After travelling around Sri Lanka for 2 months we wanted somewhere peaceful where we could relax and this was the perfect place. This is by far the quietest place we have stayed and the entire view from our terrace was greenery. The room was very clean and the entire building and grounds were very well looked after. The kitchen was handy as there is only really one restaurant within walking distance. If you don't cook your own meals there were options on Uber eats for delivery and plenty of other places just a short tuk tuk or bus ride away. The staff were very friendly and we got to see monitor lizards, monkeys, plenty of birds, a frog and a small snake in the garden area. If you want somewhere quiet with nature on your doorstep but still with western style accommodation this place is ideal.

We have stayed in around 180 Airbnbs and this is stand out one of the best! THE most fully equipped property we have ever come across, with all sorts of unexpected items such as mosquito repellent coils, filtered water, cooking oils and first aid kit! Eva and her manager, Tharush were amazingly friendly and accommodating. 5 star service and facilties to match! Can't recommend this place enough.

넓고 깨끗하고 쾌적한 숙소였습니다. 해변과도 가까운 거리에 있었고 툭툭이 타기도 편했어요. 테라스도 있어서 야외 풍경 보면서 음식 먹기에도 좋은 집이었습니다. 다음에 갈레에 오면 또 머물고 싶네요. 추천드립니다!

Der Aufenthalt bei Nalaka und seiner Familie war der beste meines Lebens! Wir verbrachten 30 Tage dort und genossen jede Sekunde. Nalaka und seine Frau Navisha sind unglaublich herzlich und aufmerksam, gaben uns das Gefühl, zur Familie zu gehören, aber auch genug Raum für Ruhe. Die Unterkunft liegt mitten im Dschungel, umgeben von sattem Grün, aber dennoch nah am Zentrum von Ahangama. Die Wohnung ist viel größer als auf den Bildern, makellos sauber und fühlt sich wie ein Fünf-Sterne-Hotel an. Besonders der Außenbereich und die Dachterrasse mit Blick auf spielende Affen waren Highlights. Nalaka ist zudem ein exzellenter Koch – besonders empfehlenswert sind die Deviled Kalamari und die Villa Kingford Soup. Für uns ist er mehr als ein Gastgeber, er ist ein wahrer Freund geworden. Wir kommen garantiert wieder! Ein riesiges Dankeschön an Nalaka, Navisha, Satheesha und Namadhi – eure Gastfreundschaft war unvergesslich!

We stayed at Sajeewa’s home for three weeks and could not recommend it enough. It’s spacious, comfortable and clean. The kitchen is sufficiently equipped to cook meals and save money on eating out. The gardens around the house are lush and invite lots of birds for watching in the early mornings. The balcony is such a highlight, it’s serene and peaceful, you could spend hours there chatting, working or simply staring into nature. Sajeewa and his family are so hospitable and very easy to communicate with, they made our stay feel very homely. Local shops are within walking distance and Weligama beach is a 20 minute walk at best. We would definitely stay with Sajeewa again if we’re back in Weligama.

Really lovely spacious apartment + VERY comfortable bed. Good spot in Ahangama - totally central and walking distance to the beach and bars/restaurants. Joanne and the guys in the Ice Cream parlour were so helpful. The little balcony also gets the afternoon/evening sun, so a nice spot to chill out. Highly recommend staying here xxx

Very friendly host! Had a good time. The accommodation is exactly between unawatuna and dewata beach. Big plus : waching machine and a fully equipped kitchen to cook!

We spent two lovely days relaxing at this beautiful little garden flat. Thuruni very kindly allowed us to check in early and could not have been more helpful explaining everything with very good English. We loved the gorgeous garden and surroundings, eating at the outdoor dining table. The outdoor kitchen was brilliantly equipped with everything one could need including tea, coffee, condiments, incense sticks, washing and cleaning products. Attention to detail was excellent. It was great to have our own private space after 2 weeks of using hotels plus catch up with our laundry. We had an amazing evening with a Sri Lankan buffet and live band around the corner at Sand Banks Restaurant. Highly recommended.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at an Airbnb hosted by Ruwan, and it was a delightful experience. Ruwan was an extremely warm and welcoming host, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The location was fantastic, within walking distance to both the beach and Coconut Tree Hill. The lush green property felt almost like staying in a forest, offering a serene environment. The breakfast provided was very good, with a variety of delicious options. The room was a bit small, but it didn't affect our comfort during the stay. Additionally, Ruwan offers to help plan activities in and around Mirissa, which could add a lot of value to your trip. Despite the minor detail about the room size, the stay had its positive aspects, particularly Ruwan's hospitality, the excellent breakfast, and the beautiful surroundings. This Airbnb is a great choice for travelers looking for a welcoming host and a beautiful location.

We stayed for 2 weeks at Gayans place, it looks exactly like the pictures with lots of space. The bed is really comfy and the shower has hot water although the pressure is low. Me and my boyfriend both work online, so the desks were great however 10GB of fibre internet was not enough for both of us to work for a full day You do need a bike for the location as there aren’t many restaurants in walking distance. We rented a different one because the bike provided had no mirrors I know this is a family home, however the owners were occasionally cleaning in the garden which made it feel a bit less private at times Overall, I would recommend Gayan’s place, it was great value for money and we had a lovely time in Weligama, thank you ☺️

We had a great stay at Bandula’s villa! Bandula was so helpful and friendly. The place was clean and perfectly located. We would 100% stay here again if we came back to Sri Lanka

Wir hatten einen fantastischen Aufenthalt in Kumbalgama und haben unsere Zeit dort sehr genossen. Kalsara und seine Eltern waren jederzeit erreichbar und halfen gerne mit Tipps. Sie haben sogar einmal für uns gekocht, sodass wir uns sehr heimische gefühlt haben. Lediglich der Lärm von der Straße ist ein kleiner Wermutstopfen, wofür jedoch der Gastgeber nichts kann.

Had a fantastic stay at amani’s place! It was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The location was perfect, close to beach, and the host was incredibly friendly and responsive. Check-in was smooth, and the space felt like a home away from home. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

Lahiru and his family were amazing hosts and so kind to us! They moved over our bags from their other property (shady cottage) while we were away for the day and even came to help us when we ran out of gas on our bike. They were so friendly and we felt right at home. It’s a beautiful peaceful location that is still close to ahanagama and kabalana beach which has lots of restaurants, surfing, bars. You can rent a bike so you can get around easily. Thank you for everything you did for our stay! :)

We were really happy to stay here - felt like a home in another country. Appreciated the own outdoor kitchen & laundry machine. The area was quiet, peacefull & mostly local. It is easy to move around - also to local markets & supermarket & fishmarket. The Host are very polite and they have their own small shop where you can buy for example all the drinking water & eggs. The apartment itself is spacious. It was also easy to organize a bike from nearby & store it at the yard. You can easily live here in the rhytm of the nature and hear also the nearby temple/monestry monks singing every morning & evening. It was convienent to get to all the nearby activities like yoga, restaurants etc with a bike in a couple of minutes. In over all it was a peacefull home not too far from anything and we were especially happy not to have loud overnight parties or traffic noises at night around. Blissfull, great value for the money & highly recommended!🫶🏻

We stayed at Sanjayas place for four nights. The family was super kind and helped us with local advice such as restaurants and must-sees close by. They arranged transport to the house and again when we left. Their hospitality was warm and made us feel welcome. We would definitly recommend this place to others.

A perfect stay with a lovely family as hosts. Right from the booking to the day of check-in and beyond, Chanuka was very proactive in checking on us, recommending modes of travel, nearby restaurants, and everything! We had a warm welcome by Chanuka's father with a refreshing welcome drink who showed us around the place and offered assistance anytime. Just as a family member would, he advised us to be careful while stepping out at night, offered to cook food, made us feel very welcome and right at home. Meeting and interacting with Chanuka and his lovely family was truly a pleasure. Mango House 1 is just perfect in every aspect with every facility available for a comfortable stay, and is maintained very well with great personal attention. We were even offered an authentic Sri Lankan breakfast and it was super delicious and healthy. I gladly 100% recommend Chanuka's Mango House 1 as the best place to stay in Galle for a loving memory to cherish always!

We had an excellent stay at Ranjit’s home. Communication was always easy and the location is perfect. Ranjit and his family are very hospitable and friendly made our stay in Galle very confortable.

This is our 2nd stay at Sha Villas by Ushaan. Overall, Five-star host and a brilliant apartment! Check in and check out is super easy, and Ushaan is a very communicative and thoughtful host. It is a beautiful , spacious place with great amenities. Immaculately clean and a very convenient location. We would book again for our next visit.

I stayed here for 1 month during my placement at Karapitiya Teaching Hospital and this apartment was everything I could have hoped for and more. Nihal and Chandra are the kindest, most caring and the friendliest hosts I could have hoped for. I felt safe, comfortable and at home for my entire stay, and felt so welcomed by them. The apartment is beautiful, has everything you need and is close to Galle fort, the beaches and the hospital. Nihal and Chandra welcomed me with open arms, introduced me to delicious Sri Lankan foods and taught me lots about their culture and embraced me as part of their family during my stay! I will always remember their kindness and hospitality and will definitely return!

I had an amazing stay at Crystal Villa Weligama, a perfect retreat for relaxation and productivity. The villa features 3 beautifully designed bedrooms, making it ideal for families or groups. The fully-equipped kitchen has everything you need, and with fiber optic internet, it’s great for digital nomads. Located in a calm and quiet area, the villa offers a large garden for relaxation. Just 800 meters from the beach and town, it’s a short 5-10 minute walk to enjoy the sun and surf. The neighborhood is safe and secure, ideal for families. The host, Ruwan, is incredibly helpful, ensuring a comfortable stay. Crystal Villa Weligama is one of the best places to stay in the area, offering comfort, convenience, and tranquility. I highly recommend it for both work and leisure.
