Weston-in-Gordano : locations de vacances

We had a really amazing week in the Artist's Retreat. It's so stylish and cool but it also felt cozy and calm. We were blessed with incredible sunshine but it wouldn't have mattered. The setting is peaceful and private with lovely large grounds and lots of lovely walks nearby. The Hot Tub was fantastic. We used it more than we expected to and the wood-fired heating was easy and a part of the ritual. The tennis court was excellent with loads of rackets, balls and other outdoor equipment provided. We had a lovely welcome on arrival and Kate's local guidebook was very useful. There's so much to do nearby. We walked from the nearby Courts Garden, across local fields to Great Chalfield Manor which was gorgeous. We also used several of the eating-out recommendations. We were sad to go when the time cam and got very used to living life in this lovely place. We'll definitely try and come back again soon.

Absolutely beautiful weekend at Jacob hut. The hut was a clean and tidy space perfect for a cosy weekend. Plenty of space for dining in - in adverse weather -once you fold the bed up. But the outside space is perfect in good weather. The location was brilliant for peace and tranquility, there's a lovely pub a 10 minute walk away - The Rising Sun (take a torch for evenings!) that serves great food. Matt was super responsive and the pre-heat of the hot tub is well worth organising. He also took our luggage up in the buggy to save dragging it up the hill! For those that are dubious about a wood fired hot tub like I was - there's a cold water hose next to it so we could control the temperature where required which was a huge bonus. Matt provides plenty of kindling and logs - we had it on all weekend! The breakfast hamper was lovely, and easy to cook in the kitchen space with plenty of kitchen equipment/utensils. A cottage of dreams! We absolutely loved our stay at Kings Cottage… the house was perfect - so beautifully done and well kitted out. Stunning garden for the children to play in and the most gorgeous picture perfect setting in Kingston Deverill. Gemma was incredibly helpful and gave us great tips on what to do and where to go in the area. We highly recommend this cottage and hope to return again soon! A big thank you…
