Louise and Dick are fantastic hosts! Super kind, generous and engaging. Their home is lovely…the bed is very comfortable for a good sleep. Easy walk to town to go on the Lost World Adventures or have a good meal. Highly recommended to travelers! It’s a fun stay!

Very friendly an helpful hosts and a lovely rural setting in the country. Very friendly dogs Winston and Lexi (who loved her frisby throwing). Enjoyable stay.

The location of the house is close to downtown and Victoria Ave where the restaurants are located. A weekend market is by the riverside (one of the stalls has wonderful bread!) The place itself is well equipped and furnished, keeping us warm while demonstrating the host Allie’s artistic taste. Breakfast is amazing— featuring a verity of jams and teas to choose from, nutritious muesli, plant-based yoghurt. Had a great talk with Allie and leaned more about local fruits and cooking. Would love to come back for another stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Diane & Hamish's place. Diane & Hamish were both very friendly, helpful, and full of local knowledge. The unit itself was lovely and unique – turns out it truly was a former jailhouse that has been moved to the present site. The unit has all the amenities we expected including a very well equipped kitchen with lots of utensils, spices, oil etc. We really enjoyed having the spa right outside our room and used it everyday. We did the Tongariro Alpine Crossing while staying here. It's about a 20 minute drive to National Park, where you can catch the shuttle. We ended up driving to the Ketetahi carpark, which is at the end of the track – this is about 40 minutes from the property. Taumaranui is about a 15 minute drive away and is a solid small town with plenty of cafes, op shops, a New World and McDonalds. Overall, we loved our stay. It was a unique spot and was a very cosy base for our time in the area.

I stayed here with a friend before completing the Tongariro Crossing and it was a wonderful experience. I would recommend to anyone; it was comfortable and clean and our every need was met. (Even making our sandwiches ready for the crossing the next day!). The breakfast was delicious and Mary was a friendly and helpful host. Can’t wait to stay again, thank you!

Si vous souhaitez comme moi effectuer le Tongariro Crossing, ce logement est idéal. Il est à moins de 20 minutes du début du parcours, ce qui est très pratique pour partir tôt le matin. Au retour vous retrouvez un logement indépendant et confortable avec un bonus formidable : le spa extérieur qui vous permet de vous détendre après une grosse journée de marche !

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Richard. He was the ultimate host. We felt welcomed as soon as we walked into the house. Richard was always there to answer questions and tell us anything we needed to know but he certainly wasn’t intrusive. There were two other guests staying and we had a super evening chatting around the dining table. The kitchen was available for our use with everything you would need, the bedroom had plenty of space and a comfy bed and the bathroom shower was powerful. Richard gave us a lovely breakfast, including croissants, before we left from our overnight stay. We would definitely visit Richard again if we were in the area. 👍

Martin n'a pas pu nous accueillir lui-même, mais il nous a laissé des instructions très claires et nous a fait confiance. Nous avons pu choisir notre chambre, celle - ci était spacieuse avec un accès sur une très belle terrasse. Le coffre au pied du lit et les lampes de chevet sont du plus bel effet. Enfin, le libre accès à la cuisine est vraiment appréciable. Nous recommandons ce B&B.
