Sehr sauber und top ausgestattet. Rebecca und ihr Mann managen den Komplex mit mehreren Ferienwohnungen. Parken im Innenhof inbegriffen. Alles sehr sauber und gepflegt. Über den Ort muss man wissen, dass er an einem Hafen liegt, zum Ohope Beach muss man fahren.

Had a great stay at Kelly's place. The townhouse had plenty of space and was very well equipped. It was really nice having your choice of either front or back patio. I highly recommend this place and would come back again.

Our third trip to stay at WARU in Whakatane was as great as the first two. Shelly's apartment definitely is the platinum standard for places to stay. Everything you would ever need, short term or long term, is provided. Her special treats go way above any other place we've ever stayed…wine, homemade cookies, snacks, milk, breakfast staples….& there are all the condiments you need. The apartment has two excellent king size beds, two good bathrooms, and a very comfortable living space. Shelly gives the warmest welcome and responds almost immediately to any queries. The view is lovely & WARU sits right at one end of The Strand…quiet but shops & restaurants start half a block away & Ohope beach is a 3 km drive over the hill. Whakatane is probably our favourite small town in NZ! Very highly recommended.

This place is truly something special. The photos don’t do it justice—the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how stunning the surroundings were. The ocean views are absolutely incredible, stretching as far as the eye can see, and the setting is so peaceful and secluded that it feels like a true escape from the world. The accommodation itself is beautifully designed—spacious, comfortable, and perfectly positioned to take in the view. Every morning, we woke up to the sight of the sun rising over the water, and every evening, we watched the sky transform with the most spectacular sunsets. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel relaxed and never want to leave.

Place was a stunner. Beautifully appointed and quality appliances. Spa was amazing, the welcome gifts were next level. Reychelle was the most accomodating and friendly host I have encountered. Would highly recommend. Thanks Reychelle 🩵

Our family of 2 adults and 4 teenagers stayed here after an overnight tramp- Edward’s place was 5 star luxury!! The shower is awesome, there’s a washing machine and dryer, a SMEG dishwasher, SMEG oven and a fridge that makes ice! All the appliances and fittings are high-quality. Everything feels really nice. Lovely beds and linen. Awesome view from the deck. Essentials like oil, vinegar, tea, coffee and coffee plunger are in the well kitted out kitchen. We enjoyed cooking a hearty meal playing cards and watching a movie. It is minutes from Lake Waikaremoana great walk start or finish- perfect location.!

A nice quiet rural dwelling. Comfortable large living area with two bathrooms. Out door BBQ and seating was a bonus. We were a group of 6 adults who used the dwelling as a base for a 5 day golf trip in the Bay of Plenty. Lovely modern kitchen with large 8 seater dining table. Very peaceful location. Handy to Matata and Whakatane. Neryda was always available to be contacted by phone if we needrd anything. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

Adrienne's place was absolutely perfect for our group of four. Plenty of room to spread ourselves out plus great communal areas. Fantastic views of the beach and ocean from the main living area. Extremely comfortable beds ensured a good night's sleep. We even made use of the heated swimming pool, despite the weather bomb that hit while we there. Communications with Adrienne were excellent. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful house with us.

Very spacious house, right on lake edge, beautiful view. Easy to tie boat at jetty. Very Clean. Games etc for the kids much appreciated. Easy to access. Delwyn was helpful and quick to answer any queries. Road noise at night a bit bothersome, but didn't deter from the wonderful weekend we had.

Peter's place is great value with plenty of room. The kitchenette is small as advertised but was adequate for our needs. We recommend Peter's place if you're looking for a place to stay around Kawerau.
