Our stay at this charming home was the perfect choice for our mini-vacation. We loved how we could stroll to a variety of scenic hiking trails, delightful shops, and local favorites that truly captured the essence of Damascus. The convenience of being able to walk everywhere added to the joy of our trip. I wholeheartedly recommend this spot to anyone looking to explore the area!

We absolutely loved this house! Had everything thing we needed and the fenced backyard was a plus! Very clean! Comfortable beds. We definitely want to come back and visit in the summer!

I was in the area for work and wanted to stay some place other than a motel. I saw this place and fell in love! It reminded me of home in Ky. I rented it for myself and my employees that traveled with me. We all loved it! Super clean! Very peaceful! The kitchen was fabulous! We will Definitely rent this again when we are in town for work!

Our stay started with a spotless house. Everything we needed was there. There was plenty of room to spread out or gather when we wanted. The beds were very comfortable to the delight of our hiking family. Close proximity to town made it the ideal location for hikers and bikers or explorers of Grayson Highlands State Park. Thank you to our hosts for welcoming us and making us feel at home.

John had the home well decorated for Christmas which made it fabulous for a Christmas gathering for us. It was about 20 minutes to the Barter Theatre where we saw a play. Lots of places to eat nearby but we dined at Rain in Abingdon near the theatre. This is an older house remodeled. It was comfortable for our one night stay. John was very accommodating and responsive during our stay. He is a great host

El sitio estuvo excelente para ir a descansar y desconectarse de la ciudad, relajarte en familia, la casa fue muy cómoda. Si tienes niños pequeños, disfrutaran mucho en el terreno que es bastante grande, puedes hacer parrilla y tienes varias atracciones cerca y adicional estas a 48 minutos de Boone. Melina tuvo una excelente asistencia en tiempo récord, una cuando no podíamos abrir la puerta, la llamamos y nos atendió al momento para abrir desde su locación y la otra fue con un breaker que se tripeo en panel, la respuesta fue inmediata. Realmente volveré a rentar el próximo año, Gracias Melina.

We enjoyed the time at this location. Was very clean and nice. The hosts were friendly and helpful. We were able to really rest and relax on porch in the evenings after a day of adventure. Overall great place and great time

We had a great and comfortable stay. I wish we could’ve stayed more than a night to enjoy the place more. We will stay again in the future and plan on staying longer to enjoy the hot tub and the amazing view. Jim is so nice and very friendly. This place is highly recommended.

Beautiful view !! Comfortable bed. Hot tub a big plus ! Jim was very helpful and had great recommendations for local hikes. I could literally see the snow moving in across the mountain. It was the perfect spot !

Highly recommend! This was our second stay at the Red Barn. It’s now our go to when visiting the area. Great hosts, great location, spotless, relaxing and peaceful area. It has the most comfortable bed ever and a wonderful outdoor covered patio. Besides biking the Creeper Trail, we drove 20 minutes to Bristol and biked the Mendota Trail. Also had a great meal at Wilson’s Cafe and Grill at Damascus.

Great location on Main Street in Abingdon, you can walk to a number of cafes and restaurants as well as local shops! Quiet residential location! We would recommend this place to everyone! 5 stars all around. Thank you, Mike & Susan

Great spot to rest on a long road trip! Chad’s place was cute, comfortable, very clean and had everything that I needed. Very clear instructions on how to operate the ac/heating unit and the TV. I would definitely stay here again!
