West Frankfort : locations de vacances

Great place to get away for a while and close to trails and Shawnee. They accommodated a change in my travel plans and I had an enjoyable trip, despite the bad weather.

My Mom, sisters and I recently stayed at Dave and Sara's 'Lake of Egypt Hilltop Retreat' for a girls' weekend, and we had a great time! The cozy property has beautiful views of Lake of Egypt and it's really a serene setting. The accommodations were great for our group. We really loved the open-concept living and dining area where we were able to gather comfortably to chat, share meals, and relax after exploring the area. The fully equipped kitchen made meal prep a breeze. We weren't able to fully enjoy the outdoor space with the deck and firepit due to the bitterly cold temps and rain, but we hope to be able to enjoy both during our next stay. The retreat's location was ideal, offering a peaceful escape while still being close (20-min drive) to plenty of activities. We loved exploring the nearby trails in Shawnee National Forest and some cute breakfast spot and antique shops. This was the perfect setting for quality time with my Mom and sisters. Kate was by far the most communicative , kind, helpful host I have experienced. I was driving 9 hours in inclement weather to see an elderly friend in the hospital. She sent me meteorological reports and checked on me twice during my drive. I felt very safe and comfortable in her clean, quiet, sweet home with several very nice touches to the decor. I felt relaxed in a situation that could have been very stressful, thanks to her and her lovely place.

We arrived on Thanksgiving Day where almost everything was closed so you can imagine our surprise having Milk in the fridge so our daughter could have hot chocolate on a cold day when we arrived. The place was ready for us as we arrived. Even though it was cold we still enjoyed going outside by the lake for a little bit to enjoy the view and the lake. The house location was great, peaceful and quiet, exactly what we needed. Thank you for a wonderful stay and would definitely visit again, this time when it's warm and sunny so we can enjoy more of the outside lake life.

The Red Barn was a cozy and comfortable home. The location was perfect for what we needed; a quiet place and plenty of room.

Can't say enough about our weekend at Brian's house. Fantastic! He was incredibly responsive and generous. We were there for a wedding and 6 of us stayed and had a lovely time. Thank you!!!

Phyllis was wonderful, kind, and inviting. check in and out was quick and painless. furniture is comfortable and she allows pets for a still reasonable price! plenty of space for the dogs to run and the place is perfectly placed far enough away from the hustle and bustle in town but close enough to run to the store if you need somrthing!

Bell is one of the most Caring host that i have met. She gave really clear instructions on how she likes things done before and after your stay. Again thank you Bell our stay was excellent.
