We loved our stay in the cozy cabin. It was more spacious than depicted in the photos. The cabin is tucked away in the redwoods and felt private and secluded, and at the same time was extremely accessible; downtown Arcata was only a 10 minute drive.

Our group had a wonderful stay over New Years Eve week. The property is absolutely beautiful, cozy and very private. It was exactly what we were looking for. Matt gave us very detailed directions to find the remote property. The home was very well appointed with amenities and very comfortable beds. We loved relaxing in the the hot tub and exploring around the region. We would definitely book again. Thanks Matt!

Great stay! One of the best Airbnb we have been. We enjoyed the beautiful views from the sunroom. Close to town and hiking trails.

Pauline’s place is heaven on Earth. Every tiny creature comfort has been thought of, and she is so incredibly gracious and considerate. She’s a total gem of a person, and this is by FAR my favorite Airbnb I’ve stayed in. Pauline was completely accessible at all times, and we were able to text and get responses within seconds. She provided excellent recommendations and has a whole giant guidebook to answer just about any question you have, complete with restaurant menus and information about the area. The place is exactly like the pictures. The only difference is that everything is more beautiful in person. There are neat, quirky little features everywhere you look, and it’s clear the place has been set up with the utmost thought and care. Don’t miss Pauline! Make sure you get to meet her during your stay! We don’t normally go out of our way to meet hosts, but Pauline is such a beautiful soul. You’ll be sorely missing out if you don’t find the rime to have a conversation with her!

We had such a great time at this Shelter Cove Airbnb. The huge deck with a fire pit was an amazing spot to unwind and enjoy the ocean views and sunset. The yard was big and perfect for our dogs to run around and although it isn’t fenced in it was still a nice place to play. The backyard off the master was fenced in and had a nice little jet tub which was great for 1 or 2 people to sit intimately together. Inside there were plenty of spots to relax and the big dining table made it easy for us to enjoy meals together. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook which was really convenient. Plus the beach was just a short walk away so it was easy to enjoy the coast whenever we wanted. Overall this place had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. We’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

What a charming little cottage in a beautiful and convenient location! Celine was so kind and helpful. She was so warm and welcoming to us and our dog, and she recommended trails and a dog park for us to visit. Location was conveniently near good restaurants and scenic places. Thank you, Celine, for sharing your special little nook with us!

Wow- What A View! was exactly as described, a great deal, and very enjoyable. We arrived after dark and had no issues finding the location and entering using the lock box key. We were able to bring our dog (loved this) and used the provided sheets to protect furniture. My absolute favorite part was the view from the kitchen and living rooms and the convenient walking distance to the ocean. We happened to be there at the same time as a storm and were able to witness some truly memorable waves. We ate at a few recommended restaurants in town and were also able to cook a few meals in. We played board games and enjoyed some time away from the hustle and bustle of life. Truly a great birthday present. Thank you!!

We had a great time at this bungalow near the beach. We had never been to Shelter Cove before so we didn't know what to really expect. this place was conveniently located just a short walking distance to the tide pools. The kids love to look for crabs and snails in the pools. We also enjoyed a delicious meal nearby. Shanna was excellent host and let us know of things to do in the area. The place was incredible. it was cozy and inviting. it felt like something out of a Ernest Hemingway book. We look forward to coming back again! Thank you

This was our second time staying in this house. It works out great for me, my husband, and our 3 kids. So much to walk to and many more things to do within a short drive. The house itself was clean, quiet, and had plenty of space for the 5 of us. I highly recommend!
