Wir haben es geliebt. Das Essen war mega lecker, die Sunsettour war magisch und die Gastgeber super freundlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt & können die Unterkunft und die herzlichen Gastgeber sehr empfehlen;)

Amazing location thanks Natalie we will definitely be back. Incredible views with direct access to Karatara river and Swartvlei. Beautiful kayaking or sailing spot with lots of birdlife. Simple facilities provided exactly as the description lists but you really don't need anything more.

A little gem in the woods… lovely to break away from city life and people… you might just find a rain spider lurking in the room but they are totally harmless and you can catch and release with the handy spider catcher provided. (For real) We didn’t find one! It was peaceful and beautiful!

absolutely great glamping-experience! We could observe and hear so many animals from our terrace - we loved it! Loads of different deers, birds and a even e turtle! And it was so quiet. And the Air-Con is great for hot days!

Absolutely loved staying here. Beautiful landscape outside your tent, breakfast on the balcony , lunch on the beach and dinners in the boma. Rasheed is great, always willing to help with a smile and and had a lovely chat with the Theresa about the farm history.We had lovely weather but there is always some wind which is great for those super hot days. Tent itself even in direct sun is always cool and been told in cooler months the evenings can get chilly. Do suggest a 4x4 so you can head to the beach and back when you want however rasheed is available to take you back and forth as well. Overall and great stay and look forward to visiting again!

I really enjoyed my short stay in the forest. My only recommendation is watch out for leaving any food in your tent- the monkeys managed to creep into my tent and steal a box of plums as well as some meds out my bag- I was warned! Keep food in a cooler box in the kitchen and anything edible hidden! Jim was super helpful when I arrived and I enjoyed my time. Thank you 🙏🏼

Paul was a great host. The accommodation was clean and fun for the family. Highly recommend it stay on Pauls farm.

This campsite is in a wonderful spot, it is spotless clean and host is friendly, helpful and knowledgable of the local area. It can be a stop off on Garden route or a base for a longer stay. We will be back ;-)

A peaceful stay with scenic views of the Swartvlei lake, although in close proximity to Sedgefield, it feels as if you are in the deep Wilderness away from the hustle and bustle of the cities and towns. Tents are very spacious and with a comfortable bed. For those early risers make sure to have your coffee/tea ready in hand to take in the breathtaking views of the Sunrise over the Swartvlei lake. A stay to remember and a stay to return to, a great little retreat in the Garden Route

The place is truly special – an oasis of luxury, completely secluded from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Every detail was thoughtfully designed to create a serene and unforgettable experience. Smith and Memory were the most incredible hosts, going above and beyond to make our stay even more exceptional. We couldn't have asked for a better getaway and will cherish the memories made here. Highly recommended!

Fantastic relaxing stay in the middle of nowhere. Absolutely beautiful surroundings and accomodation. Exactly what we needed.

We reizen veel, maar we hebben nog nooit op zo'n unieke plek gelogeerd. Oké, het verblijf is eenvoudig, maar de omgeving is werkelijk adembenemend. En eerlijk gezegd zou veel meer luxe ook niet passen in deze natuurlijke omgeving. Alles wat je echt nodig hebt is er en al het overbodige is er niet. Zo houd je de focus op wat echt telt: de unieke plek die je krijgt in een ongeschonden natuurgebied vol wilde dieren.

We had a lovely time at Frans and Sophia’s place. Bonus is the kolkol and monkeys who visited us! The views were spectacular, they were flexible and friendly. We wish we would’ve stayed longer! Can definitely recommend.

This place is a gem, it's beautiful and had everything we needed. it is a well maintained fully off the grid environment with friendly people who are really passionate about the sanctuary. The tour through the sanctuary is great, they really know their animals well and respect their natural behavior.

As a nature enthusiast, this place was exactly what I needed. Feels like you're deep in the forest with the sounds of the birds and the smell of wet greenery after the rains. Tranquil. Highlight - on our last night we spotted a genet in the trees! Totally recommend to those who love the bush but still want to be close to civilization.

One of the most incredible Airbnb experiences we have had to date. This spot is absolutely stunning - amazing location and the accommodation itself makes you feel instantly at home and relaxed. The excellent hospitality from Elzaan and her Team was just the start of a wonderful stay in this very special part of the country. We were a party of 4 avid cooks and could not have asked for a better equipped kitchen and braai area. The finishes and attention to detail throughout the premises are second to none and the tented bedrooms make you feel like you are at a luxurious bush lodge. The host very kindly included a game viewer vehicle with our booking - which made for great fun checking out different areas of the property from which to walk from each morning. Would 100% recommend a stay at J&J’s Doornrivier to restore the soul!

What a wonderful place a little piece of heaven. We loved walking on the farm and seeing all the farm animals. The tent was very nice, peace full with the river running under your patio. Wow loved every moment.
