We stayed for a long weekend for a girls weekend and to do a long day walk on a Saturday. Beautiful spot to relax for a weekend or if you’re planning a hike around the area. The cottage had everything we needed and more and we definitely left feeling like we had a mini vacation! Richard was great at communicating and making sure our time spent at the cottage was wonderful. The pool was an absolute treat after our hike and the spa also to stargaze. Thank you!

A delightful seaside cottage, elegantly designed with a porch overlooking the bay. Very comfortable and quiet. One can hear the soothing sounds of waves at night. There are gardens front and back with tables from which to enjoy the view. This is a fantastic place to watch sunset every evening.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely historic cottage. Tuhitarata Cottage is renovated and furnished with great care and good taste - a great balance between modern amenities and well-maintained original character. Thoughtful hosts who made the stay easy, and were particularly helpful with a couple of extra requests, including a dip in the pool very early in the season. Gardens and estate surrounding were all made available to us, and the whole family enjoyed wandering and exploring. Thanks, Rob and Janelle! We hope to come back some time.

True Luxury within a Boutique yet homely setting here at The Gatehouse. It was evident that this was going to become my best AirBNB experience from the moment Philip made contact. The entire process was swift and smooth with no delay in communication. The house itself is remarkable, with high end sound equipment, luxury bathroom toiletries and rich flora at your doorstep, just to name a few. The location itself is a simple 20 minute drive from the CBD or a short ferry trip if you prefer. Its peaceful surroundings and friendly locals help aid this in being the best Airbnb you can find, not only in Wellington but perhaps the entirety of the Southern Hemisphere. Look no further if you want to set the bar so high as to make a 5 star hotel feel like a hostel…

We stayed a night with my partner and it was absolutely delightful. We had a such relaxing time in the hot tub. The view is also stunning. We highly appreciated the cheese, wine and breakfast included. You have everything you'll need in the cottage. 😊

such an amazing get away! the property is stunning and there is so much to do. the animals are so cute and the row boat was so so fun. the host is the sweetest and was so welcoming we will definitely be back:)

A beautiful place, very peaceful, for a retreat from the world. We loved it there. Had a starlit spa, sat out in the sun, snuggled inside when it got cold. We appreciated the little touches like the ciabatta and eggs. The kitchen has good quality saucepans and a really good oven. It’s also great to have the Nespresso machine because the nearest cafe is in Martinborough. Really recommend this place for those who want a cosy sanctuary.

We loved Jo's place, it was comfortable and had everything we needed. The location is amazing. It was lovely to relax and look out at the ocean. The perfect spot for a get away.

Bumblebee Cottage is a charming place to stay in a tranquil and beautiful setting. The children loved playing in the garden and the visits from the hens were a real treat. The cottage was very well stocked with everything we needed and more. We'll definitely be back.

Had a great stay at David's with the partner and young dog.. treats on arrival were a nice surprise plenty of firewood. push bikes were a bonus. easy check in and easy communication with David.. house was tidy with plenty to keep entertained with local information provided. was perfect location for what we were after for a short trip. morning trip to Morrisons bush. lunch and drinks at the wineries. night out at a few bars in martinborough, finished with some whitebaiting out the coast of Lake ferry. cheers david

A lovely stay in Martinborough! This cottage is very well-located if you're spending the weekend in Martinborough. Very comfy, with everything you'd need to feel right at home. Beautiful outdoor space for our little dog to run around in. Would definitely recommend to everyone!

Can’t rate this cute place highly enough. Caroline is so highly welcoming to humans and dogs alike, with treats left on the table for dogs, as well as us. Even dog toys. Sooooooo clean and comfortable, beautifully decorated and lots of gorgeous touches. She has also thought of every little thing you need. We had visitors who loved the place too. Beach acccess across the road and not far from cafes etc. even better - totally dog proof for our dogs. Top marks. One of the best places we’ve stayed. Thankyou Caroline!

Wonderful location and cottage nestled amongst a lovely garden and trees. All supplies provided for a well equiped stay. Louise & Russell were welcoming and friendly.

Emma’s place is a great base to explore Wellington. Large and spacious, it has a wonderful covered backyard to shelter you from Wellington‘s weather. And right down the street are cafés, a very good takeout fish restaurant, and the Garage Project — home of the best beer in New Zealand. And be sure to visit Zelandia, which is an incredible oasis in town, as well as the Gallipoli exhibit at the National Museum.

We stayed at Richard's place for a month. it is larger than it appears in the photos and is very comfortable - especially the bed. The kitchen is very well equipped and we really felt like we were at home. The location is quiet but very handy to shops and the city. We mainly drove around Wellington but the No2 bus stop is a few steps away. Richard and Jolanda were friendly and responsive and we would stay again.

We had at wonderful time at Manganui Farm. The cottage is spacious and well equipped, and we loved having a BBQ in the garden in the evening. We also enjoyed the modern bathroom and the comfy bed, overall just perfect for relaxing and getting some peace and quiet.

My parents had a fantastic time away for Dad's birthday! They said the place was a fantastic location, modern, tidy, a great getaway and had everything they needed for a lovely weekend away!

Elisa was very friendly and thoughtful. All information you need was there and her instructions were very clear so you won’t miss anything. The beach house was beautifully decorated and so comfortable. The beach was in walking distance and shops were around couple minutes drive. I highly recommend this place to people want private and relaxed gateways.

It's a lovely little getaway location. We had a very relaxing stay. No troubles, everything we needed. 12/10 would recommend

Lovely setting, including rabbits hopping around, private and quiet. Inside/ outside flow. We ate outside. Great laundry facilities. Close to Ōtaki and the river was a walk away. A nice easy drive for a walk on the beach. Good cafe in Ōtaki- Himate, plus restaurants at Waikanae Beach. Sofas comfortable , bed fine. We will come again
