What a magical place! We adored our stay. Great location for a large group of people. Plenty of space for everyone and lots to do. Thank you Liz!

It was such a pleasant surprise arriving at Thomas accommodation and having this beautiful old Karoo farmhouse in a secluded, quiet area all to myself! A bonus was the use of a fully equipped kitchen and the air-conditioner in the room was a life-saver in the summer heat. I have no hesitation in giving this BnB 5 stars! There were six double rooms in the house and I was thinking it would be lovely to stay there with a group of friends one day.

Had a fantastic time at this charming house! It was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The location was quiet but close to local attractions. Highly recommend this spot for a comfortable, stress-free stay!

Ankommen, durchatmen, loslassen. Ou Waenhuis ist ein zauberhaftes Cottage, absolut ruhig und wunderschön gelegen in der weiten Landschaft der Kleinen Karoo. Gemütlich und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, mit vielen liebevollen Details. Nach einem langen Morgenspaziergang über das großzügige Gelände der Farm, oder entlang dem wundersamen Land-Art Pfad am Bach, lädt die schattige Stoop zum Verweilen ein. Hier entspannt der Geist, umgeben von der Schönheit der Landschaft und Heleens kreativem Ausdruck. Heleen und Karel sind die warmherzigsten Gastgeber, die einen aufs herzlichste willkommen heißen. Dies war unser zweiter Aufenthalt auf der Aswater Farm und wir werden wiederkommen.

Second stay. It's nice to be away from town. Game park along highway nearby has different antelope.

We stayed 2 weeks in Teresa's and Howard's cottage. They were wonderful hosts and we had a wonderful time. The location is very close to the wine lands (5 minutes by car to Lourensford or Vergelegen and there are many other's ). Supermarkets and good restaurants are just around the corner. In case you like to play golf there are a lot of opportunities near by. The cottage is clean and well equipped with all you need. The garden is just beautiful and we spent quite some time in this beautiful garden having fun with their pets. In case you need support you will get it. I loved the regular conversations at night with Howard where I got a very good overview of South African history and culture and very good tips on where to go to.

I loved this little piece of bliss, I can honestly say that it is one of the best places I have been to. The furnishings and bed linens are pristine, the beds are exceptionally comfortable and layered in many wonderful blankets (it was rather chilly when we were there). The kitchen is well equipped and the surroundings magnificent. I often find that dog friendly homes are a little worn in which is understandable I suppose but that is very far from the reality here. Wilhelm is an incredibly welcoming and friendly host. We just loved it and will do our best to always stay here if there is availability.

Wir hatten wundervolle Tage auf der Farm. Das Haus ist einfach sehr schön eingerichtet und der Garten lädt zum verweilen ein. Hier kann man tagsüber entspannen in den Pool gehen und abends an der Feuerstelle sitzen. Von der Terrasse aus hat man einen wunderbaren Blick auf die Pferde. Von der Unterkunft kann man viele Unternehmungen in der Umgebung machen. Leider haben wir Angela nicht persönlich kennen gelernt aber wir waren stets über Messenger in Kontakt. Sie war sehr hilfsbereit und half uns bei allen Anliegen so zum Beispiel eine perfekte Babyausstattung im Haus. Vielen Dank für alles. Wir wären gern noch länger geblieben aber unsere Reise geht nun weiter.

The suite was spacious, homely and had the most beautiful outside views. The host replied timeously and made sure that the stay was comfortable for us. The staff was also very friendly. Kelvin was so friendly and respectful. He made fire for us everyday effortlessly.

What an amazing place to stay! Very beautiful and relaxed environment. Super private, well decorated and everything you would need to have a nice time. Simon is a wonderful host, very flexible with check-in and personally welcoming you when you arrive. Simon facilitated a morning hike and had great stories to tell, very much recommend doing this even if you’re not into hiking a lot - its worth it!

Incredible weekend away with friends. The house had everything we needed and was thoughtfully decorated.

A brilliant spot to stay if you are visiting Cape Town. The space is lovely and private, and located in a beautiful suburb.

The garden cottage is on a beautiful farm, views and scenery was breathtaking! the cottage is private and lovely. Th firewood hot tub was easy to use and felt like heaven, I did not want to get out. we had an amazing stay, and will definitely be returning. thanks so much to the friendly and helpful host, Vanessa. 🫶 :)

Had a wonderful stay. Accommodation was very nice and was a good place for a large group including kids. Would definitely recommend and would go back again.

Great location just off the main street in Greyton, yet quiet and very private. Large, comfortable and the house stays cool even on the hottest of days. Comfortable outside living, plenty of space inside and the inverter keeps the lights, the internet and one of the two fridges on during load-shedding. The kitchen is well-equipped and Leana is a very responsive host. We had a really wonderful stay there.

We were very impressed with place, clean, very well equipped and exceeded our expectations.

This was a beautiful place to stay with family and our toddler. Our son loved running around and interacting with the horses. The freedom to walk anywhere on the farm was amazing. The sunsets every evening were breathtaking as well. Although a little chilly in the evenings, the house was clean and spacious. And extremely toddler friendly which was a massive win. The bath mat and high chair provided made our stay even more comfortable. We also enjoyed a braai both nights. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. We enjoyed every minute of being here! I would highly recommend this place.

Classic location for our big group of family and friends. Beautiful old homestead surrounded by nature. We'll be back.
