Julie is an outstanding host! This house is perfect for any getaway. It was clean, spacious, well equipped, comfortable, and STUNNING outdoor area with a gorgeous pool. This is 3 FULL baths and 1/2 bath!! Two kitchens! Two family rooms! You had space! It made you want to relax! The kitchen was well stocked with any utensil or appliance you would need. It was private. You could really escape and get away. Woodbury and the surrounding towns were jampacked with things to do. There were many places to choose from to eat. Such a variety from steak, seafood, pizza, and American fare pubs and other specialty restaurants. Lots of variety/antique shops, flea market, wine/liquor stores, convenience stores. Just a short drive into Southbury you find more shops, antiques, restaurants, bigger, grocery store, etc. We also drove to a few other neighboring towns. All under 45 minutes. Friendly people! We had a wonderful time! Price is fabulous, house/outdoor area is A+ value! Thank you Julie!!

I absolutely enjoyed my weekend here. The home is beautiful. Everything you could possibly need was provided In the home. Everything was clean, and neat. House is filled with light. The pool and hot tub were enjoyable. The host were amazing and had great communication, assisted us when needed right away. I would highly recommend staying here, and they are pet friendly which is always a plus for me. The yard is fenced in. Which made it easy to let the dog out, and great for the dog to explore. A++++ Will probably be back sometime In the future.

My group loved our stay at Alan and Cara’s place for the Sheep & Wool festival. Great space for a large group; we especially loved how comfortable the living room couches were and how there was space for everyone there to gather. The place was immaculately clean. We’d love to come back again!

This was our second time back to the pool house and it was amazing, again. We thinks of everything to make you feel welcome. Milk and eggs in the fridge. Muffins and croissants waiting for you. Pristine home. Fully stocked kitchen. I was even able to host a few family members for Christmas dinner and had everything I needed to make a lovely dinner. We also travel with two dogs and Sue is so accommodating, making our pups feel right at home. Thank you, Sue, for making our holidays away from home so peaceful and enjoyable.

We had an amazing time at Marybeth’s suite—it truly felt like a winter wonderland. Our kids had a blast "swimming" in the snow and "rolling" over the gentle hills. Every moment was filled with joy, whether we were relaxing in the sunroom, playing in the snow, or swinging outside. The time spent together as a family, along with our conversations with Marybeth and her family, was truly precious. We can’t wait to return in the summer!

Great house and great host. The place was beautiful -- big kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, great bathrooms (especially in the master bedroom), nice setup outside (jacuzzi and BBQ), etc. Perfect place for a family weekend in Litchfield. Location was perfect -- a 2 minute drive to great coffee, pastries, bread, ice cream, etc. in Bantam. Liz was an excellent host -- very helpful and responsive. We'd love to visit again soon.

An amazing location when you want to get slightly off the grid for peace and tranquility. Everything you need to truly slow down, dial out and get peace, quiet and rest. An amazing spot for a weekend getaway. If you want to find yourself amongst serene surroundings and a quiet, private wooded area, this is the place. Just enough modern amenities to be comfortable, but just basic enough to make you slow down. Tanner the host was the most responsive and helpful host of any of the airbnbs we've ever stayed. Truly went above and beyond at every turn to make our stay as comfortable as possible. More than accommodating with every request.

This was my second time saying at this location. It is always clean and exactly as described getting to the actual apartment is a bit tricky but well worth it for the price and wonderful hosting. I absolutely recommend staying here. It is a great little getaway or a perfect spot to stay for your business trip

This place was a breath of fresh air. I've noticed a trend on AirBNB of rentals that are obviously flipped investment properties with no character and no evidence of life: this place is the opposite! Charming, comfortable, with hosts who actually know the area and live in the area. This is a great family option when visiting the surrounding Hudson Valley towns. I hope I can get back here soon!

My husband, dog, and I stayed at Melanie's place for 6 weeks while we were waiting to close on our new home. The house was incredible, very clean, and fully stocked with anything that you could need during your stay. The property was quiet and wonderful for our dog to enjoy her outside time. Melanie was very communicative during our stay - she had her cleaning crew come twice and was on top of any necessary snow removal while we were there. I can only imagine how beautiful it would be to stay there in the nicer months of the year! The location was fantastic as well, close to the main road but not too close that the noise of the cars would be bothersome. I would highly recommend anyone to stay at Melanie's place if they are coming to the area. Truly a home away from home!

This house was perfect for our girls’ weekend in Hudson! It was spacious, clean, and had so much character. The location was great—just a short 5-minute drive to Warren Street. We didn’t walk due to the cold weather but it was definitely close and convenient. Would definitely stay here again!

This place is priced just right - not expensive at all and still within short driving distance for destinations in the area. The hosts were extremely communicative during the stay. WiFi didn’t work for us, but per the description, it can run out towards the end of the billing cycle. There are a lot of “house rules” - nothing crazy or unwarranted - just information overload and made me nervous I’d forget to do something properly. You can tell this doesn’t appear to be a property for the sole purpose of listing it on Airbnb, so definitely feels lived in/loved. Also, the town was great about clearing the roads despite getting about 8 inches of snow.

A lovely house in a private location. Our kids loved the games, watching movies on the projector, and watching deer from the window. The kitchen was well equipped and everything was comfortable.

Whitney and Mark were fantastic hosts! Their home was absolutely stunning, especially with the beautiful holiday decorations. It was the perfect setting for our New Year's trip with friends and family. We especially appreciated the many local recommendations they provided - they helped us discover some hidden gems in the area. We highly recommend staying at their place!

Ilton's place was perfect to host a few out-of-town friends for a few days! There was a concert happening at Old Dutch Church; it was so convenient to walk to and then easy walk around Kingston in the morning. This house had every amenity listed. The sun room was our favorite spot to read and drink coffee in the morning. Ilton was super responsive and went above and beyond to ensure everything was working for us! Can't recommend this place enough :)

Great stay at Andrea's house in Canaan. House is very nicely renovated and appointed with plenty of room for a family gathering. Walking distance to restaurants in town, and really enjoyed the firepit. Would definitely stay again.

We have stayed at multiple Airbnb's and this one is absolutely incredible! The pictures do not do it justice - this place exceeded our expectations in every way! The most private peaceful property with the beautiful pond & woods for taking walks and the house is so spacious and rustic we loved it! We are pleasantly surprised to find the kitchen extremely well equipped for cooking all our meals with multiple pots, pans, utensils, serving dishes, trays and plenty of plates, silverware and mugs for our large group. There are plenty of books & games to keep you entertained, we didn't turn on the TV once! The place was impeccably clean and we absolutely loved the antique doors, lighting, art & furniture and the multiple bathrooms! Our kids loved the swings on the porch and by the barn, playing yard games and just exploring the surroundings. What an incredible retreat... we would stay here again without hesitation! We were imagining how beautiful the place would be in each season.

There were 5 of us, with another 6 staying in another nearby air bnb. We had Thanksgiving in our house and found everything we needed to cook. Seating was a bit challenging, but we made it work and it was very comfortable. The location is in the woods with lots of boulders and rocks, which we all loved. We found the place easily using GPS. Everyone’s bed was comfy. Close enough to what we wanted, just far enough away to make it an adventure. Because it was so cold and grey, we didn’t hike, but saw plenty of opportunities (maybe next time?!)

Very comfortable home in a lovely part of Sandy Hook. The beds and couches are very comfortable. Cozy pillows, quilts and throws to snuggle in. Huge kitchen that is very well equiped.

The 5 of us, plus a little dog thoroughly enjoyed our 4-night stay at this super spacious, clean, and well-stocked house. The house is within walking distance to the shops and restaurants in town. We’d definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a convenient and comfortable stay in the area!
