I needed a home away from home to base my cooking & baking help for Hurricane Helene recovery, and this cozy little cabin was just perfect. The setting and drive was beautiful, the neighborhood doggies were friendly, and the accommodations were comfortable and clean. My family joined me for the last few days of my nearly month-long stay, so it was tight for all of us, but definitely do-able. I appreciated the quick communication on my questions, and proactive care with an incoming winter storm. Would definitely stay again!

The drive in was a bit dodgy, very windy road! The location is very peaceful however and we found restaurants and attractions within a reasonable distance. Would definitely stay again.

I stayed here with my family of 4 and our dog. We absolutely loved the cabin! The location and aesthetic of it was exactly everything we were looking for. Arion & Wendy we’re very accommodating and responded back in a timely manner. The cabin is just how it looks! It’s a nice getaway from the city! We’d love to come here again for sure!

A nice small cabin that sleeps quite a bit if need be, lots of outdoor activities to do, whilst the area is still recovering from the floods earlier some places aren’t as easily accessible but not much you can do about Mother Nature. Loved the movie selections they have laid out reminded me of my childhood going to blockbuster and picking out a family movie to watch (we watched the LOTR trilogy) easily laid out instructions for everything in the cabin and would definitely stay again come lookin for the opportunity.

Wonderful stay! I enjoyed the seclusion so much I canceled some of my scheduled plans just to stay in and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The walking paths are marked very well and I took advantage walking several times during my stay. I am from the area and therefore I had no trouble following Scott’s directions, but I will confirm my GPS would have most definitely gotten me lost if I had just depended on it and not paid attention to the specific directions offered in my check-in email. The Grove was delightful and I recommend if you like a secluded and peaceful setting. Additionally, I have Comcast wifi and my service was much better than I anticipated. Cheers!

I chose this cabin specifically to celebrate my mother’s birthday, just one week to the day before the WNC floods. She was just awe struck the whole weekend and it couldn’t have been more perfect! Nestled beside a tranquil brook, this cozy cabin is the perfect retreat for those looking to unplug and unwind… or use as a home base as you see all the sights around it! Surrounded by lush greenery, it offers a serene escape with the soothing sound of running water that beckons you to relax. It has two patios overlooking the beautiful river below so you can sit and enjoy. The cabin's rustic charm is complemented by modern amenities, making it a seamless blend of comfort and nature. This hidden gem is a sanctuary of peace! The only con I can imagine is the master bathroom is very petite, but there is a second, larger bathroom.

We had a short stay on our trip to the coast, but will be back with out a doubt. The A frame is so cool and I loved the craftsmanship and little details they put in it. The area was quiet and so pretty, thank you for this beautiful experience!

We loved this place!

The airstream trailer was absolutely lovely. It was a little bit of a drive up a mountain to get there, but once there it was lovely and felt separate from the neighbors with privacy fences and well angled windows. The trailer itself was very clean and snug, with heated floors and blankets and a very efficient and cute set up. The hosts even set out a $5 gift card for a local bakery. We had a few minor issues with instructions for the stove and fans but Nicole was prompt with responses and thanked us for giving them info to help them make the process easier for future guests. The hot tub was perfect and easy to use with a great view of the stars! Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely book with Nicole again!

After settling home from our trip to sugar grove NC it is time to write a review. Our stay on the property was outstanding! It is the perfect remote location to relax and unwind whether you’re traveling solo, as a family or a couple. Our stay in the airstream was top notch with an immaculate view of the stars from the hot tub every night and plenty to do on the property during the day. We loved looking at the art throughout the woods and going on walks during the day and at dusk. As two childless adults we had a blast on the water slide and feeding the animals, as well as visiting the town of Boone for shopping and “trashcan falls” right up the road. The only pointer id give to the next guest is to bring a few tupperware containers if you decide to cook so that you can save what is leftover. Other than that the airstream was equipped with everything we needed and then some! I will highly recommend a stay on magic mountain and look forward to visiting again.

This was a perfect weekend getaway! The house was beautiful and clean. It was secluded yet close to everything. I do wish that the bed was better to sleep on but overall, we really enjoyed staying here.

We stayed at Corinne's place for a quick weekend trip. The drive up the mountain was cool and her place has an amazing view. The house is comfortable and well-appointed and we used the well-stocked kitchen to make our dinners. There are also several cool attractions that are close by, which ups the value. A great location. Overall, we had a great stay despite a powerful storm rolling through one night. Be prepared for the wind up there!

Such a neat campsite! We ended up not being able to stay overnight due to storms, but if we hadn't had our toddler with us we would have been fine to stay. We were still able to make great use of the site for lunch and dinner and enjoy some time outside and exploring Boone, which was super close and easy to get to. The hosts home was closer than we expected so keep that in mind if you're looking for full privacy, but they were both incredibly friendly and helpful.

This home is an absolute gem—far more than just a rental, it’s a true labor of love. The craftsmanship, custom finishes, and thoughtful design make it a stunning and comfortable retreat. Every detail feels intentional, creating an atmosphere that is both stylish and welcoming. Our girls, both younger, kept talking about how much they loved the “birds nest” in the Bird House. That is what they called the upstairs space that they slept in on the pull out couch. One small note for future guests: the driveway is not paved and the slope is at a slight grade. If you drive a vehicle that sits lower (a regular car or minivan) you might scrape the bottom of your front bumper a little. No big deal, if you have the choice to drive something that sits a little higher it might be better. Overall, this place is truly exceptional, and we’d return in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!

This was the perfect space to relax and rewind. The private balcony, cozy fireplace, and view of the mountain made us want to stay forever. Eric was extremely helpful and friendly. He responded asap - couldn’t ask for a better experience.

Beautiful, cozy cottage with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Buck greeted me and let me know a few things about the historic one room cabin. Easy access to Boone and Blowing Rock. Loved, loved, loved!!

We loved it here. There were small farm animals in the yard before ours and the views are amazing. We enjoyed the fire pot as well.

Not only was this one of the best houses I've stayed in in recent years, but Lani and Christian were some of the best hosts as well. Lani made sure we had all of the information we needed for the stay ahead of time and made sure to let us know that she was available for anything we might have needed throughout, she even gave us a weather warning update to prepare us in case we didn't check on our own. Lani and Christian went so far as to set up the firepit for us ahead of time so we could just light it and enjoy, they also introduced us to their farm animals and gave us a small tour! They were extremely welcoming and made the place feel like home. The property was extremely clean, the beds were comfortable, the location was perfect for a quiet get away, but not too far from town and you could tell every inch of the cabin was thoughtfully designed. This was all around an excellent stay. We will absolutely be back in the future and definitely recommend staying here!!
