We (family of four with young kids) came across this house and loved it, but it didn’t have a bed for our one year old daughter, so we sent Vic a message and he went out of his way to find one. Great start! When we got there, the house was even better than the pictures give away: private villa on the quiet outskirts of Ahangama, but a five minute tuk tuk ride will get you to the town’s centre where all the restaurants and such are. Modern bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, nice kitchen and living room, beautiful pool, huge patio with a roof over it, monkeys in the trees in the morning etc. etc. I contacted Vic several times during our stay and always got quick replies with great advice - places to eat, tuk tuk drivers, surf coach and places to see. Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again myself some day!

Wir wollten gar nicht mehr gehen! Wir haben uns bei Sunil wie zu Hause gefühlt. Der Pool gleich am Strand war grossartig! Sunil hat uns leckeres Frühstück gekocht, welches wir mit Meerblick geniessen konnten. Das Hauptschlafzimmer ist ein Traum, man kann vom Balkon aus den Garten und das Meer überblicken. Ein Hausangesteller und ein Nachtwächter waren jederzeit vor Ort. Dieser Ort war unsere Oase und perfekt, um nach der langen Reise zu entspannen. Wir würden sofort wiederkommen!

Amazing place! Beautiful pool and incredible views. Mrs Ira is so lovely and gave us a cooking lesson for free!! Vincent sent a really helpful guide and the property is really one of a kind. Area is kind of remote (walk to jungle beach but a bit further from unawatuna) which is nice and secluded and easy to get around with Kumar’s tuk tuk rides and connections :))

We have had a fantastic week here at Cococabana, with a spacious and well-equipped house, a park-like garden and a large and elegant swimming pool. In addition, the hosts Anne-Marie and Daniel are very positive and attentive, along with their pleasant staff. The dogs that live here are friendly and contribute to a great environment. When we arrived, we received a good overview of all the practicalities, and were met with a clean and delicate house, with fresh fruit and food in the fridge. We have been traveling around Sri Lanka for over two months, and this is without a doubt the most beautiful place we have stayed in. The property is located undisturbed right by the sea, but still only a nice walk or tuktuk ride to beaches, shops and restaurants. Here we have experienced everything we could wish for. We would be happy to return on a later occasion.

Mit Abstand die absolut beste Unterkunft die wir jemals hatten. Schon von der Kontaktaufnahme bis hin zum Check out einfach alles super. Charith und Tharaka sind die Perlen des Hauses. Wir wurden während unseres Aufenthalts liebevoll umsorgt. Charith überraschte uns jeden Morgen mit einem leckeren Frühstück und ging sogar auf die Sonderwünsche der Kinder ein. Die Villa wurde täglich gereinigt, frische Blumen standen auf dem Tisch... einfach liebevolle Detailarbeit. Es ist ein super gemütliches offenes Haus, mit großen Räumen ohne unnötigen Kram, aber viel Liebe zum Detail. Die tolle Aussicht vom Pool über die Reisfelder und gleichzeitige Privatsphäre spricht für sich. Wer sich hier nicht wohlfühlt, dem kann tatsächlich nicht mehr weiter geholfen werden. Zusammengefasst: Urlaub vom feinsten ab der ersten Minute.

## Un séjour idyllique : La villa de tous les bonheurs Une découverte exceptionnelle que je recommande chaleureusement ! Cette villa m'a totalement conquis par son environnement et son confort. Située dans un cadre naturel préservé et paisible, elle offre un havre de paix qui permet de se ressourcer pleinement. L'équipement est particulièrement soigné et pensé dans les moindres détails, répondant à tous les besoins des voyageurs. La piscine, véritable joyau de la propriété, est simplement superbe - un endroit parfait pour se détendre et profiter de moments de pure relaxation. Le personnel mérite une mention spéciale pour sa réactivité et son professionnalisme. Toujours disponible et attentif, il contribue grandement à la qualité de l'expérience. En résumé, une location que je recommande sans la moindre hésitation.

Wir hatten wirklich eine wundervolle Zeit in der Villa! Die Fotos werden der Realität hier nicht gerecht und es sieht wirklich noch viel schöner aus! Alles war toll und der Pool ist ein absolutes Highlight. Alle sind super nett und herzlich. Beim nächsten mal werden wir hier sicher wieder vorbeikommen. Vielen Dank und bis bald Benni ☺️

Terrene Villa was everything and more. Jalal responded quickly to any queries before arrival and during the booking process. We stayed for two weeks as a family of 4, plus daughter's boyfriend. The villa is stunning and just as described. Sri Lanka is the gift that keeps on giving and Terrene Villa is the perfect place to enjoy it all. Suda and Judi (apologies if I have spelt their names wrong) were a delight and looked after us very well. Their breakfasts were enjoyable and the fresh juices were delicious. The gardens were kept beautifully and what a joy to see monkeys in the trees and on the roof! Viraj sorted all our travel and day trips out and was always quick to reply and make suggestions. We were so sad to leave the villa, it really is an oasis of calm.

We rented the Moss Villa for a whole month and absolutely loved it. The garden and pool are beautiful and well maintained — a peaceful oasis just 5 minutes by bicycle from awesome surf spots and Ahangama town. It’s quiet, yet close enough to walk or cycle anywhere, with tuk-tuks always available too. The villa had everything we needed: comfy beds, a fully equipped kitchen, good Wi-Fi, and a stunning outdoor area. Our 3-year-old also had a great time! The owners were wonderful — great communication from booking to checkout and always helpful during our stay. We’d definitely come back and highly recommend it!

Catherine's place is fantastic, beyond what we expected from the photos. It was large, well furnished and had plenty of nooks for the ten of us on a family holiday to find some chill time. The bedrooms were large, air conditioned (and fans), each with their own bathroom, and very comfortable. The garden was beautiful and spacious and with outdoor pavillion and wide verandahs was perfect to watch the kids in the pool. Nimal, the chef at the house, was fabulous and could cook almost anything we wanted from full Sri Lankan banquets to burgers and pizza. He was great to work with as was house manager Sathish. We had a wonderful 10 days here and would love to do it again.

Thank you so much for your hospitality! The place was really cozy and nice, we loved the balcony surrounded by blooming trees. The hosts were incredible - friendly, responsive. For example, we wanted ab extra key and a fan for the balcony - all of our requests were completely satisfied. It was always clean and neat - cleaning every week with a change of bed linen. The place is close to the main beaches, bus stop and everything you light need. Yard is blooming and big enough for parking 4-5 bikes

Der Aufenthalt im Takamake Tree war der perfekte Start für unsere Sri Lanka Reise! Und zugleich auch nicht: denn alles andere kann eigentlich nur schlechter werden! :) Das Apartment ist wunderschön, liebevoll eingerichtet und die Lage war für uns einfach perfekt! Ja, es ist etwas abgelegen von der Hauptstraße und damit von den meisten Restaurants und Cafés. Man braucht etwa 15-20 Minuten zu Fuß zum Strand und den meisten Restaurants und TukTuks sind in dieser Gegend nicht immer einfach zu bekommen. Gerade das fanden wir aber toll!! Es ist absolut ruhig und entspannt. Von der Dachterrasse aus kann man Palmhörnchen und Affen beobachten, und den Zug, der immer wieder vorbeifährt. Die Umgebung ist so schön und friedlich und die Menschen sind einfach freundlich. Gerade die Dachterrasse ist das absolute Highlight! Der Ausblick in den Dschungel ist fantastisch, die Geräusche der Natur sind so beruhigend. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Vielen Dank!

The house was spacious and the garden was perfect for outside breakfast and dinner. The location is perfect, just a few minutes walk from the beach, restaurants and train station. The communication with Suren and his family was very good, they are lovely people living just beside the house and ready to help us whenever we needed it! For the price it’s a bargain, we definitely recommend :)

Trop cher pour ce que c’est par rapport à ce qui se fait au Sri Lanka, mais en dehors du prix c’est un logement agréable proche de la plage, avec une belle piscine.

Our stay at licuala was truly memorable. The place itself was incredibly special—beautifully designed with a peaceful, inviting atmosphere that instantly made us feel at home. Melanie was simply amazing. From the start, she was warm, friendly, and always ready to help. She answered all our questions with such kindness and made everything so easy—from arranging bike rentals to helping with laundry. Her attention to detail and genuine care made all the difference. licuala has a unique charm, and with Melanie’s hospitality, it became one of the highlights of our trip. We would return in a heartbeat!

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in der White House Lodge sehr genossen. Wir haben uns schnell wie zuhause gefühlt in der grosszügigen Wohnung. Es war alles da, was wir brauchten. Die schöne grosse Terrasse lädt zum Verweilen ein. Janaka und seine Familie haben uns sehr herzlich empfangen und wir haben interessante Gespräche geführt. Unsere beiden gleich alten Söhne haben sich angefreundet, vielleicht eine Freundschaft fürs Leben? Das Internet funktioniert sehr gut, perfekt um zwischendurch zu arbeiten. Janaka hat unsere Ferien mit Tipps für Ausflüge bereichert. Sewwandi hat sehr lecker für uns gekocht, vielen Dank dafür! Preis-Leistung ist top! Wir kommen wieder.

Дом находится в джунглях, на холме, в 800 м от прекрасного пляжа. Дорога до пляжа не тяжелая, может только до дома пешком показаться трудноватой, но для нас это не было проблемой. К тому же в случае сильного ливня, что в Шри является нормой в независимости от сезона, вода не затапливает дом - одно из главных преимуществ дома на холме. В доме есть все необходимое: 3 спальни, 3 кровати, ванная комната с горячей водой (на улице есть летний душ) на кухне газовые конфорки, холодильник, большой обеденный стол. Везде есть вентиляторы, а в одной из спален - кондиционер. Очень понравился сад - большой и утопает в растительности. Хозяева очень гостеприимные и добрые люди. Организовали нам поездку в Эллу. По приезду приготовили очень вкусный ужин. Мы обязательно сюда еще вернемся. Хозяевам желаю удачи и успеха во всем. Спасибо за чудесный дом, отдых и доброе отношение. До новых встреч.

The villa is adequately provided and well equipped . If anything is required to suit your taste then Aravinda promptly arranges the same . We spent nearly 34 days at this villa and it had become a second home to us. 2 bedrooms were provided with AC and the 3rd bedroom was provided with desert cooler. For longer stays the electricity is billed to the guest. Our bill was @14000 LKR for the entire duration . We used only 1 AC as only 1 bedroom was utilised by us. We didnot use any electric cooking gadget , even though all kinds of electric ovens were there. We used only the cooking gas stove and gas cylinder was provided by Aravinda . The front lawn is green and Aravinda takes responsibility to get the lawn cleaned once every week. Be careful of red ants though :-). Aravinda took us for a familiarisation ride of the locality on our 1st day . He also picked / dropped us from/to airport in his sedan at very low cost. We definitely would like to come back again!

Wirklich tolle Unterkunft! Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit unserem Aufenthalt. Sehr sauber!

wonderful colonial villa in quiet neighborhood. there as a bit of confusion at check in but that was sorted out easily . Nice staff and responsive manager , who recommended us to go to a very nice beach side restaurant " la tartaruga" in Unawatuna! highly reccommended

Fahiriya was a lovely host! He was always available whenever we needed advice or any supplies personally delivered from the local market. The property is very private with a small garden and lockable gate. House is spacious and kitchen was well equipped to allow us to cook at home. A small Cargills supermarket is 5 minutes walk away as well as a number of friendly food vendors selling seasonal fruit or local foods. Dewata Beach was also 5 minutes away walking. Great spot for our kids as the water was relatively shallow and waves not too big. Heaps of options for surf lessons/board hire if that's also your thing. There was also a great locally run restaurant called Madeena Beach Hotel which we frequented a number of times. Don't be put off by the appearance as it's excellent food without the tourist price. About 15min tuk tuk back into Galle Fort or the other direction to Unawatuna Beach. Overall a nice quiet spot which was perfect for our family getaway.

This was a wonderful place to stay for a weekend of adventuring!

This home, host and his family was our best thing in Weligama! Close to very calm and pretty beach, close to markets, centre, but more calm, no noises in the night, no smokes near..We stayed there for almost month and we were sad to leave. The host is super friendly, super helpful with every little thing. The best experience, better than we expected. We already miss this place and we know that we will come back next year! Would reccomend 100% to everyone!! ❤️ With all the love!
