We had a wonderful Easter weekend in Salisbury! The home was cozy, beautifully kept, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The location was perfect—peaceful, yet just a short drive to town centre in salisbury to the cathedral and lovely local spots. Perfect for those who want a country lane and country trail walk to stonehenge! Our host was incredibly welcoming and helpful, making sure we felt right at home. We’d happily come back again—highly recommend to anyone visiting the area!

We didn't want to return home as we had had the perfect stay. This lovely little shepherd's hut surrounded by beautiful farmlands, was just what we'd hoped for and it didn't disappoint! Our hosts Peter and Rachel, were very responsive to our needs, although, gave us our privacy and let us explore the surrounding areas. The hut had lots of little touches to it that made it feel homely and cute, although, functional and great use of a small space. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the hut had heating, wifi and a range of options on the tv after a tiring day of adventures! Excellent stay, would absolutely return, thank you! I spent a month at this countryside retreat, and it truly felt like home. Nestled in a stunning valley, the hut offers breathtaking views and a peaceful escape. Waking up to rolling hills and sheep grazing nearby made each morning feel special. The hosts, Karen and Brian, were incredibly kind and welcoming—always ready to help with anything needed. They went above and beyond to make the stay exceptional. Five-star hosts! The hut itself is modern yet cozy, with thoughtful eco-friendly touches. The wool duvet and mattress were not only comfortable but also a nod to sustainability. For anyone seeking a break from city life, this is the perfect retreat. The sounds of birds and sheep enhance the peaceful, nature-filled atmosphere. Whether hiking, taking long walks, or relaxing in the hot tub, it’s a place to truly switch off. Ideal for a romantic getaway—secluded, serene, and surrounded by nature. Highly recommend for recharging and reconnecting with nature.

We had a lovely 2 night stay at the hut. Fiona was a really great host who came out to us even though it was late and raining! The hut was super warm on arrival and it has an internal heater and towel rail which is nice. It was also nice to be welcomed with some baked goods which we enjoyed the next morning. The bed was super comfy and we slept really well. The hot tub was nice to relax in… you get all the stuff provided for it which is good and on previous experiences this isn’t always the case. We used the Fire pit and you get some cushions to use which are under the bed and extra blankets which again is really nice. It’s exceptionally well thought out and the lord of added extras make it really nice. Would deffo return

Thanks for such a wonderful stay! Such a cosy clean and comfy cabin with everything we needed! Was perfect to wind down for the weekend with the outside space and hot tub with a beautiful view. Blankets were provided to cosy up around the camp fire and marshmallows which was such a nice addition. The goats were amazing, food to feed them and they were so friendly. Everything you need for a weekend away. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!!

A wonderful stay. Mike and Anna are the perfect hosts, I cannot fault their communication and help with settling us in. The accommodation is peaceful and serene with a stylish mix of old and new. We had a truly lovely stay, thank you x (Minor note, the track to access the property is narrow, steep and bumpy. Would suggest a 4x4. A lowered car may struggle. Hope that’s helpful and certainly not a criticism.)

Myself & my daughter had a very memorable stay in the shepherd’s hut. It was so lovely & cosy & having the hot tub for the evening was great fun. Overall it was a lovely experience. Thank you!

Our stay was perfect - the hut is even better than described, immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and set in the most peaceful surroundings. Every little detail had been thought of to make us feel completely at home. We were welcomed with fresh milk, eggs, tea, and coffee, which was such a lovely touch and made settling in feel so easy and thoughtful. It was clear a lot of care had gone into creating a relaxing space for guests. We left feeling refreshed - highly recommend!

Jenny was a great host! The Cabin was spotless on arrival! Very cosy and well equipped... As previous guests had noted the bed is super comfy!! The outside area for dogs is brilliant. Definitely recommend the Culm Valley Inn! Fantastic atmosphere - delicious home cooked food - 15 min walk. Strand Stores serve an incredible breakfast and sell high quality local produce! We also enjoyed a nice day out at Sidmouth beach..

We absolutely loved our stay here! Such a perfect little escape with lots of very thoughtful gestures which made the stay even more special!

Absolutely loved our stay. Having our morning coffee with the deer and the views of the heath was a petstart to the day. Even though it rained one of the days it was cosy and we stayed in the hut playing cards. Beds were super comfy and we slept really well. the experience was great!

The stay was absolutely amazing, lots of places to explore around and Judith was very friendly, we will be coming again 😊

We loved our stay at the Shepherds Hut, the surroundings were so peaceful, tranquil and beautiful. Feeding the fish was so fun! Highly recommend for a getaway.

We had the most wonderful time at Danette’s shepherds hut. The views, wildlife and peace were incredible and the location was great for trips out with the dogs. We loved the attention to details in the hut, it made the experience very homely. Danette’s communication with us was great, she kept us up to date from start to finish. I am already looking forward to returning on our next trip!

We had such a beautifully stay in The Shepards Hut. It was spotlessly clean and smelt gorgeous! I had booked our stay as suprise to celebrate my partners 30th Birthday, as we were arriving in his birthday, Amanda had decorated the hut with birthday celebrations, banners and balloons, it was very special and kind of her! The hut is very cosey and has everything you need! Plus it is immaculate! Tea, sugar, milk and even marshmallows provided. The hot tub is fantastic! Heated ready for our arrival and Amanda checked in midway through our stay to ensure we had enough wood to continue enjoying it. The hut is situated in a secluded area, very private and perfect to enjoy nature! Also, perfect for our dog who loved his stay!! Thank you for a beautiful stay and for a birthday for my partner to remember! P.s. we loved meeting Maple and Syrup, the pet pigs, and they were very pleased to receive our leftovers!!! Will definitely be recommending!!!

Lovely weekend away with beautiful views and a very peaceful area. We loved staying here at felt very relaxed. The hot tub was lovely especially at nighttime with the clear skies. The hut had everything we needed and had plenty of space. Would defiantly come here again.
