Lovely little apartment, warm, clean and well equipped in good location within easy walking distance of town. Free parking is a big bonus. Lisa has gone to a lot of trouble to make things nice including providing milk, cakes and prosecco! Things to be aware of (wouldn't put us off staying again): 1. The bed is a small double, too small for us as a couple. Lisa made up a single (camp) bed which I found comfy and slept well on but may not be for all. 2. The bathroom is in the bedroom, there's a partition which gives a little visual privacy when you're using the toilet, but no separation. Also no blind on the bathroom window so the light comes in in the morning if it's sunny.

It is a stunning cottage and we would have loved to stay longer than just a weekend! The place is cosy, spacious and has beautiful views of the countryside. The host, Virginia was very thoughtful, friendly and helpful on checking and throughout the stay.

Sally went above and beyond to accommodate us for a wedding in York which made the 4hr journey to York & time restraints on getting ready for the wedding far less stressful for us, this was hugely appreciated. Even though only there for 1 night, there were snacks provided which kept us fuelled whilst getting ready. Everything was super clean and Sally is a fab communicator.

The accommodation was lovely and very homely. We felt very comfortable there and it was an ideal spot for walking into the city centre. The hosts were very helpful and proactive and enabled us to have a very pleasant experience.

Staying at Alex's was an easy and relaxed Airbnb experience. Alex was super communicative and very accommodating when we visited the area for a biking event. The accommodation is clean and cosy in a very peaceful location and I would imagine it makes a great base for walking and horse riding, or cycling like we were doing. We had everything we needed and Alex generously includes a breakfast which was really good and helped set us up for the day. Bonus points for the very friendly cats. :) I'm sure if we returned to the area we wouldn't hesitate to book here again.

Phill’s place in York is lovely. Very comfortable for a small group to stay in York. It’s not a very lively neighbourhood but great for the price and an easy walk or bus ride into town. The place was really clean, everything you could need. The only thing to note is that the stairs in the flat that take you to the bedrooms are very steep which may be an issue for anyone with mobility/vision issues (like my mum, but she was able to sleep downstairs on the fold out sofa so all fine)

Nicola was possibly the most helpful and responsive host I've encountered - and I've met some amazing hosts in my time on airbnb! Lovely little pad with everything I could need. Comfy bed. Great shower. Thoughtful touches, including a milk top up mid stay! The village is super friendly with great walking/running trails. Definitely recommend. Thanks Nicola!

Entering through a rather modest door right off the street we found Andrea's flat to be spacious, modern and spotlessly clean. As previous reviews the bedroom at the rear of the property is very quiet so you get a good night's sleep in the huge comfy bed. The kitchen is modern, well equipped with several nice touches left for us to get our stay started. The shower gives a good hot flow, much better than the puny electric ones in most properties. We are really pleased to have found Andrea's flat and as we visit York at least once a year we hope to stay again.

Always nice to stay here. With family in the area, an ideal quiet place. Not far from the town and beach - all walkable.

Maria is a very pleasant lady to speak to. She responds to any queries or questions quite quickly. She helpful and genuine. I would recommend Maria's flat, especially if you need a self check in place that you can check into after a long journey. Maria's flat is clean and tidy , and has a very comfy bed, and bedding. I slept well while I stayed there, it felt like home from home, a cosy space during the time I needed to stay somewhere while building work was being done in my new home. I would stay there again for sure if I needed to, and would recommend it to friends if they were visiting the area.

Sebastian’s flat was a clean spacious flat with a nice private terrace and a very convenient parking spot. It was a 10 min max walk to the Minister so incredibly central whilst feeling private. Sebastian was a great host who was very proactive in communicating. A great stay.

If you are visiting York, you can’t beat the location of this apartment. It’s a quick walk into the city center. The train station is a four minute walk, via a short cut beside the parking lot. Helen was very responsive whenever I had questions about the area. We appreciated the breakfast items left by Helen. The apartment was well appointed with everything we needed for our trip.

I was visiting York for the first time with my partner and was swayed by this property due to the free parking and nice looking place. I am so glad I was. The space is STUNNING, much bigger than the pictures and honestly such great value for money. The hosts, David and Anita, were super friendly, helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. Important highlights - The water pressure in the shower was good - The bed was super comfy - The location is perfect - The complimentary extras from the hosts were wonderful and generous I would happily say this is the best Air bnb I have stayed in. My friend and I had a really good stay here, for the Whitby Gothic Weekend. Once arrived we were well accommodated, being given a driven tour around the town. Beds were comfortable and clean, and there were various amenities which were available. Breakfast was great, with many options which included local produce. Moreover, having breakfast be at a flexible time range allowed us to feel even more comfortable. Overall, we would definitely stay again, thanks again George and Christine.

Hi arrived and felt welcome straight away .Nice area od Scarborough rural-quiet.Which I'm used to wonderful .Accommodation was perfect ,especially the separate bathroom with shower&bath.Breakfast each morning was attentive & nicely presented. Definitely book again as Sarah makes you feel relaxed &at home instantly. Is near to Scarborough but a good walk if your not to fit lol .Taxi would be a plan B if not .Air B&B for me in summer was perfect thankyou ♡

WOW! Quite possibly the best Airbnb experience I've ever had! Helen and Nick were absolutely fantastic hosts, and the room was a dream. There were so many thoughtful and homey touches that made staying here a total delight. From the gorgeous breakfast set-up each morning to the bottle of bubbly in the fridge, right down to the practical touches like a parking pass and some great local recommendations- everything was so special and considerate! The house is also in a great location. Easy to walk into town while also having reliable and safe parking. Our favourite part of our stay, though, was of course the adorable Daisy! Such a sweet dog. We could not get enough of her. This is a definite must-stay place for anyone visiting Whitby. Thank you so much for making our time there so special!

it felt like we were staying with friends! Amanda has created such a wonderful space and hosts with such expertise! it was lovely sharing breakfast around a large table with other guests the following morning with delicious local products! the attentiveness to ensure we had the perfect stay really made all the difference and we would definitely book in again!

Mandy’s place felt like home! Welcoming and friendly, she makes a great host. Everything was clean and the amenities were well-thought-out in all details. Breakfast was delicious! I found the surroundings to be quiet enough for a deep sleep. As a last note, her tap water really is exceptional. Don’t forget to fill up your water bottle before you leave! :)

We stayed here two nights & felt very rested; Deborah was a lovely natural host, making feel at home, including giving us a mixed continental breakfast. All facilities were ideal for a comfortable stay & there was a kindness & generosity to everything, including unlimited wood for the stove, TV in our room as well as in a spacious lounge. Considering we were sharing Deborah's home we had a good amount of privacy & independence.

Carol is a wonderful host, her home is cosy, and she is so kind and helpful. A late arrival on my first night was no problem. The bed was super comfortable, the area so peaceful and Carol so welcoming and very interesting to talk to. I really appreciated breakfast and some tea in my flask for my onward journey. Easily reached by bus from York Station (& centre) to Acomb then a short and easy walk. Highy recommended.
