The venue is great. Often when booking for a large group, you find that while there are enough beds to cater for 10+ people, amenities such as the kitchen are unable to handle that many. Idwala, on the other hand, has a massive kitchen plus many braai areas plus a lot of dining seating, which made our stay all the more comfortable.

What a wonderful weekend away we had at Linda and Peter’s place. It had everything we could have wanted. A lovely, easy to work in kitchen. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The beds were so comfy. The view was wonderful from the stoep. I haven’t seen so many stars in a long time. While our hosts ensured we had everything we needed, they gave us privacy. I have no doubt we will head back there sometime in the new year.

We had a lovely time at Sigrid's place. We did struggle a bit to find it (in the dark), and we were warned about arriving after dark, but still felt that there were some key turns where signage could've been helpful. Apart from that, it is a great place to stay, spacious, neat, clean, and private, in a beautiful natural setting. The fireplace outside is also great. We will go back whenever there is another opportunity.

Hilde is de meest gastvrije host die ik ooit heb ontmoet! De communicatie met Hilde en haar co-host is geweldig. Wij voelden ons helemaal thuis op deze geweldige plek. De weg er naar toe kent wel wat uitdagingen maar in de omgeving zijn leuke eetgelegenheden. Een uitstekende plek om de omgeving van Johannesburg en de Cradle te verkennen of om gewoon lekker niets te doen en te genieten van de rust!

We had a wonderful stay. The house was exactly what we needed and we couldnt have asked for better hosts. They were there if we needed anything and they were very friendly and welcoming. 10/10 would recommend to anyone and we will definitely be back!

Isak's place Exceeded our expectations, definitely worth it, we felt right at home. Nice, clean and quite, we will definitely be coming back.

A group of friends and I stayed at Jackal Hill for a couple days and it was fantastic! We had the whole property to ourselves so it felt very private and we did not have to worry about bothering anyone. Stacey's communication was brilliant - she responded to my messages well in time and was always so friendly. Melody and Joseph were on the property and were ever so helpful. We had to call Melody a bunch of times and she always responded and helped where she could. There were definitively flies, but you just have to keep the place clean of food waste which is what attracts them. Unfortunately, we did have an issue with bats occupying one of the chalets which we subsequently couldn't really use, so don't forget to close your windows before dark. Wonderful place, serene, beautiful, calm long walks, and a fantastic host, agent, and owner!

Tebogo’s place was very cutesy! It exceeded my expectations. Check in was seamless and Tebogo’s response time was too good!

Brenda is always accessible, courteous and very helpful. The place is great and child friendly.

It was a modern and spotless place in a very safe, small complex. A very well organized place with comfortable beds. It is in a lovely neighborhood with lots of shops and restaurants to choose from. Wifi was good. Would definitely stay there again.

Phuthi is one of the greatest hosts I've ever had. He was responsive. No time of day was ever an issue with him, when it came to communication. Very friendly individual who was always ready to help. I highly recommend him if you need a place in and around Roodepoort.

My stay was most enjoyable. The apartment was clean and well looked after and the furnishings lovely. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need and bathroom facilites a standout....love the shower! The host was extremely quick helpful and responsive to all our requests. The garden, surroundings, swimming pool and outdoor facilities are exceptional. Looks exactly like the photos and true to the description. I can say without any hesitation that we will definitely stay here again. Worth the 5 stars and the money spent.

I had an issue with my check in dates as I checked in the wrong dates mistakenly, however you were eager to understand and help. I would recommend the place without a doubt,more especially for the convenience, cleanliness and hospitality.

This place is the perfect escape for anyone looking to relax and feel truly at home. It's peaceful, quiet, and incredibly welcoming. The space was spotless, and Zingisa, the host, was exceptionally friendly. During our stay, one of my kids accidentally broke a glass or two—luckily, no one was hurt—but when we offered to cover the cost, Zingisa kindly refused, saying it was all about "honesty." To me, though, it was much more than just a generous gesture; it was a reflection of the warm and thoughtful hospitality we experienced. We truly appreciated it.

We had a very lovely stay at Anya’s place. Her place felt like home - the place had everything you could think of at home and it matched the description and looks exactly like the pictures. What I liked the most about the place is how secure it is and they allowed us to use their BBQ grill. I highly recommend this place!

Great Host

Yea his place never disappoints always on point loving everything and the hosts. I will recommend Richard’s place to anyone.

My partner and I have been using Airbnb in JHB for the past 2.5 years and this was by far our favourite place. We spent about 5 months there and absolutely loved it. The complex itself is well located, close to shopping malls and very safe. The green area right in front of the apartment is a real blessing and great for spending time outdoors. The neighbours are friendly. The apartment is very spacious and has everything you can think of. Daphne is very kind and super helpful. We highly recommend this place and would love to come back if the opportunity presents itself.
