First of all, a 1 o’clock check in started us off on a very happy note. Then, having room for each female to have her own bed made a for peaceful stay. The biggest thing was how much the space was warm, comforting, and full of character. The sliders provided a broad view of the lake. The kitchen with the open area to dining and front area provided an open concept feel to an older home while maintaining its true character. The tall cabinets contained every utensil/small appliance that we needed and more. We brought a bag of board games as we know what we like, but there was a great variety already there. While there was plenty of room, we felt “together” in that space. We can only imagine the beauty that arrives later in spring. Thank you for having us!

We were a group of ten family/friends, not really interested in local happenings or activities because we were just there for the weekend to stay at the house and relax and unwind. The living room couches and dining table were great; we had plenty of room to hang out together, and the downstairs space living room wasn't even needed. The kitchen is very well appointed, but it's pretty small, so not really able to fit more than one or two people at a time. The beds were comfortable and with a variety of bed sizes, accommodated our group nicely. We appreciated the nice furniture and decor, I think it made everyone feel relaxed along with a fire in the wood stove. Had a fire down the hill by the lake, and unfortunately it was too windy to use the upper deck and outdoor furniture. Vincent quickly answered any questions we had. We didn't get to use any of the summer amenities but the lake looked like it'd be inviting in the summer.

Spent a wonderful week during Christmas here with my adult son whom I hadn’t seen in years. Launa went above and beyond with making the home cozy and comfortable and the Christmas decor was more than I could have imagined. Launa allowed an early check in although I had an emergency which did not allow me to check in early but she offered me the option. Launa also allowed us a late check out which was very much appreciated. The only thing I wished was that the beds were a little less firm as I found them to be too firm but that’s just my preference. Very tranquil place and many memories were made. I would love to stay again perhaps during warmer months to enjoy the lake and outdoors but all in all it’s a beautiful home.

This place is a true gem! I came with my husband and kids (5 and 2.5). The house itself is clean and has plenty of places to chill together or alone. As described, it's more "rustic and eclectic getaway" than "luxury renovation," but that worked great for our style. My kids slept soundly in the downstairs bedroom (thanks for the dark curtains!) and my husband and I were comfortable upstairs. I recommend turning on the oscillating fan during the night. The lake itself is amazing. We swam off the dock, paddleboat-ed around and took the kayaks to the public beach. The public beach even has a toy share if you want to travel light! I'd recommend bringing water shoes (tevas, crocs, whatever) if you want to swim anywhere but the private beach as you'll find some plants and a few rocks. We brought lifejackets for our kids and used Karen's for ourselves. Every night we made dinner in the full kitchen, played some board games and watched a movie on the Apple TV. So great!

We enjoyed our stay at the house. Mitchell was very responsive and communication was easy. The house is near butternut and GB. Hopefully we will come back in the summer to enjoy the outdoors.

This really was a perfect stay with an incredible view! We had an amazing stay at this Airbnb! The view was absolutely breathtaking, just as shown in the pictures. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. The kitchen was spacious and well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals. Everything was exactly as described, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend!

We stayed for two nights in January and had a wonderful time. The house was perfect for our group (a family of 5, a family of 3, and a couple). We all had our own spaces and own bathrooms, with spacious common areas to hang out together. Adam was a great host who was very helpful, responsive, and up-front about everything. We look forward to staying again - maybe in the summer months next time so we can enjoy the lake as well.

Nice and clean. Quiet and secluded. Host responsive and actively invovled. The hot plate for cooking is very small but Everything works and room was easily warmed once we figured out the heater. Pretty expensive for how bare-bones it is, but if you are looking for a very quiet place to hole up in and work, might be worth the expense.

Thanks for the host making this place like home. Furnitures are well organized. My partner and I love the sofa in the living room. There is a big sofa and single arm chair sofa. It’s good for staying with partner to kiss cuddle and more. We love the well organized kitchen. Very well-equipped. They even have some stock of food, coffee and tea bags just in case if you are hungry in mid night. We came here for skiing trip. It’s just 15 min to Mt Snow, 1.5h to Okemo. Stratton is also around this area. Great location for mountain staycation.

This is a great place for vacation stay - clean and well maintained. Close to a lot of places, attractions, malls, and a variety of restaurants in the area. Joe is a great host - helped us with check in and made sure we are comfortable. We highly recommend!

The space was incredibly cute and cozy, and Janet was so welcoming and very responsive. The views were amazing, and the serene surrounding made it even better. It was a great break from the city. I really enjoyed my stay, I would definitely book again!!

We only had a short stay, but John was a great help letting us check in early - they clearly love their home and the town, offering annotated menus of local restaurants and info on many natural features to visit in the area. Delightful decor, many many plants, plenty of linens available, no shortage of room to lounge and relax. Parking was a cinch, checkout directions were clear and simple. Would stay again.

The place was wonderful. Very charming and homey, spotless with all the amenities and conveniences you could need. The information included in Joe’s binder gave great recommendations for meals and attractions within easy driving distance. We had never traveled to that area before and found the local scenery beautiful. Thanks for a lovely experience!

Feyza is an incredible host and her place is amazing! She was always quick so respond to questions and made sure we had an excellent stay. The house is extremely well stocked and the lake is beautiful. We loved the swim spa on the deck. This is one of the best Airbnbs I've stayed at.

It was wonderful! being lakeside with the help of the weather gods, it was PERFECT! Three decks ourside,kayaks avialable. Spectacular view ourside and from most windows inside. The resident duck tribe added to the natural beauty. Indoors, a clean, fresh feeling, comfortable furniture and beds. It was a home run as soon as we entered the door.

A very cute and beautiful place on the lake. Its a perfect place for a couple. We will definitely stay here again when we visit family in the area.

If you are looking for simplicity (which we were) this is the perfect place to. I’ve always wanted to stay at a lake house. We couldn’t have asked for more. Serene, tranquil, beautiful are the proper descriptions of the house and the area. We came to Connecticut to visit my daughter and family and they ended up coming to our place instead. Jason was extremely helpful when needed. We would definitely stay there again!

our stay at ellen’s cottage was private and peaceful. the space had everything needed to feel right at home, including a super comfy mattress!

We loved our stay at the cabin! It was clean, the kitchen was well stocked for cooking, and the location was beautiful. We stayed for a few days and celebrated our early family Christmas here. It ended up snowing, which made the surrounding Connecticut forest even more beautiful. We found the cabin cozy and peaceful, with the town just 10 minutes away for anything we’d need. I definitely plan to keep this listing in mind for next time I’m visiting family in Connecticut.

The cottage is a beautiful retreat on Cedar Lake, perfect for a little getaway! The place itself is cozy but with plenty of space for what we needed, and a gorgeous deck right on the water. Couldn’t get enough of the outdoor space! Quiet neighborhood and incredibly close to the restaurants and shops of Sturbridge. Amazing stay!

We have been going to Sandpond every year for as long as I can remember. We love the lake and the area. Claudia's cabins provide us the ability to join our family there and have our own space. We absolutely love it and are already looking forward to next year!!
