The house was exactly what a birthday girl trip needed. So quiet and peaceful, only heard the birds. House had exactly what we needed. So close to town but isolated enough in the mountains and woods. The road to get to the house is a gravel road and in the woods. Very thankful no snow or that would have been an issue. The dog loved the open area and woods to explore. The fire-pit would be a fantastic touch if it wasn’t so cold. But the hot tub made up for the cold. Town was close enough for shopping, eating, and supplies, but could have stayed at the house the whole time. So many games to enjoy. Please don’t miss the Roman baths!

This private mountainside retreat Home (gracious and thoughtfully appointed) was a first for me and my Girlfriend. My plan is to return here in the near future and enjoy this peaceful location again. If you're looking for a home away from home this it. Complete with remoteness, 4wd access in Any bad weather is a must.

Susan’s home was immaculate - the house was even more beautiful and more private than the pictures — truly a mountain escape! We had a little difficulty with the garage code upon arrival, but Susan was immediately available and helped us get right into the house. We were thrilled with the quiet privacy, beautiful mountain surroundings, and the gorgeous interior. We loved the ability to run the wood stove on the colder nights (it even snowed the first evening we were there), the hot tub overlooking a rocky outcrop, and the pool table downstairs. The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and more. Berkeley Springs was a little further than I initially anticipated, but getting there was an easy drive down a main road. Susan helped us with recommendations for things to do, since the weather didn’t cooperate with our original plans to hike. Be aware that the road to the house is a long mountain road and a little rough in the winter.

Fern Haven was an amazing stay! Spotless, cozy, & the upstairs suite is just wow! The hot tub worked & was so nice to relax in during the chilly evenings. Being on the deck & hearing the river flowing was the best! The path down to the river is steep, but stone steps & hand railings made it easy for us to get there. There are some large boulders along the water's edge that were perfect for sitting on and enjoying the scenery. The fluted rock formation just downriver was spectacular! We brought binoculars & had fun spotting the birds soaring around the area. Our favorites were the two Pileated Woodpeckers chasing each other around & playing. This would be a great float trip in the warmer seasons, & we definitely plan on returning to do that! We enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings, & the large yard area was great for setting up our yard games like cornhole toss. We only needed to reach out to the host Jim before arrival, but he was prompt in responses and friendly! We loved it here!!

This cabin was perfect for our needs. Our family ranged from 3 to 60 with 9 in our group and everyone felt right at home. Everything we needed was there. Kitchen very well stocked, lots of towels, pillows, blankets, games, movies, everything we had a need for was there. Cabin was clean and orderly. Instructions for everything and labels on everything. The host had contacted us prior to our arrival and made sure we didn’t have any questions and to assure us that they would be available to contact 24 hours a day if we had a need arise. We didn’t have to contact them because everything was in top order from check in to check out. We didn’t get to use the hot tub or grill but I feel sure they were in top order as well. We highly recommend Creekside Cabin and Berkeley Springs host as well and when we return to the area both will be at the top of our list. Thanks for a great couple of days at your cabin.

This was a great place for a getaway. Private with a good amount of room for outdoor activities. There were things for us to do within close proximity. Everything was as described and we had a great time with no issues. Would stay again if we get the chance.

Dan’s home is like stepping into a home of history and adventure. There are many pieces to view of his endless journeys throughout the world. The home is situated on a high bluff overlooking the Potomac. The views are gorgeous and many birds can be seen and heard. The gardens and plantings around the house breathe life to the landscape. The home itself is updated with high end kitchen and baths. Master bedroom is spacious with an en-suite bath. 3 other bedrooms are very nice as well. Our stay was lovely and would recommend this home highly.

Kyle was a wonderful host and the home itself is absolutely magical. We spent 2 nights here as a family and had the time of our lives. Well worth the 1.5 hour drive from DCA airport!

We enjoyed William’s hospitality. The place was located in a beautiful secluded spot by the Potomac river. So relaxing watching the sun come out behind the mountain and reflecting on the river in the morning, and birds singing. Dogs had a blast too! In case the info is useful, the wifi connection was perfect for working remotely. Lots of beautiful hikes in the area. Thank you

Very nice cabin right on the Potomac river with river access for swimming, fishing, canoeing etc. Great amenities as listed. I will just say that the nearby train comes around more frequently than expected which can be loud/tough if you’re traveling with your pup. Also, the zip line ends literally right behind the cabin which can be a bit noisy and awkward when attempting to sit/relax out in the back. Otherwise it has great proximity to nearby parks/trails/attractions and overall is a nice campsite.

This cabin is lovely. It is in a neighborhood, but it feels so private with beautiful views all around. There was plenty of space for our family. We thoroughly enjoyed relaxing by the fireplace, and playing games in the basement. It was a quick drive into Berkeley Springs where there are plenty of restaurants and cute shops to wander around in. Sarah was a delightful host that kept in touch with us throughout our visit if we needed anything. I highly recommend a visit!

We loved everything about Julie's listing. We enjoyed the historic structure, the artwork, all amenities and considerations for adults, children and pets. Julie was very responsive and very accommodating. We would definitely recommend this listing!

My husband, dog, and I had a great time! We stayed for two nights on the weekend. The place is definitely not easy to find on your own but Tara gave great instructions! We did have a truck, so it was easier to navigate up the hill in the snow, but for others, I would keep that in mind. The house was exceptionally clean and well stocked. The kitchen had everything you'd want, a hot pot stove, coffee machine, coffee, and a toaster oven. And the bed was really comfortable. 12 minute drive into Harper's Ferry, and walking distance to the closest C&O trail. Would definitely stay here again!

This is our favorite AirBNB experience. We have been here twice now. The place is in the PERFECT location. Close to everything, and walkable to shops, food, hikes. Jill is so nice and responsive. The place has lots of charm, and is comfortable for groups of up to 8 (we had 4 adults and 4 kids). We will definitely be back! ~PS- If you are a train buff like me, you will love watching the trains go by from the windows and back deck. Also, lots of cool and rare train books.

What a perfect location for a quiet personal retreat! Being able to walk in the woods by the creek right on the property was amazing. There was even a hammock a ways down the path in the middle of the trees! Heavenly.

This place was just what I was looking for. Quiet place to relax, good place to hike and fitness center and courts. Cabin was just as advertised cozy and well kept. Everything you need for a weekend stay.

Beautiful location and great cottage for our group. Lots of bedrooms, living space, and large kitchen. Plenty of bathrooms! Beautifully clean, well stocked, hosts were super!

We had such a wonderful stay at the Hawk's Nest! The setting was so relaxing - I didn't want to leave. Everything was very clean and the space was really cozy and calming. The location and view from the porch was beautiful. Janel had great communication, was a wonderful host, and check in was easy. There were a lot of really nice touches - like snacks and a bath bomb - that made for an extra special stay. I look forward to returning!

A very nice area to see fall colors, out of the way but easy to reach a store for anything needed

Very comfortable home. Well laid out for many to enjoy together but still have private time. Kitchen exceptionally equipped.

Had a great family weekend at the Healing House. House was great, kitchen very well stocked. Loved the open feel on the main floor. Would stay here again.
