler grandson during their visit to the area because my husband and I did not have room for them to stay with us. It was an excellent choice - a lovely well maintained unit on the grounds of Polina and her family’s home in the hills above Walnut Creek. Very peaceful area, yet close to downtown and transportation options. Polina was so kind and helpful, the unit has everything one would need for a short stay in the area. Highly recommended and a good value for the area.

Oh what a hidden gem this place is! I walked in and immediately felt at home thanks to its natural charm as well as the host’s thoughtful touches. The space itself is filled with natural light and very conveniently located. I had rented a car and had no issue at all with unloading/finding street parking. Plus there’s a sweet waterfall super close by and it’s very quick drive to Muir Woods and Stinson beach. It’s one of those homes that can you can tell was designed thoughtfully - I’m a sucker for high quality appliances. The kitchen is lovely. I was so happy to get to cook meals on my trip and feel a bit of the grounding energy of a farm while being in a town/not too far from SF. 10/10 highly recommend!

Rifat’s home was as advertised and she is a lovely host! Perfect set up for being productive, creative or just relaxing. Enjoyed coffee on the expansive patio in the morning and wine in the evening. A great spot to think and enjoy the scenery. Also plenty of great hikes nearby. Check out the local farmers market on Sundays. A fantastic stay!

I enjoyed my stay at Mary Lee and David’s place. It was perfectly located for my purposes, affording easy access to both the East Bay and Marin. The place is well appointed and clean, the entry through the backyard pretty, and the neighborhood charming. They were great hosts - available, but not hovering, their communication clear and timely.

Very cute and quiet place in a great location . The place felt clean and homey . It was great for the time I needed it for. 10/10 recommend staying here !

It’s a very private abode even though you share a gated entrance with the owner. Barry couldn’t have been friendlier and had a great spirt about him. We nerded out on landscaping, tiny homes, and rivers. He sold me on giving the American River some of my time this year. I’d absolutely stay here again. The only real issue was the effort to climb down a ladder half awake. I did it in the dark so I wouldn’t lose my cat eyes and wake up too fast. There’s plenty of outside lounging areas and the views are pretty. I had a decent view of the night sky to the east and above. The town may be busy but you’re perched hillside under some great live oaks. The neighborhood was full of quiet families and quirky houses that are truly Marin County in nature. Open space trails are just uphill and the town is just down. It’s very convenient to everything.

Skavik's cottage, in their beautiful backyard was just wonderful! The space was just right for us. We normally don't stay in studios, but the way this was laid out worked out really well for us. He and his wife were always so accommodating and so kind. We had a medical issue, and they were so good about checking in with us to make sure we were doing okay. We felt very comfortable there and they have done just such a nice job with decor + with the outside spaces and garden!

This is an absolute hidden gem. It quickly became apparent why Carolyn is a super host. Not only is the property absolute perfection but Carolyn made it a point to go out of her way to welcome us, accommodate us, and go above and beyond customer service wise. This property radiates harmonious zen like energy from the community library, to its amenities and all its extra additives, to the garden. It’s graced with every bit of detail for guests to enjoy. I’ve loved traveling and have mostly been a hotel snob, until now. In short, Carolyn has carefully crafted a beautiful get away and decided to share it with the world. We will certainly be back when in town.

This is our fourth stay at Creole Place. Both Susan and her husband Gerald are very accommodating, kind, and responsive in every way without ever interfering in any way. The quiet location is easily accessed plus it is a quick walk to Safeway, CVS, and shops and restaurants at Red Hill Shopping Center. Our grandson has stayed with us and loves visiting. There is a beautiful very large screen TV with multiple kid friendly programs. A park with a ball diamond and playground, and a nice hill for exploration are both close by. Nice restaurants close by, but I really also enjoy cooking in the lovely kitchen. We celebrated Christmas** here with our family, and have made reservations to return to Creole Cottage in late April. **We were not able to find Christmas wrapping paper (last minute gifts) and the stores were SOLD OUT. I ran into Susan and mentioned going back to get bags when I really wanted/needed paper. She was there in 5 minutes with her wrapping paper.♥️

My partner and I absolutely loved Sarah's place. It was super peaceful and relaxing being surrounded by the beautiful trees and hearing the sound of birds and the nearby creek. As soon as you walk in, you can tell Sarah puts alot of love and care to ensure anyone staying there feels comfortable. We really appreciated that and look forward to booking her place again when we need a relaxing retreat to rest and reset.

Helen's place is roomy with a well-equipped kitchen and a nice bathroom. The dishwasher and washer/dryer provided added convenience. The location is just off busy Woodside Road with a Safeway market about 5 minutes away on foot.

First let me start by saying the pictures posted are exactly as the place! It’s street parking but felt safe as a residential neighborhood with plenty of parking. Kananu was very respectful & responsive within minutes if not seconds! Kananu’s place has everything you need to feel right at home. The host gave nice recommendations for what’s in the area for dining, fun activities for all ages & shopping. We had a small issue with the water heater making nose and she was able to get the issue resolved quickly without interfering with our stay. I would definitely recommend Kananu’s place to anyone traveling to the area and definitely will be back for another stay! Her place definitely makes you feel like you’re in your own home.

A quiet and comfortable spot. Unlimited things to do with its proximity to the grand/lakeshore district. I love the view from the backyard and have had a great peaceful stay everytime I’ve booked. Would highly recommend!

This is a very nice place, an ADU, exactly as advertised. I would be happy to stay there again; I lived there for 10 weeks. The furnishings are similar to the quality one would put in one’s own home. I especially appreciated the fully equipped kitchen with all the spices and appropriate equipment. Hosts Elie and Syma were very friendly. Elie lent me his tools to put fenders on a used bike I bought. Syma gave me a broiler pan. The neighborhood is very nice. The place is a 12 minute bike ride from the Stanford Oval, and a 12-20 minute car ride, depending on traffic. Just excellent.

This perfectly-appointed cabin in the sky was the ideal escape “between the years.” It rained every day of our stay but that did not stop us from walking down to the beach, grabbing a bite at Parkside Cafe, and exploring every hiking trail in walking distance. (Highly recommend the Dipsea trail to Steep Ravine with a side bar to the Stinson Tree.) Carey really thought of everything: not only was the bed comfy and the place spotlessly clean, the kitchen was well-equipped (cream for the coffee!) as was the bathroom (thick towels!) We especially appreciated the clear instructions for operating windows and other things. It was our best Airbnb experience to date and we can’t wait to come back.

Jim’s place is located in a quiet neighborhood but easy to get to town. The bed is super comfortable. It is also nice to have the kitchen and dining area separate from the bedroom. Highly recommended!

Truly the best Airbnb we’ve stayed in. Kindest hosts. Beautiful, lovingly cared-for and crafted accommodations. Perfectly appointed. What a rare find. Truly. Close to everything north bay has to offer. We will be back!
