We needed a place to stay that was local to Ballymahon at short notice for a family occasion. Alisha’s home was just the ticket. Very convenient for Ballymahon and for visiting family in Keenagh, the property was absolutely outstanding. The first thing of note was that the photos of the property do not do it justice. The kitchen is open plan and has everything you could possibly need with quality products throughout. The downstairs shower room is beautiful and fantastically appointed. The living room is very cosy with a huge fireplace. There’s also a very interesting history of Barry which is well worth a read. All the bedrooms were very comfortable (beautiful linen) with the ensuite being particularly useful. Plenty of storage too! Finally Alisha’s communication was absolutely first class. From the time that I booked until check out Alisha was always responsive to queries & was proactive about making sure we were ok. All in all I would not hesitate in recommending & would stay again.

Christine has been an amazing host. Her house is incredible and very comfortable. Me and my friends were looking for a private place which would host a few families with kids. This place delivered it and then some! We also had a small baptism ceremony on sunday morning and I have to say the fireplace room felt like a chapel. Very high ceiling and big windows with lots of light coming in. We loved our weekend there and would for sure come back!

I stayed at Carmel's place a few years ago and have often wanted to return. This time we stayed at Carmel's place with a large group of mums and our kids. We had wonderful time and would love to give even more stars as Carmel and Fintan went above and beyond anything expected from and air BnB host. The location was great in a rural setting and safe and secure so we felt our kids were safe running around. The cleanliness and facilities were second to none and their were so many extra personal touches that made our stay so comfortable including taking into account food preferences for breakfast and leaving us some lovely treats. Some quotes from the other mums show how pleased we really were: Carmel was so thoughtful. When they saw how many kids there were they power washed and sanitised some extra toys for them to play with which was a nice touch. Carmel went above and beyond with the extras (toiletries, slippers, dressing gowns, breakfast, treats), we really weren't expecting that. And she seemed happy to host a load of children which lots of places are not. Absolutely the best air BnB I’ve stayed in for all the little extras, the pony rides were fantastic….the slippers & toiletries etc. It was a great space for kids & families. I didn’t feel worried about letting the kids roam for a bit… The super stocked fridge 👍🏼 the electric front gate made it feel safe as well and the ground level trampoline was a major hit with all 😁

Amazing peaceful stay in an amazing countryside location. Lots of activities nearby, we had a brilliant, relaxing weekend at the cottage. The hosts were super responsive and helpful.

What a brilliant stay. The house is amazing and so big, spacious and clean. Very close to the town and had everything we could have needed in it. Amazing value for money. Russel was an brilliant host who instantly responded to any messages or queries we had. Thank you, we will be back same time next year.

Saskia's home is just perfect and they're the perfect host! Saskia communicated frequently, clearly and was so friendly. The house was immaculate, and cozy. We booked it so that we could be in Ireland for Christmas with our family. It was twenty minutes from Mullingar - an easy quick drive. The house was so spacious. At no point did we feel on top of each other - as would have in a hotel room. I thoroughly enjoyed waking up and stepping out the front door every morning with a cup of tea to take in the fields. The area is so tranquil and quintessential Ireland. I would recommend this home to EVERYONE!!! Anytime we go back to Ireland we will be booking Saskia's home!!! WE LOVED IT!

Lorna's apartment is absolutely perfect! Such a wonderful stay! My husband and I were traveling from the US to attend a wedding at Mount Druid which is right next door to Lorna's apartment. I highly recommend booking this place if you are attending an event at Mount Druid or even if you're only interested in exploring the town. The apartment was extremely clean, very comfortable and was very large making it feel like our own sweet cottage for the weekend. It has everything you could ever need and more as Lorna left us some lovely items to cook for breakfast which was just an amazing and thoughtful gift. Getting in was very easy and you are able to park right outside of the home. We ventured one evening to the pub across the street and had such a wonderful time visiting with locals and enjoying a pint. We absolutely loved our stay and hope to one day come back for a visit. Peaceful location so very relaxed. Plenty of space for our family (two adults and four children). Good to have a kitchen to use.

Declan's house is very clean and cozy. My work colleagues travel to Dublin and Declan has been very helpful about this ! Will definitely recommend and go back again.

This property is in a stunning location, surrounded by horses, rolling hillsides, and fascinating monastery ruins. The house was spotless, warm, and well-equipped with heating, a television, and even a washing machine. The bed and high-quality mattress were so comfortable we wished we could take them home! The bathroom was fantastic, with a power shower and an abundance of towels. Our thoughtful hosts left fresh juice, blueberries, and cupboard essentials – we’d have been fine even if we arrived empty-handed. They were lovely, engaging people who shared fascinating local stories and made exploring the area effortless. The value for money was superb, and we only wish we could have stayed longer. This is the perfect place to relax and enjoy Ireland's beauty. Highly recommend, whether you’re passing through or planning a holiday. Make a point of booking this place, it's a hidden gem. Thanks to Grainne & John, we look forward to visiting again.
