Had a great time at Owl Barn. Much bigger than in the photos and lovely views from almost all windows. Plenty of games for our children. Very comfy beds. Really good-sized kitchen. Super convenient for many locations, even the hospital in Barnstaple which we had to visit twice during our stay! Pizza night was lovely. The outdoor games for the children were just what we were after. Alex was very helpful, including with some things that had nothing to do with her role as a host - very much appreciated.

Great value for a lovely quiet retreat for the weekend, easy to get around the North Cornish coast from the location. Accomodation was spotless and very comfortable, would happily stay again as it offered all we need.

We had a gorgeous stay at Shuttaford Farm. There are so many lovely touches in the barn that you feel right at home, but it all feels very special and thoughtful. Fran was a terrific host - responsive and friendly, and even leant me a spare pair of walking boots when I realised I’d left mine at home! The surrounding area is just stunning - highly recommend a walk through Hembury Woods. Highly recommended for a family trip.

Fantastic facilities and excellent value for money

We have just returned home after our fabulous stay at the Long Barn. My 3 boys (10,6,4) had the time of their lives this holiday, with a huge thanks to Sara and Rob for helping to make our stay in Cornwall really special. The barn itself is beautiful, in gorgeous surroundings and spotlessly clean. The decoration is tasteful and homely, with fresh local flowers in each room. We were treated to a new wood fired hot tub, which we enjoyed in the peaceful surroundings whilst gazing at the stars at night. Every morning the boys were able to feed the farm animals, with Rob, who was so kind and patient with our children. The boys spent lots of time playing in the play barn, making friends with the other children staying at the site and making use of the brilliant games and activities, we had to bribe them to leave at the end with promises to return! Being in such a fab location with access to the stunning Cornish countryside and local towns made this holiday one of the best ever.

The surroundings were lovely and a large enclosed garden was great for the dog and our 3 children. we had many a happy night in the hot tub. Lots of things for the kids to play with. We drove to all the local beaches would say most things are within an hour's drive and would recommend watermouth castle as a day out if you have kids!

Beautiful place to stay. Kim been very welcomed,very polite. She made home made cake for my daughter's birthday. Absolutely loved to stay there. My daughters was over the moon,seeing and feeding the chickens, that made her day for 110% Thank you for having us :))))

The cottage is in a lovely location with great views from one of the double bedrooms and the conservatory and driveway. It felt very homely with the fire very useful, comfy sofas, thick stone walls. Kitchen is a little small but has everything needed, and has a spacious dining area attached. Comfortably fits 6, even 7 with sofa bed, though the two single bed mattresses feel a bit old. It was at a discounted price however with some more work said to be needed. Lovely woodland walk on the doorstep and coast very close. Very quiet and peaceful. Didn’t find pre-warned damp much of an issue. Amy was helpful and attentive though being in a different time zone. Appreciated the private space. A good find.

My partner never stops working and never switches off so for his birthday I wanted to surprise him with a night away from everything. Pear Tree cottage did not disappoint! It is the most beautiful place, so peaceful and tranquil. Pete and Lucy left a little welcome note which was a lovely personal touch. Everything was just perfect for the duration of our stay and I left with one very happy, and very relaxed birthday boy. Thank you so much Pete and Lucy, we would love to return again one day if you’ll have us 🫶🏼

We have had the perfect weekend at Owl hut! The hut really is out of this world exceptionally clean very well presented with the lovely little added extras. Nat and Mark have both been so lovely! We look forward to returning we highly recommend!

Claire was the most amazing host from start to finish, all the beautiful touches in the shepherds hut were just so well designed and thought out, including a lovely bottle of fizz. The hot tub was all lit and ready for us to get in as soon as we arrived., we visited a couple of the local pubs which were absolutely delightful serving beautiful food. I totally recommend the Plough and the Hood inn, both only a couple of minutes away. The location of the Shepherds hut was just perfect far enough out of the way it was so peaceful and quiet but close enough to only be 20 minutes away from the M5. We have recommended this to a few of our friends and we will definitely be returning. Thank you for making the stay so perfect.

The Victorian Farmhouse was an excellent venue for a large family reunion. The place was spotless and had all the things we needed (adults and children) to have a great holiday - thank you

Our few days here were amazing, the weather was beautiful which just made the whole experience even better, the views are insane and the log burner inside was so cosy, we also used the hot tub, bbq and the outdoor heater and we’re all bonuses to the already amazing barn. Never thought I’d wake up to the sound of cows but let me tell you, it’s definitely something you’ll have to do once and have a coffee outside with them was just astonishing! Great communication and answered all questions promptly, will definitely come back!

The pods are as advertised. Compact, obviously, but well equipped and comfortable. Lovely view and the location is well placed to get to much of the North Devon coast. We would love to have stayed longer. Probably works best if, as in our case, friends or family have the other pod.

We had the most wonderful stay with Elaine and Simon, who were the perfect hosts and became great friends with our kids (who want to go back immediately). They were kind enough to take the girls around the farm every morning, which the girls adored (and we also loved!). The barn was perfect - exactly how it looks in the pictures, immaculately clean, perfectly set up with everything you could need. We could not have had a more lovely holiday and are so very grateful to our super lovely hosts.

A beautiful rural retreat, cosy cabin with all the amenities needed for a quiet get away. A car is needed if you want to explore surrounding towns, beaches and countryside as it’s in a remote location. The host made us feel very welcome, was vey friendly and happy to share places to visit during our stay.

Great couple of days away.... So peaceful.... Wonderfull accommodation with enclosed rear garden for the dogs..... Thank you for being flexible with the doggies..... Much appreciated 😊

A beautiful place to stay. Stunning beams in the bedroom, very well restored, spotless modern bathroom with infa red sauna and electric shower. Lots of wildlife can be heard at night. Fantastic wood burner with under floor heating downstairs. Easy walk to Exford. Great village shop with all you need and 2 pubs. We drove to Withypool and walked to Tarr Steps which was an 8 mile round trip but a great excursion in glorious late February sunshine. Lovely view from the garden at the pub at Tarr Steps and the food was good too. We love Exmoor as it is an unspoilt gem with so much peace and nature to surround yourself in. Everyone you meet is friendly which also helps. Photos of this place do not do it justice!

Second stay here, it’s lovely and peaceful. Perfect for two couples and a pooch. Beautiful view in the garden. Barbara is a helpful friendly host

The house is lovely, perfect for our family group to attend a wedding at Upton. Spotlessly clean , well equipped, comfy beds , lots of space we felt completely at home. Delicious home made cake waiting for us when we arrived. Highly recommended

Amazingly beautiful location, it felt so peaceful! The accommodation was perfect, they have clearly put a lot of thought into what you'll need and how you'll use the place. The alpacas are fabulous! They are so fun to feed! Thank you so much for an awesome stay x

what a fantastic place! the cabin is beautiffuly decorated, squeaky clean and very comfortable, fully equipped with everything you could need. both beds are super comfy. the hot tub and fire pit made evenings an absolute pleasure. it was so quiet and peaceful. lovely walks nearby. highly recommend!

We had the most wonderful stay here! The location is incredibly peaceful, surrounded by beautiful countryside—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The instructions to find the cabin were very clear, and there was lots of useful info provided by Michael and Caroline that made our stay easy and comfortable. The cabin itself is cozy and well-equipped with everything in the kitchen, bathroom etc being very new and modern. There were so many thoughtful touches throughout the place - we absolutely loved the homemade jam! The bed was super comfy, and the whole place had such a warm and welcoming vibe. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat!
