We had the most incredible stay at Mayen Estate! From the moment we arrived, Ross and Valerie made us feel so welcome. Ross was always helpful, polite, and attentive to every detail, ensuring we had everything we needed. Their hospitality truly made the experience unforgettable. I honestly don’t think I will ever forget the house and the stay at Mayen estate. The estate itself is beyond magical. Even in the depths of winter, when outdoor activities were limited, the sheer beauty and charm of the place were more than enough. The highlight for us was the hot tub—it was such a treat to relax in after a chilly day, adding a perfect touch of luxury to our stay. Every moment spent here felt like a dream. If you’re looking for a serene, magnificent escape where you’ll be cared for by amazing hosts, Mayen Estate is the place to be. We can’t recommend it enough and look forward to returning someday!

The best Airbnb we have ever stayed in. Beautiful location, cozy, relaxing and peaceful. Property had everything we needed. Stunning views from the Hot Tub. Host recommend booking a meal at local hotel and it was fantastic. Would highly recommend Brae Cottage.

The farmhouse is very spacious yet cosy too. It was a little difficult to find in the dark but Sophie guided us on the phone. The young adults in our family would have appreciated better WiFi connectivity than in just a few rooms but other than that we had a really enjoyable stay, close to our relatives in Forfar. Would definitely stay again.

Bekki was a great host, so friendly and helpful from initial contact to leaving. we stayed for 2 days as a family of 2 young kids who were amazed with the decor with the home that had everything and more. the tranquil garden, hot tub and tiki bar were stand out with my oldest having his birthday cake in the tiki bar making his day a bit more sepcial. the town centre being a short walk and beach not far makes it easy to get about. we would definitely come back and highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

We had a wonderful family break! We loved the outdoor space and the beds were super comfortable! We made use of the hot tub and BBQ and enjoyed days out to Stonehaven and St Cyrus beach.

My husband and I and our 20 year old daughter had a wonderful stay at Butler Cottage. The estate grounds are amazing with a mix of woodland and farm fields scattered over the hills. We enjoyed daily walks done and along the river. If your animal lovers like we are it was extra special. The Highland cows and sheep add beauty to the scenery, but the deer, hares, pheasants and other birds of prey really add the wow factor. The cottage is full of charm with an old world feel. It’s been very smartly renovated and decorated and is in great condition. We loved the farmhouse style kitchen which is open to a comfortable living room with high ceilings. The built in beds are beautifully done and although on the small side we enjoyed the authentic touch. The wood stoves on each end of the cottage work well to add extra warmth in the evenings. Ross was a gracious host. The place was with fresh flowers and a basket of fresh goods from the farm. He even had the fire started for the hot tub.

Our extended family have just had the pleasure of staying here for a long weekend. It provided a peaceful location for us all to unwind without any disturbance. The property was lovely and it is nice to see hosts invest in their property. Having stayed in many Airbnb's around the world, they are often lacking basic implements or only buying cheap crockery. If you are after a relaxing get away for your family then place this location on your wish list.

Our stay was flawless! From great food to an amazing, helpful host we had a great time. The Cottage was clean and welcoming and the host Alan spend time giving us food recommendations. Edzell is a lovely, quiet village with amazing restaurants and friendly people. Will definitely be back!

A lovely steading conversion, only a short drive/walk from Ballater. Spacious with large garden, well suited to dogs. Kitchen is well kitted out and everything needed is provided. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

My colleagues who were staying here passed on their great feedback. Sheila’s place was a great base for their work in the area all week and they would be happy to stay here again if they were back in the area. Thanks again!

Fantastic remote location with incredible views from the garden and sun room. Wonderfully well equipped kitchen. Photos do not do it justice. Ishbel is a great host and ensured we had everything we needed. Really great for the dogs too. Beautiful daffodils in the garden at this time of year. We would definitely come back.

Can we give it 6 stars? Amazing house and gardens in great surroundings with lovely views. Lovely private woodland and river walks from the house. No light pollution for star gazing. Absolutely all you would need for six people of all ages. They seem to have thought of everything. We’ll be back…..

This is an outstanding place for kids and furry friends. Sue and Jim could not have been more helpful or welcoming - the cottage is pristine, cosy and with all you need no matter the weather. The grounds are stunning; affording you real privacy and lots to explore and do from climbing trees to den making, and all whilst surrounded by nature. You are only 10 mins from Inverurie which has plenty of shops to meet your needs. A trip to the Old Post Office for brilliant cakes, Castle Fraser and Kemnay are worth a visit as is the Pit Stop for a great fry up and the Gordon Highlanders museum is perfect for a raining day. Easily the most pet friendly place we have ever stayed.

The Bothy is a great place from which to explore the local area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would recommend.

Great home that suited us perfect for our stay in Aberdeen, location was perfect for walking around, lots of parking options and very quiet and peaceful inside. Gillian was super helpful.

Lovely cosy home from home. Comfortable beds, warm under floor heating, big living room, lovely views.

The cottage was lovely, well appointed and very well maintained. The bedrooms were spacious and there was lots of living space that allowed the family to get together or have some space. We enjoyed playing the games in the lounge. As a host Marion was friendly, responsive and very helpful. The welcome goods were appreciated and the cake was absolutely delicious.The cottage is well located for exploring Stonehaven and the surrounding area. As a family we had a wonderful time and would recommend Clerkswell Cottage.

We loved staying at Kevin’s space! The views were incredible, the air bnb was cozy and comfortable and felt like home! Kevin & Ericka were so kind to let us come by early to be able to bring our luggage and groceries in as well! We had a beautiful stay and stopped by Gannet’s both days for coffee / breakfast, hiked in Cairngorms and dined in Braemar, ventured to Stonehaven to see the Dunnotar Castle, and visited the city of Aberdeen! Kevin’s location was the perfect central spot for all our adventures!

Our young family absolutely loved Kathy’s cottage. It was the perfect place for our long weekend stay in Aberdeenshire - located in the peaceful, calm countryside but also a convenient short drive into nearby towns and amenities. The home itself was so clean, spacious and comfortable - with lots of added bonuses like games and dvds for the children. Our kids also loved being able to play outside on the grass area with the trampoline, slide and football goal too. Can see why this place is rated so highly on Airbnb - deservedly so.

Tom had a wonderful stay at this apartment! The space was clean and well-maintained, and everything he needed was provided. The host was very responsive and helpful, making the check-in process smooth and easy. The location is also fantastic, with his work sites just a short distance away, making it a convenient spot for his trip daily to and from work. He would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-located stay!

This was our second visit and hopefully won’t be the last, sister cottage is like a home from home in a perfect environment to relax and recharge. The property and grounds are so beautiful, wildlife surround you, we were lucky enough to see the pheasants, deer, hare and even a woodpecker through the window. There is everything you need in the house and so many added extras which make you feel so very welcome. This time my Dad came along and also fell in love with the place, the house is perfect for couples as well as families with plenty of space although there were arguments over who got the amazing circular chair!😀 We have friends who live locally so will be looking to return to Lundie soon.
