My family’s weekend getaway was everything we hoped for. Connie’s place was easy to find, spotless and matched 100% the description. We enjoyed the play area, the outside fire place and of course the kayak. The area was peaceful and pleasant. My younger children enjoyed the board games and ping pong table very much. Overall, Connie’s place was amazing and I will absolutely come back!

I stayed here with my three kids for a little getaway, and we had the best time. The place was super clean and spacious, and the modern decor and finishes were clearly chosen with care—it just felt really good to be there. The game rooms were such a fun touch, each with its own theme, and the kids were obsessed! One of our favorite parts was the scavenger hunt—it was such a fun and unexpected surprise, and it gave us a memory we’ll definitely hold onto. The host was incredibly kind, polite, and respectful. Overall, it was just a great experience and a really special trip with my kids.

This location was perfect for us. We came for a car show at Maryland international raceway, which was only about 30 to 40 minutes away from this air bnb. Lots to do and good area👍🏼.

The location was ideal—just a short walk to the beach, great restaurants, and beautiful waterfront views. We spent our days exploring and relaxing, and the evenings unwinding on the porch, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. The home had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including a well-stocked kitchen, comfy furniture, and reliable Wi-Fi. The host was communicative and provided great recommendations for local spots. Overall, this was the perfect getaway for the three of us. If you’re looking for a charming, pet-friendly stay in Colonial Beach, we highly recommend this Airbnb! We’d love to come back.

Beautiful, spacious beachfront home. One of the best Airbnbs we've stayed in. Well stocked - we basically prepared all our meals. There is a food lion about 16 mins away. The beach is clean, beautiful screened porch. Multiple Spaces to work with views of the beach. Pam and Richard have thought of everything and are very generous hosts. Games galore, coloring books....we didn't use the kayak and other beach stuff. But there was plenty. We had some much needed R and R and there was plenty of space for the 5 of us to spread out, play card games... People in the neighborhood are very friendly. Will book again.

Our long weekend at The Hive was delightful—just too short! Just like the honey bees, we will soon be buzzing back to our fun, retro home away from home. Need more time on that lovely screened porch. Also want to check out the Brewery in town—the patio was bustling on Sat night when we passed by. The bedrooms were cozy and quiet. The kitchen was well equipped. I was wondering why I felt so relaxed in this circular home—just learned that Feng Shui confirms that round houses promote tranquility and harmony. We all need a lot more of those these days! Thanks, Maria for your hospitality. I’m looking forward to bringing my girlfriends back to your place when the pool is open.

Beautiful home with a lot of amenities, including lake access with kayak, peddle boat and canoe. As well as a hot tub! David provided us with household instructions ahead of time and listed surrounding restaurants and grocery stores. Would love to stay again

Dani is very kind and responds almost instantly to any question! The instructions are very thorough and the home is well-kept. Definitely a 10/10 experience for someone like myself that was visiting Virginia for the very first time! Dani is the best in the game for sure!

The house is incredibly well appointed and Jennifer is a fantastic host. I went off-season and didn't get to enjoy all that it has to offer, I'd love to come back in warmer weather.

We had a wonderful stay at this waterfront Airbnb! The home was spotless, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. Since it rained during our stay, we especially appreciated the converted garage space with a pool table and darts was a great way to pass the time. The view from the house was absolutely stunning, and the fenced-in area was perfect for our little dog to run around safely. Sitting outside with a cup of coffee, listening to the rain, was incredibly peaceful. The bed was also very comfortable, and we slept so well. We’d love to come back when the weather is a bit warmer to fully enjoy everything this place has to offer.

We stayed at John's place in Colonial Beach, VA visiting parents in town. The house was very clean. The kitchen had everything you needed. This time of the year (winter) there is not much to do in Colonial Beach but house was walking distance to the beach and to coffee shop and restaurants. One last note - loved the beds ... super comfortable. Plan to stay there again when we are in town.

My wife and I came into town to visit family members that lives on the same street as this Airbnb. This place was perfect for our needs! Nice and cozy, tastefully, decorated, clean, and well set up. Getting in and out was a breeze. The instructions for arrival and leaving were crystal clear and communication was timely. Also, the Wi-Fi worked great! If we return to Colonial Beach in the future, we will check first to see if this home is available! We highly recommend this house

Stayed here to see a few friends who live in the Ebb Tide area. The house was clean, spacious and well equipped. We were only two people but with the sun room it was clear to see there are a few options for people to spread out and not feel on top of each other. This is a nice peaceful area about 15 minutes away from downtown colonial beach and a great location for a getaway. I would stay here away without hesitation.

The house was amazing. Very spacious and cozy. The description of the house is very on point. There were even Christmas decorations up which added ambiance considering we traveled there for Christmas. We did have to move a few out of harms way(the little kids), but all in all the decorations added flair to the space. There wasn’t much interaction, because everything was great. But we were kept informed of the necessary information.

Thank you to John for a lovely stay at The River House! We enjoyed a gorgeous sunny sunset happy hour on the tiki bar dock and moody views of fog and mist rolling over the water all in one weekend. John’s place is clean, comfortable, and cozy. We had everything we could possibly need for a weekend of quiet, beauty, and relaxation. Can’t wait to come back!

We loved this snug, little spot on the water. Watching the sunrise over the water made for enjoyable mornings. It had a full kitchen that made cooking our meals very easy. Two seating areas in the living area gave us room to spread out. Fast wifi....I even stayed online while I was down by the water. I wasn't a huge fan of the overly curious swans, but I did find some really nice pieces of sea glass down by the water. The heat in this house was great.

Of all the Airbnbs we have ever stayed, Kelly and Thomas’s listing was unmatched. It was definitely hard to leave because we were enjoying ourselves so much and it checked all the boxes. The house is pristine, modern, bright and has everything that one could hope for. Highlights were the huge functional kitchen, the main bedroom double shower and the comfortable bed. The grounds are breathtaking and being by the water was very peaceful. Even though the weather was on the cooler side, we were able to fully enjoy the outdoors by taking long, peaceful walks with our dogs (who loved it as much, if not more than we did), sitting by the fire pit, making s’mores and hanging out on the pier in the mornings. The puppies were able to enjoy the private beach. We left with our hearts full and tired, happy dogs, hoping we will able to return someday. We are very grateful for the experience!
