We had a very nice stay in this home. It was very convenient to the interstate, hospital and many restaurants. It was in a quiet neighborhood. Everything was clean and comfortable, as pictured online. The kitchen had lots of amenities and was ready with everything for your morning coffee. We even enjoyed playing Monopoly one night. We were only disappointed that the master bath did not have a traditional shower. (There was however a beautiful jacuzzi tub and hand held nozzle.). There was a shower/tub upstairs. Debra was a very friendly and responsive host.

We loved the house and the amenities. The kids loved the pool and the lake. Host was very nice and offered a list of places to eat and things to do during our stay. Would definitely return and recommend.

We really enjoyed having our family gathering here. It’s spacious, comfortable, and pretty well provisioned. The game room was a big hit, as was the hot tub, particularly after several (younger) family members did a “polar plunge” twice. As the father of the crew, I enjoyed a scenic kayak tour of the lake with my wife. The lake views from the property are pretty special too.

We stayed for a quick weekend (volleyball tournament in Rocky Mount) and we were blown away by this property. Fun outdoor entertaining space was definitely the highlight, but the movie theater setup and stocked bedrooms + bathrooms were also impressive. The host is very responsive and communicative. We will be back!

My family and I enjoyed this time away to reconnect, visit family nearby and enjoy nature. It was a brief stay but was exactly the type of peace I needed. The sunrise is absolutely beautiful and will remain my memory of peace for along time. I will absolutely come back again (but it would be nice if they allowed dogs).

We rented the house for a funeral where we could all gather afterwards and be nearby family. It was the perfect place. We felt right at home and plenty of space to spread out but still all be together. We are already talking about going back this summer.

What a peaceful and relaxing setting . The place was exceptional clean and had all the convenience one needs for a relaxing time on the lake. Todd was a wonderful host easy to communicate with and quick response to one’s questions or issues.

The charm of a lake house in winter is something else. Everything is extremely peaceful and quiet. Walking down to the water with a cup of hot coffee to watch the gulls dive out of the sky is a great way to spend half an hour to rest the mind. This house is perfectly situated, at the end of a strip of land that reaches out and dip into the water. We were there in the second half of December, and the sun rises and sun sets are at the far ends of the horizon, making for spectacular views. The house itself has very cozy construction, with plenty of space and beds for a large family. The updates to the home are done very logically and makes for very comfortable spaces. Everyone can find a corner to curl up and relax. Everything was also very clean and tidy. Brian was a joy to communicate with, with a constant stream of reminders, suggestions, and reassurances. Our requests were accommodated and everything worked out really well for our weekend at this lake house.

Great access to the lake. Very serene in the evenings and mornings. I caught and landed a 101 lb blu catfish right from the dock. Not quite the state record, but close.

Stayed at The Goose for Labor Day weekend. There were a total of 8 of us. Plenty of room to spread out and enjoy ourselves! The house was immaculate with everything you would possibly need! Lots of outdoor items included to use and enjoy! They definitely went above and beyond to provide for their renters! Would definitely recommend The Goose for anyone wanting an incredible place to stay at Lake Gaston!!

I want to start by saying that this place is incredible! It was beautiful, very comfortable, and had a home-like atmosphere. The lake view is breathtaking! The space was spacious and well-equipped. The hot tub was a lot of fun for the kids and our family. I also want to thank the host for being amazing and accommodating to my family! This marks the beginning of a tradition for us, and we truly appreciate it!

The house is incredibly spacious— even more so than the pictures show! It was super clean, well stocked, and was the perfect place for us to ring in the new year! The view of the lake is stunning, and there is plenty of seating outside to enjoy the scenery. Sarah gave us GREAT local recommendations for coffee, restaurants, breweries, and a bakery— and we could not get enough of the local businesses in Lake Gaston! Would absolutely recommend this house to others and would love to come back!

We enjoyed our stay at Donna’s. The vibe has a nice chalet feel but instead of the mountains we are on a lake. It was perfect for the time of year that we went. The sunrise over the lake is beautiful and the jetty was a nice place to just sit in the sunshine. We enjoyed using the fireplace and playing kickball on the large back lawn. We loved that they had bases for use. As for maintenance, there was an issue with the toilet but the host took care of it. We had a great weekend introducing our baby to his cousins. Thanks!

This was the ideal lake house for me and my family for our long weekend at Lake Gaston. The location is great with a lovely dock for lounging and enjoying the lake. house was clean and with amenities as advertised. if anything I would say the pictures fail to do justice regarding the size and overall quantity of the house. communication was clear and check in easy. I would gladly return.

Our stay was amazing. The yard was great for games and walking and the lakefront was amazing. The house was very nice and had everything we needed. Kitchen was very well stocked and I was amazed to find a food chopper and hand-held mixer. Location was great and close to shopping and dining. We enjoyed some much need R and R with our family and James place was the perfect fit.

What a beautiful, clean comfortable way to spend a week at a lake. The house layout is functional and perfect for our needs. There's a place to dock your boat and some wonderful toys to play with. Kayaks, floats and the best little surprise was a clean life vest and raft for the little one to claim. We've been looking purposely for a lake home to purchase. Staying at Dwight's has given us another option. Perhaps we'll just rent his house a few more times a year.

Awesome spot. Lake and cove views from both the screened porch and dock. Great setup for families. At this writing, there are two kids kayaks and a standup paddleboard, so bring a watercraft if you have other adults and want to explore around the waters. You can literally swim into the lake from the dock in about two minutes. Yes, WiFi is spotty (still managed to have the Olympics playing all day on the TV), but remember you’re on vacation and shouldn’t be on screens anyway.

This might be our favorite Airbnb! Our first time to Lake Gaston, but I don’t think it will be our last! We LOVED this space! So beautiful, perfect for our family, fun extras (the old school arcade and foosball table were a big hit!)! We just loved it! Joe was a great, helpful host!

Very peaceful, remote and spacious place. Bill had clear rules and checked on us daily. There was something to do for everyone on the property which makes things easier when traveling with kids. The ping pong table, nugget ice machine, and the upstairs game center were especially popular. Thank you for a great stay.

Me and some friends stayed here for a baby shower! We had the best time ever and everything was so nice and put together! Such a nice place and wonderful host hope to stay here again this summer

This home was perfect for our family. It was by far the nicest and most accommodating airbnb i have ever stayed at. It truly felt like we were at home. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we could imagine needing and the room setup was great for us. The boathouse and dock were also setup very well with the new bar/tv and sound system that followed throughout the whole property. It was great for bringing our own boat with the large bumpers installed on the side of the dock. Lindsay was extremely responsive and helpful with everything we had questions about. We all enjoyed our stay here and hope to be back soon!
