Excellent room , so light and spacious. Tastefully presented and very cosy En-suite was spotless .

Located just outside Weymouth, but with regular local bus #8 made it perfect. Just a short walk down to South West Coast path. Accommodation perfect and will pass on to friends.

A beautiful and peaceful family home with very kind and welcoming hosts. We felt lucky to be able to stay in such a special place. Thank you Tim and Charlie! Will certianly be coming back again for our next trp to Dorsert.

A characterful lady who offered an instant and warm welcome to her charming and characterful house which is brimming with fascinating paintings and photographs collected during her career, a significant part of which was spent in India. A most considerate, eloquent and generous hostess, Rosie is also an accomplished cook who is very happy to provide a delicious evening meal if required. She is knowledgeable about many things, not least the village in which she has chosen to live and her guided tour of Semley is to be recommended. The church and exceptional village shop are well worth a visit. A day or two spent in this very comfortable accommodation provides a much needed reward from the daily round and guests will not be disappointed. Au contraire, the house and village are unexpected gems.

Joanne and Jeremy are wonderful Hosts and they have done a fantastic Job by hosting me!! They know a lot about the area and have great Suggestions on what you can do around there. I just felt Like Home and very warmly welcomed! Thanks so much for having me!

Fiona’s place is a perfect place to stay! Great location to walk to many places in Weymouth. She is the most friendly and wonderful host we’ve ever met. The breakfast is incredible. Our time with Fiona quickly became the best part of our trip. Her recommendations of things to do in the local area were great. I highly recommend a stay here!

I had the most amazing stay at the Corner House. Marina and Martyn were so incredibly kind, helpful and attentive. They have put so much thought into every aspect to ensure their guests have an amazing stay. The Green Room is beautiful, peaceful, has the most comfortable bed and stunning views of the garden. The garden is stunning and peaceful. Cake and tea available on arrival was a wonderful touch. I was blown away by how fantastic the breakfast was. The best produce, so much choice, a real feast and Marina is a fantastic cook. I will miss it! If you are thinking of staying, don't hesitate, just book. You will not be disappointed. Thank you both so much. Just wonderful.

Our overnight stay at Battleford Hall was wonderful. On arrival at this beautiful house, in its magical setting we were warmly met by Clive and shown around the property and our rooms. The rooms were sparkling clean and we appreciated the additional touches to cater to our comfort (clean towels, tea & coffee mugs, the milk in a pretty jug etc.etc.). The bed was so comfortable that my usually early rising husband slept in until 7.30am. The breakfast options were impressive and had all the hallmarks of Clive and Ruth's careful extra touches (pretty jug of fresh flowers, a large pot of fresh coffee, warm croissants, fresh orange juice - all already on the carefully laid table when we arrived to eat). We sampled his home cured ham which was truly delicious, as were the fresh eggs from his hens which had such beautiful golden yolks. We felt we had eaten he breakfast of kings! Clive and Ruth were both engaging and genial hosts, kindly staying around to chat with us on all sorts of topics on a couple of occasions while we enjoyed their beautiful garden view, but being careful not to be intrusive in any way. The real jewel in the crown though is the place itself. Battleford Hall has a magical, Narnia like quality. From the minute you turn off the main A road into the long narrow, twisty drive way that leads to the house you could be in another land - I half expected a hobbit to pop up. The ancient house and the land around has been carefully and sympathetically husbanded by Clive and Ruth and it shows. Don't expect lawns trimmed to within an inch of their lives, or sterile, serried ranks of plants. This is a rural idyll kept with the good of the land and the livestock in mind. The fields are green and hummocky and we were encouraged to walk through them down to the babbling stream that runs through the land and up to the 'watership down' ridge that forms the little valley the house nestles in. Any changes Clive and Ruth have made are sympathetic to the natural geography, topology, and history of the place, adding to the 'world apart' quality of the place. If you are lucky enough to stay here I hope you can stay longer than the one night we were there. Really, it needs a lifetime to enjoy this special and magical place, but if you're pressed for time I guess you could get a little of the magic of it in a week!

I truly adored my stayover at the bakery b&b. Such a charming room! I especially loved the wallpaper and shower curtain and the little desk looking out on the backyard. It was lovely as well to have the opportunity to eat take away food in the downstairs room. As I woke I heard the musical tip tap of footsteps from the dog (if you are a very sensitive sleeper it might be wise to bring earplugs as you can hear steps on the stairs) and the smell of fresh bread wafted towards me. The breakfast was an absolute delight, such a variety to indulge in, truly delicious and served with warmth in their authentic bakery/café. Sharon and Colin were most wonderful and natural hosts and I warmly recommend their place! Also great if you are walking the SWCP, it is easy to catch the bus from Beer or Seaton.

We had a lovely few days staying with Glenn and Teena. Such a warm welcome when we arrived. Everything was ready for us. They had thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. There was parking on site for us. Lovely clean room and ensuite bathroom. Plenty of snacks and breakfast selection. It was exactly as described in the advert. A nice quiet location. We would highly recommend this accommodation if you want a home from home. Super comfortable bed. We had everything we needed and more. Really lovely stay at Clare's place. She was friendly, helpful and accommodating. My room was cozy and warm. The shower was a bit wonky though once I asked and learned how to improve the experience, it worked well. The only small inconvenience was not being able to do laundry due to the drying cupboard set up not working. I'd certainly stay with Clare again.

Lois is an exemplary host. Tea and homemade cakes on arrival, a lovely comfortable, large bed and spotless bathroom. Delicious breakfast - muesli, fresh fruit and yoghurt followed by cooked breakfast, toast and homemade marmalade. Lois is a charming and very interesting person. We highly recommend her genuine hospitality.

David en Paul zijn duidelijk ervaren hosts. heel aardig, open (en grappig) en super behulpzaam. wij raden deze airbnb van harte aan. Mochten we ooit in de buurt weer wat gaan doen dan komen we graag weer genieten van het heerlijke ontbijt!

Lovely spot and extremely conveniently located relative to the Tank Museum so if you’re visiting and aim to stay over you couldn’t do better. Gillian is also a very friendly and hospitable host who made us feel very welcome. Would happily stay again!

A stunning annexe that was in perfect condition. Beautifully furnished and clean, it's a stunning apartment for a weekend getaway by the sea. Also a lovely touch to have breakfast delivered to us in the morning - would absolutely recommend!

Darren and Chi made us feel so welcomed in their home. Breakfast was delicious and they were extremely flexible and accommodating. Their home is ideally located adjacent to a stairway leading into Bournemouth Upper Gardens and about a 16 min jog to Bournemouth main pier/beachfront. Perfect if you're looking for a weekend away on the coast!

A very enjoyable stay at Ali’s place. Comfortable, clean, quiet, everything I needed. Lovely rural location but close enough to small villages/local shop/cafe. The most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. Ali is a great host. Friendly, welcoming, committed to making your stay as comfortable as possible. Provides the perfect balance of keeping you company with great banter or just leaving you alone to de stress and relax. Her place isn’t far from my parent’s house (Woodville) so was perfect. Pip, the whippet - well if I had room in my suitcase I would have taken her back with me! Definitely book again. An absolute gem of a place.

I stayed with Avril for one night and she is a very good host. The place was spotless, and in my room, which had a lockable door, I had tea and coffee making facilities, plus use of the main kitchen, for which she had bought me bread to toast for breakfast, as well as some chocolate filled buns. It's now my go to place to stay whenever I visit the area.

This was a gem of a find. A small but perfectly formed place with everything a couple needs for a very comfortable stay. it's a lovely perk to be able to open the back door and enjoy the patio space over the peaceful greenery. Matt and Kelly were also very happy to let our dog come along! They were very accommodating of our requests, responsive and kind. in other words- super hosts!

This is a truly special B&B. The place is so relaxing and beautifully decorated, with every comfort considered. We loved having our own living area and bathroom but also such an amazing breakfast served to us in the morning! The cottage is perfectly located, not only for walks to the coast and also in the countryside, with the seaside town of Weymouth nearby. Perfect for a much needed getaway - we felt very pampered and so did our dog! Thank you for making us feel so welcomed. We will be back!
