A great, quiet, clean retreat. It is remote on a spacious cattle farm with amazing rolling hills views. Loved the ambiance of the electric fireplace when watching TV in the evenings. I’ll definitely be back.

Absolutely amazing place! I spent my 43rd bday w my husband and 12yr old son here. It was everything we needed. We cooked dinner here, etc. had everything we needed , although I would recommend brining your own spices (we usually do anyways) as some things were off limits. Also we brought our own toiletries. A DG was also not far. We wondered into Marshfield about ten mins away for breakfast at a cute cafe that was delicious. We had s’mores and got in the hot tub as well as had some fun with the goats! We bought three cheeses & fresh farm eggs. All great prices. The hosts were very sweet and answered any questions…Highly recommend if you want some quiet and tranquility. Loved it.

We had a wonderful, peaceful, relaxing stay at Tara’s place! This location is great if you’re looking to explore Springfield and the surrounding area! We loved the goats and the fresh eggs that were supplied for our stay! we hope to be back again someday!

Rachel is incredible. Everything about the home and the host was just amazing. I really Enjoyed my stay so much that I extended it twice! The house is fully stocked and had everything we needed.

Lovely home on the James river close to Springfield and Baker Creek in Mansfield.

Just what we needed after a long day of driving. Comfortable bed in a safe, private location. We reserved Aimee’s place last minute. She was so friendly and accommodating. Thank you again for a wonderful night’s sleep.

Cozy cabin is an accurate description of the place we stayed for a few days. While I wouldn't want to arrive after dark, any difficulty has more to do with the back country roads and relatively remote setting than anything else, which for us was a plus. The cabin was as advertised, and we didn't lack for anything we needed or expected. The shower was strong and hot. The coffee provided was robust. The setting was peaceful and quiet. This would be a great place to stay for day trips through the area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mitchell and Mandy's house! Our favorite part was that the master suite is literally the entire bottom floor giving parents their privacy to be romantic AND the soaking tub! The kitchen is absolutely beautiful and has everything you need and the park next to the house is so cute and a nice distraction for the kids. Also, I just want to add that the Price Cutter grocery store in Marshfield has so many healthy options and decent vegetarian/vegan/allergy friendly options for your friends and family who might have dietary differences. Thank you Mitchell and Mandy! We'll be coming back.
