Lovely little apartment, warm, clean and well equipped in good location within easy walking distance of town. Free parking is a big bonus. Lisa has gone to a lot of trouble to make things nice including providing milk, cakes and prosecco! Things to be aware of (wouldn't put us off staying again): 1. The bed is a small double, too small for us as a couple. Lisa made up a single (camp) bed which I found comfy and slept well on but may not be for all. 2. The bathroom is in the bedroom, there's a partition which gives a little visual privacy when you're using the toilet, but no separation. Also no blind on the bathroom window so the light comes in in the morning if it's sunny.

It is a stunning cottage and we would have loved to stay longer than just a weekend! The place is cosy, spacious and has beautiful views of the countryside. The host, Virginia was very thoughtful, friendly and helpful on checking and throughout the stay.

Sally went above and beyond to accommodate us for a wedding in York which made the 4hr journey to York & time restraints on getting ready for the wedding far less stressful for us, this was hugely appreciated. Even though only there for 1 night, there were snacks provided which kept us fuelled whilst getting ready. Everything was super clean and Sally is a fab communicator.

Thankyou Belle for letting us stay at your lovely Airbnb ... the house was the perfect base for our 'family get together' weekend in York. Cosy and warm .. and enough space for us all .. with everything we needed ... thanks for the breakfast goodies ! We would highly recommend Hales Hill Farmhouse .. and glad we chose Belle as our host. Thanks again.

The accommodation was lovely and very homely. We felt very comfortable there and it was an ideal spot for walking into the city centre. The hosts were very helpful and proactive and enabled us to have a very pleasant experience.

Phill’s place in York is lovely. Very comfortable for a small group to stay in York. It’s not a very lively neighbourhood but great for the price and an easy walk or bus ride into town. The place was really clean, everything you could need. The only thing to note is that the stairs in the flat that take you to the bedrooms are very steep which may be an issue for anyone with mobility/vision issues (like my mum, but she was able to sleep downstairs on the fold out sofa so all fine)

my Mum lives in Boston Spa so the location was perfect for us. We were made very welcome and felt right at home. A lovely space to spend a few days.

Entering through a rather modest door right off the street we found Andrea's flat to be spacious, modern and spotlessly clean. As previous reviews the bedroom at the rear of the property is very quiet so you get a good night's sleep in the huge comfy bed. The kitchen is modern, well equipped with several nice touches left for us to get our stay started. The shower gives a good hot flow, much better than the puny electric ones in most properties. We are really pleased to have found Andrea's flat and as we visit York at least once a year we hope to stay again.

Always nice to stay here. With family in the area, an ideal quiet place. Not far from the town and beach - all walkable.

Clean and tidy, peaceful and quiet despite proximity to train station which is a bonus if using the train to commute.

Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt in der Wohnung von Diana. Die Wohnung ist sauber, schön und super Eingerichtet. Es ist alles vorhanden was man braucht. Die Ausstattung ist absolut ausreichend. In der Umgebung findet man alles was man braucht, von Pubs, Restaurants, Schnellrestaurants, Supermarkt und Tankstellen. Es ist auch zu Fuß sehr gut erreichbar. Die Kommunikation mit Diana war super und der Check In sehr einfach. Parkplatz direkt vor der Tür. Von dort kann man viele Sehenswürdigkeiten mit dem Auto erkunden und erreichen. Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt und würden es wieder buchen. Kann man empfehlen.

Sebastian’s flat was a clean spacious flat with a nice private terrace and a very convenient parking spot. It was a 10 min max walk to the Minister so incredibly central whilst feeling private. Sebastian was a great host who was very proactive in communicating. A great stay.

If you are visiting York, you can’t beat the location of this apartment. It’s a quick walk into the city center. The train station is a four minute walk, via a short cut beside the parking lot. Helen was very responsive whenever I had questions about the area. We appreciated the breakfast items left by Helen. The apartment was well appointed with everything we needed for our trip.

My friend and I had a really good stay here, for the Whitby Gothic Weekend. Once arrived we were well accommodated, being given a driven tour around the town. Beds were comfortable and clean, and there were various amenities which were available. Breakfast was great, with many options which included local produce. Moreover, having breakfast be at a flexible time range allowed us to feel even more comfortable. Overall, we would definitely stay again, thanks again George and Christine.

Hi arrived and felt welcome straight away .Nice area od Scarborough rural-quiet.Which I'm used to wonderful .Accommodation was perfect ,especially the separate bathroom with shower&bath.Breakfast each morning was attentive & nicely presented. Definitely book again as Sarah makes you feel relaxed &at home instantly. Is near to Scarborough but a good walk if your not to fit lol .Taxi would be a plan B if not .Air B&B for me in summer was perfect thankyou ♡

A lovely welcoming couple and very accommodating during our stay. . they made us feel right at home. A comfortable and pretty room, very nice facilities and even waited on at breakfast! A reasonable price and a great location to hop on the park and ride in to York. We really enjoyed our weekend. We will certainly be back on our next excursion this way. Thank you and all the best x

WOW! Quite possibly the best Airbnb experience I've ever had! Helen and Nick were absolutely fantastic hosts, and the room was a dream. There were so many thoughtful and homey touches that made staying here a total delight. From the gorgeous breakfast set-up each morning to the bottle of bubbly in the fridge, right down to the practical touches like a parking pass and some great local recommendations- everything was so special and considerate! The house is also in a great location. Easy to walk into town while also having reliable and safe parking. Our favourite part of our stay, though, was of course the adorable Daisy! Such a sweet dog. We could not get enough of her. This is a definite must-stay place for anyone visiting Whitby. Thank you so much for making our time there so special!

Richard and Neill were very kind and attentive, laid on a delicious breakfast and welcomed us to a very comfortable room. The place was easy to find and ideal as a base for visiting Yorkshire abbeys, minsters and churches. Thank you, Richard

it felt like we were staying with friends! Amanda has created such a wonderful space and hosts with such expertise! it was lovely sharing breakfast around a large table with other guests the following morning with delicious local products! the attentiveness to ensure we had the perfect stay really made all the difference and we would definitely book in again!

Mandy’s place felt like home! Welcoming and friendly, she makes a great host. Everything was clean and the amenities were well-thought-out in all details. Breakfast was delicious! I found the surroundings to be quiet enough for a deep sleep. As a last note, her tap water really is exceptional. Don’t forget to fill up your water bottle before you leave! :)
