Beautiful location, simple space with everything we needed.

Cute little rustic cabin with all the simple necessities you need. Very secluded, yet close enough to Machias for groceries, restaurants, shops, ect. Loved that we also had a private beach where our dogs could play. We had a great time and would absolutely come back again!

We really enjoyed our time at Ocean Spray Cottages. The area and property are absolutely beautiful. If you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing getaway this is that place. Cathy left us plenty of information from things to do, places to see, to local restaurants and the nearby grocery. The cottages make you feel at home and they are well stocked. The view alone is worth the cost.

This was our third time at Ocean Spray. The cabin was cozy, clean and as described in the listing. Cathy, the host, is friendly and is responsive. The location is peaceful and perfect for a quiet getaway and surrounded by nature. The sunsets are beautiful and The Milky Way Galaxy is visible on a clear night. Amazing spot in a beautiful location!

Just spent my birthday weekend on beautiful Downeast Maine and we had a chance to stay at Rich and Julie’s Dockhouse in Machiasport. Now I know how I’d want my dream home to look like. It’s small and cozy but the layout made it so spacious and seamless. I love love love the view of the ocean. There are neighbors around but it still is very private. The Dockhouse was right off the road, which was a pleasant surprise for me since it was sooo easy to find. But honestly the main sell are the hosts. Rich is a pro! He had planned itineraries which I found very helpful (would love to try going to the yurts next time!!) for all kinds of activities, weather, etc. I am still in awe at how they put their heart on this Airbnb. They gave us gift vouchers from stores in Machias, and a bottle of wine in one of the restaurants. That was really really nice. Rich even had contact numbers of where to get seafood + tours. Thank you for the hospitality and generosity, Rich and Julie! Best birthday ever!

It was so peaceful and beautiful here. You truly feel like you have the whole area to yourself - the beach is great for swimming and watching the sunset. We had a great time!

This is one of my most memorable, magical Airbnb stays. When my brother posted pictures from his trip a few years back, I knew I wanted to stay in the same place. The dome lived up to every bit of the hype in my head. It was so serene and rejuvenating, I found it hard to leave for day excursions. Sunrises and the night sky were breathtaking. The sea and pine smells were breathgiving. I can hardly wait to plan a return trip.

We loved every minute of our stay. The combination of rustic pragmatism and whimsey made this vacation spot idyllic. The outdoor lving spaces- deck with comfy furniture, grill, sink, jetboil, shower and bath were my favorite part. The design of the mini-house is spectacular. You'll find everything you need in the thoughtful layout of the cottage. Huge thanks to Terri for her excellent hosting. She was on top of sending us weather updates, local events/activities, etc. Cannot recommend this place strongly enough.

Beautiful location near everything but still remote. A perfect spot to have a peaceful breakfast before going out to explore the area. Perfect for biking/hiking.

The cabin is rustic, but it has everything you need for a pleasant and easy stay. The cabin was clean, the bed was very comfortable and warm, the bathroom has plenty of warm water. The heater was enough to keep the cabin warm. We travelled with our pet and she was very comfortable throughout the entire stay. The location is excellent! The farm is beautiful and has several trails to hike and enjoy the scenery. The area is quiet and peaceful, with plenty of fresh air. The cabin is about 10 minutes away from town, where there are plenty of good restaurants and friendly locals. It is also very close to the Roque Bluffs State Park. We had a very pleasant stay and Lisa was wonderful!

Cute and comfortable cabin. We had a nice stay, close to the events we were attending. There was convenient access for kayaking on the lake. Would definitely recommend.
