We had a wonderful stay at driftwood: a great location adjacent to the beach; within walking distance to a wonderful pub (the Lifeboat Inn) and right next to a bus stop with a regular service to Chichester. We spent a couple of days cycling around Selsey, exploring the surrounding area and the location was perfect for our needs, providing a comfortable, secure and tranquil retreat for us at the end of the day. Nick was a great host, who was attentive when we needed it, and left us some basic provisions to get us started, which was very much appreciated. We will come again!!

I had a wonderful stay at this lovely Airbnb! The house was exactly as described, with all the essentials provided, making it a perfect place to stay for the whole week. The location was excellent, with all the main shops within walking distance and easy access to key tourist spots in Portsmouth. Monika was very responsive to messages and quickly arranged visitor parking permits for us.

Sue's place was available after our previous booking fell through the day before (see separate review on another popular accommodation provider!) Sue's response was in complete contrast to our previously poor experience - she was responsive, friendly, kind and compassionate. Only two things to mention - she forgot to send the exact address so we drove up and down West Lane several times before we found the accommodation The lock needs attention as it needed a particular technique to get it out

A great stay. Very clean, well decorated and well equipped. You couldn't ask for more.

The accommodation has real personality and was very original in its design. Everything we needed was there and access was easy. I particularly liked being able to walk straight on to the lagoon from the property via the back gate. The owner was friendly and not intrusive. Loved the estuary and the birds. Thank you for a lovely break.

I rather loved my stay here in Southsea, opposite Ravelin Park, and close to so many attractions. Portsmouth Museum is just across the road, the seaside about 10 mins walk, the Historic Dockyard and gunwharf not much further. The apartment itself had all facilities and appliances anyone might want. It was clean, warm and fairly quiet, considering the busy traffic. The wifi, telly worked fine. I prefer the lockbox for the key too. All in all, quite perfect. I would happily stay there again.

Such a lovely stay and beautiful accommodation. Mandy and Michael were very responsive and answered all the questions I had. Would definitely recommend to anyone wishing to stay in the area :)

We had a great stay at this property. The apartment is very spacious, comfortable and has a wonderful view from the living area. It is great to walk straight out on to the beach and we had some wonderful walks with our dog. The area itself lacks a nice centre but we had some good pub lunches in the surrounding area.

Had an incredible stay. The house is stunning with amazing views of the sea from the lovely living area and upstairs bedroom. Beth left us eggs, butter, bread and orange juice which was a lovely touch.

We had an excellent stay at Jonathan's place in Petworth over a couple of nights for my wife's birthday. Jonathan was very friendly and extremely responsive and sorted us out with some great local recommendations. The house is in a perfect location in the centre of petworth within walking distance of the restaurants, pubs and shops. We couldn't really fault anything about our choice to stay at Jonathan's. Thank you very much!

We had a fantastic stay here! Mary was super helpful and the place was immaculately prepared. The breakfast stocking made for a very nice touch, and the neighborhood is a nice area. Very good value for the money and I would highly recommend

Wir waren mit sieben Personen in der Unterkunft und hatten ausreichend Platz. Der Aufenthalt bei Dawn war angenehm. Das Haus ist schön und in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße gelegen. Dawn war für Rückfragen stets erreichbar. Insgesamt eine klare Empfehlung.

A cute little house straight onto the beach. Had everything we needed for our two night stay including kids toys, books, plates, cups etc. The boys loved the bunk bed. Carl was a great host and kept us updated with information needed for our stay. Even though it was wet and windy outside, we were cosy inside and already spoken about coming back in the spring/summer. Thanks Carl.

We are a group of 7 friends who wanted a night away. The house was really spacious, very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable day/evening. The house is close to local amenities, such as a cafe, pub and CO-OP. We would definitely stay again.

What a lovely house! So beautifully kept and exactly what we needed for a relaxing weekend away. Andrew was fantastic. Recommend The Wittering for Sunday lunch. Short walk to the beach and local shop. Particularly loved how comfortable the beds were and large the space was. Perfect for 6 adults and 2 dogs

We absolutely loved our stay in Seaview, having visited Seaview many times in the past, this was definitely the best place we have stayed. Across the road from the beach with a sea view from the balcony, we couldn't have asked for more. The house is the best equipped of any Airbnb we have stayed at in the past which helps so much when you're only away from home for a week. The kitchen had all of the equipment we needed and a cupboard full of herbs, spices etc. The house is beautifully decorated, with a lovely garden. Seaview is quiet, its not got any of the hustle and bustle of some other seaside towns, so is perfect for a quiet stay on a lovely beach, great for exploring rock pools and fishing, or a walk to Priory bay! The house has been recently refurbished to a very high standard, it's comfortable, relaxing and well equipped for the kids with enough TV stations and board games to keep them entertained when we got them in from the beach! We loved our stay, thanks Crispin!

Rob: Best host ever? Easily! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a personalised welcome card which – a touch that immediately set the tone for an exceptional stay. The directions to the property, the beach, and the woodland were so detailed, they were almost a mini-adventure in themselves! And on-tap filtered water? Pure genius! The property was clean and felt wonderfully homely. Rob’s communication was simply outstanding; he anticipated every need and answered every question before we even asked. He's like a host with superpowers. The private beach was the star of the show. The dramatic tides transformed the landscape twice daily, making it feel like we were experiencing two completely different beaches. It was truly magical. Plus, the friendly neighbours on the private estate added to the welcoming atmosphere. If you're looking for a relaxing escape with a host who goes above and beyond, this is it!

it was great to back at davids 2nd Christmas there which felt like home , he goes more than a mile to make you feel welcome if I could give him 11 out of ten I would cheers once again see you soon

Lovely quiet flat in South Ferring, walking distance to the beach, with the curry house, a small newsagents, and a small pub with a few local beers on tap. Walking distance to the Bluebird Cafe too! Ideal for a small family to have access to the beach.

We had a wonderful stay, the neighbourhood was safe and in walking distance to the Gunwharf Quays and the main high street. The apartment itself was tidy and clean. Would definitely recommend this apartment and stay again. Dan & Ning were so helpful and accommodating :)

We had a great weekend stay at Roman's Retreat. The flat is in a private road with a partial sea view. It is well located on the south coast of Hayling Island. We had great weather so were able to walk along the sea front with ease. On our first night we ate out in one of the local pubs, there were two very close by with other dining options. In the morning we nipped out to the convenience store (around the corner) and grabbed a coffee from one of the many coffee shops. The place has two spacious bedrooms and a large living room with two sofas. Everything you need for a couple or family of four. The bathroom and kitchen appear to be newly refurbished and therefore spotlessly clean. It's a first floor flat which benefits from a small balcony which I sat out on taking in the late September afternoon sun. We parked right outside in the private road which felt safe and secure. It's a great place for a visit to Hayling Island. Louise was a great host, very responsive. Thanks!

We had a wonderful time with the beach in easy strolling distance and an electric charging point for the car nearby it was a great break. Great Bistro Pub just around the corner.

a lovely little apartment that felt warm and welcoming. it was a joy to settle down and relax in front of the wood burner after my journey and it was ideally located for my needs. the bed was supper comfy and felt really luxurious. I would definitely recommend this flat and I'd definitely return!
