Great house in a beautiful location. Excellent amenities, beautiful design, perfect for travelling with pups. A few notes: - The # of steps up to the unit might be underestimated by a factor of ~5. Not recommended unless you're reasonably fit. - The bedroom doors don't latch. There are hook-style locks provided....on the outside of the door. Not a huge deal, just means you need to shove something under the door if you want to keep the dogs from nosing their way in. - The water from the tap gets _really_ hot. This is great for some things (shaving) and less great for others (shower, dishwashing) Overall an excellent spot!

Fantastic with everything you could possibly need pretty much right on the doorstep. The house is huge - we stayed for a family holiday and we could all go off for some alone time and not feel on top of eachother. The living area, dining area and kitchen are large and communal. Loved sitting out on the deck in the afternoon sun. The beds were comfortable and clean with good quality linens. Wonderful shower - hot with great pressure. Everything was supremely clean. Pets loved the secure backyard. Did I mention the location? Super handy for everything. The coffee from Forage merchants and Alice town espresso (both a 5 min walk away) is excellent.

Nice place tomstay, close to city, the access was a bit confusing, but that was mostly my mistake for not readimg the instructions.

We are a family of 4 with two kids 4 and 6. This place is a great location, beautiful kitchen and lovely renovated bathrooms. Cute little sunny backyard and a few toys/games for kids. We were happy here and it was close to a few playgrounds. Beds comfy and there were all the little things that we needed for living in this place for 10 days (laundry, cooking etc). Made things pretty easy for us. Whilst there isnt off street parking, we had no trouble finding a coupon park.

Lovely renovated, clean home, beautifully furnished, lots of space (including outside) and fantastic location. Host was very responsive, and accommodating. We recently arrived to New Zealand and this was a perfect base to explore Wellington and surrounding areas from. Would recommend to anyone needing a spacious home with easy access to the region.

Guy was friendly and communicative and went above and beyond for our elderly parents who were visiting. The accommodations were lovely and clean. Highly recommend.

Do yourself a favour and stay at Hikaia’s beautiful period house in Wellington. Its location so close to the harbour and the city centre is ideal for anyone wishing to spend a few days wandering around the city. The house itself is beautifully restored with great attention paid to even the smallest details like period light switches and even toilet roll holders! I recommend this accommodation highly.

We were instantly excited to be there as we walked down the steps from the road to see the house. It had a very cozy cottage feel with an amazing view outback. The backdeck view of the water offered an amazing place to enjoy a coffee and watch planes takeoff at the distant airport. The beds were comfy and the kitchen had everything you needed. We only stayed one night but had a relaxing night in. It is not walkable to restaurants but the views made up for it. We did walk up to the scenic lookout at the top of the hill as well as walked to the nearby park to see a few Lord of the Rings filming location (Hobbits Hideaway).

Super nice host! was very welcoming to my 2 dogs and was always super good at communicating as well as having an excellent fenced in area and house for my stay! Will definitely come back again!

Great location, wonderful home/space with a lovely quiet backyard and quiet neighborhood. Quick 2 block walk to the beach, restaurants, shopping and cafes on Jackson and not too far from the local grocery store. The beds and pillows were cozy, living area comfortable and kitchen had everything you needed to feel at home. When I return for my next holiday, I will definitely try to boom the cottage again. Excellent host, quick to response and had the sense she’d be available for any questions.

Beautiful and peaceful and wroth every penny. Perfect for anyone who loves horses. The unit is well equipped and the bed is fantastically comfortable. We also went horse riding. Andrew and Laura were very accommodating and it was a great experience. We will be back.

What a wonderful place to stay while in Wellington! I can’t recommend this place highly enough. Kate is very communicative, thoughtful and helpful and her tips and suggestions really improved my visit. You *must* be able to walk up and down lots of steps in order to stay here (as well as walk around the surrounding area), but it’s so worth it. You get an authentic Wellington experience living here and can explore the hidden pathways (most with steps!) as you walk to Zealandia, the Botanic Gardens (and glow worms!), and the cable car. And it’s only a 5- minute walk to the local village shops and excellent restaurants. I was able to comfortably stay here for 4 days without a car. I wish I could have stayed longer. I loved my stay in this beautiful apartment and especially the kind preparation for my dog. Loved the dog bed all made up and water bowl ready. The perfect place to rest after a long journey.

Such a great house and position. The views are outstanding . Very comfortable king bed in upstairs bedroom. Tanamahutas home was very comfortable with lots of lovely extra items around the house. Would recommend for a group of 4-5.

What an absolutely wonderful place. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The proximity to the airport is excellent. It's quiet, so you don't have to worry about any traffic noise, but you do hear the planes sometimes. The place has quite a few stairs, but that is what you get when you live on a hillside and you want to have a view. 3 bedrooms downstairs were great. the sofa bed ended up working out OK. A regular bed would have been preferred (suggestion for the future). Appreciated the portacot and the other extras to make our stay more enjoyable. Super easy to work with host. Very responsive and was kind enough to help us out with a challenging situation. Kitchen is excellent. Loved having the view points. Walked to the beach the morning we flew home. You will need a car to stay here, but the location is fantastic. Short drive to key points (Weta Workshop and Zealandia, but most important - the airport was only 8 minutes away). I wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you so much!

The most beautiful place to stay before a wedding, Tina was extremely accommodating and I felt like I was right at home. The attention and detail she has put into the property was top notch and the alpacas were so cute and friendly! Thank you so much for a truly unforgettable stay.

We had a lovely 4 night stay. The hosts have exquisite taste, the furniture and styling is unique, and makes this property feel like a home, and not some generic airbnb. The outdoor area is obviously a highlight, the pool got a lot of use, the kids absolutely loved it. Also the sauna was a real treat too. The indoor/outdoor flow was great, and created a wonderful relaxed atmosphere. The playground was just across the road, and the beach a 5 min walk. Thanks for having us, we will definitely be keen to return.

Wow! 22x better than my expectations! If your looking to go off grid, to a beautiful castle in a far far away land (5 mins frm home , but feels like a million miles away!) This is PERFECT!! The views are stunning. The hot tub outside under the night sky was definately my favourite, the inside of the castle is spectacular. & Even more so at night. ✨️ My wee doggo got over excited and wuldnt levae the festers cage alone however al was very informative , with a kind calm approach . All in all: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
