We enjoyed our stay at Ashleys's home. It is a beautiful, peaceful and lovely location, with great proximity to Acadia National Park, Winter Harbor and the Schoodic Institute. Our family enjoyed watching the lobster boats in the morning and noodling around the peninsula. It was a very comfortable space, with a well stocked kitchen and dining area.

Amazing stay! Highly recommend!” We had an incredible experience at Bear Mountain Lodge. The entire home was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay to receive the new year . The location was perfect for a peaceful and relaxing weekend. Josh and Vianca were exceptionally friendly and responsive, providing everything  we needed to feel at home which made the trip even better. The decorations, the deck, the kids section, lake, mountain, and location really made it feel like home away from home. If you’re looking for a cozy, relaxing place with a great host, this is the place. I would absolutely stay here again!

Our stay was fantastic! The property offers breathtaking views, and the cabin’s quaint charm, along with the occasional critters, added to the rustic, nature-filled experience. Our dogs loved having plenty of space to explore. We especially enjoyed the screened-in porch, sipping coffee while watching the sunrise—it was the perfect way to start the day. The main house had everything we needed, and the kitchen was so well-stocked we barely needed anything from our trailer. The lobster pot was a highlight! However, the only downside was the furniture. Everything from the patio to the living room and beds was uncomfortable, making it hard to relax, especially after a few days.

Tina was a great host. Very responsive to questions. The cabin was beautiful and perfect for our group. We had a great time! I would definitely look to book with Tina again.

Marie was a pleasure to deal with. The place was fully stocked with kitchen and bathroom supplies which was nice considering some places leave little if any supplies. The beds were comfortable and clean. Bathrooms were also very clean. After our trip was over, Marie reached out to let me know we had left a few items behind. One of the items was a wedding ring that someone in our group lost. Marie was happy to mail our items back. We all can’t thank you enough for that. We all enjoyed our stay, and had a great time!!

Highly recommended! The house is clean and beautiful and the instructions are clear. James and Ellen prepared everything we might need and even prepared marshmallows for us. They were also super helpful when the wind was too strong and helped us to solve the problems. Would come back again if we have chance next time!

Patsy’s place is absolutely beautiful! The interior is so cute and so homey. I loved waking up and having my coffee on the dock. Incredibly peaceful and serene. The only thing I may suggest to bookers is try to arrive before the sun sets (at least the first time) because it gets very dark….but that makes for amazing stars! 10/10 loved this place!

gosh, could not glow more about just how gorgeous this stay was. Bajas cottage was everything and more than described. the property the land sits on is like its own peaceful site to see. we played on the grounds and walked to the water every day. chipman’s wharf had the most delicious lobster and very nice people. so happy we had our first whole lobster from them! a great recommendation. also the host pup pearl was absolutely adorable. we loved seeing her every day and our dog did tooo. a vacation for the whole family. such a peaceful place to honeymoon with such kind hosts. definitely would stay again.

Tugwassa was not like any other rental I have encountered. It truly felt that I was staying in my family's summer cottage. The books, artwork, evolved layout, furnishings and clever work arounds might feel cluttered or rustic to some people, but not me. Any item you might need was present, if you looked enough to find it. The queen bed had a super soft and cozy topper. The gas stove heat was lovely to watch. To shower inside the wrap around curtain might be dangerous for anyone with balance issues, but one can sit with the shower nozzle. I cooked many meals and had everything that was needed. The number of appliances was amazing. We used the sculpture trail brochure to guide much of our wandering, which was full of surprises. The night sky over the pond is so lovely and I saw the aurora too. Paddling on the pond was a real Maine experience. I saw loons, ducks, turkeys, deer and heard a beaver. This is a remarkable true camp experience, if you are ready for that. Anne is best host ever!

We loved our stay at the cottage! We are native Mainers and the Steuben/Milbridge area is one of our go-to locations for relaxation. The cottage was private, peaceful, and the views were amazing! Being right on the water was a nice perk and we spent some time on the rocks when the tide was out. The cottage has wonderfully comfortable furniture and one of the most comfortable beds we have slept on! It is also one of the cleanest cottages we have stayed in as well. It felt very much like home! Teresa was in contact throughout our stay to make sure everything was going smoothly. It was great to know she was there to answer any questions we may have had. We will definitely stay again!!!

Absolutely loved my stay here! If you’re looking for somewhere very rural, quiet and secluded, this is a perfect place. It’s fit for one or two people, it was so incredibly cute and whimsical, definitely the best place I’ve ever stayed!

This cabin is very nice and comfortable. The dock and view are so nice. Beautiful area.

Everything was wonderful! The house is comfortable and clean. The kitchen had everything I could want for cooking. I appreciated all the extra touches—like nice binoculars and a phone charging pad. The hosts are helpful, kind and welcoming. The view is stunning. There are a few houses on the road but you can’t see them from the cottage, just the magnificent cove. It’s so quiet I heard birds’ wings as they flew overhead. I saw pileated woodpeckers, northern flickers, greater yellowlegs, and many more. A doe came through the yard and an otter swam by. In the guestbook, some guests mentioned seeing seals. But the most awe-inspiring sight is the night sky. With no light pollution, the stars look endless. If you’re lucky, this is a great place to see the aurora borealis. It’s not visible in Maine often, but the deck has a North/Northeast view which is ideal. It didn’t appear while I was there but Jing-Huey sent me a beautiful photo from a few weeks before. Highly recommended!

This is our 2nd time to stay at this lovely oceanfront home! The location is beautiful and peaceful. The home is clean, well equipped and comfortable. We hope to return for a 3rd stay in the future!

This was a beautiful peaceful setting in a great location to access Acadia National Park. The cabin was very comfortable with everything we needed. Shasta was a terrific host and communicated in an extremely timely manner when we had questions. The swing out on the lake and the second floor outdoor deck were great to enjoy after getting back from a long day. The lake itself was pristine and had a gorgeous fall foliage backdrop. If nature is your thing, but with modern amenities, this is your place to stay.

Loved our stay at the cabin! The home was stocked with everything you need in the kitchen, has the most beautiful scenery to wake up to (we also were able to see the Northern Lights at night!) and while the bathroom is small, it was carefully thought through and functional. It is a bit of a drive to Acadia National Park and dining options, but we didn’t mind it with the lovely fall scenery along the way. The host was very responsive and friendly, we would definitely stay here again.

Abby's cottage was clean and fresh and in a beautiful location as described. Communication was prompt and clear throughout. Abby and her husband Brian were excellent hosts who exceeded our expectations.

Another great and peaceful stay at this little cottage. A great place to escape to. Will be back after it's winter break!!!

We loved every minute of our stay. The combination of rustic pragmatism and whimsey made this vacation spot idyllic. The outdoor lving spaces- deck with comfy furniture, grill, sink, jetboil, shower and bath were my favorite part. The design of the mini-house is spectacular. You'll find everything you need in the thoughtful layout of the cottage. Huge thanks to Terri for her excellent hosting. She was on top of sending us weather updates, local events/activities, etc. Cannot recommend this place strongly enough.

Trevanna was so easy to communicate with. She answered all my questions so I knew exactly what I needed and what to expect. Her home was warm and welcoming and the perfect location for out family weekend. I look forward to going back someday.

This is such a special place! The cabin is beautifully designed and the views are wonderful! David left perfect instructions as to how to live “off grid” and is quick with responses if needed. So much to explore durning any season- from mountains to coast! Hope to return- maybe during blueberry season!!
