We could not recommend this place more! The photos under sell how beautiful it is. The location is fantastic (only a short drive into town) and the house has all the amenities you could need and more.

We were so pleased with our stay! Beautiful location, wonderful sandy bottom lake, privacy, comfort, very well equipped kitchen. We will definitely book again!

Curtis’s place is the perfect spot to be close to White Point Beach and Liverpool. They had everything you could possibly need and more set up, the space was clean and accessible. The outdoor space really makes this place special! Hope to stay again soon!

Our stay was an amazing, relaxing weekend. Stephanie was extremely responsive to our message when we had trouble finding the place initially, and Peter was also extremely helpful! Thank you both for an amazing stay, we will definitely be back :)

this place is a gem, the bed is so comfy, trust me this is important. we have been to a few airbnb lately and this one wad so clean, very impressive. the spot is beautiful and so peaceful:) amazing host as well

One of the best Airbnbs I've stayed at! The beds were super comfy, everything was spotless and well-designed, and the location was so beautiful. The kitchen was also really well stocked with dishes and cooking basics, which is rare. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

Amazing and beautiful location on a lovely lake. The house was wonderful and the hosts were super friendly, helpful and responded very fast to the few questions I had. Instructions were very clear and straightforward. Overall, it was a stunning place to stay and set the background for lifelong memories

I arrived feeling exhausted after a long drive from the USA. But, what a great place to land in Nova Scotia! I slept like a baby in a very comfy bed. The surroundings are beautiful--tucked amidst trees and overlooking the waters of La Have river- I found a little piece of paradise here. The cottage itself is charming. A well stocked kitchen including treats from the La Have bakery. Can't resist that! Joe is such a friendly and kind host. I appreciated that he was always quick to respond to any questions. He can tell you about all the sights and restaurants in the area. My favorite was Cresent Beach about a 15 minute drive--what a place to walk your dog and experience the ocean. I highly recommend staying here!

We felt like we had a break from the world. It was peaceful, very cozy, charming, and comfortable. We slept like babies, even though it was cooler weather and we had to put wood in the stove for heat (something we enjoyed immensely). Kitchen was reasonably equipped, so we just cooked our own meals. If you’re ok with a few bugs and spiders here and there (nothing dangerous), you’ll love it. We plan to be back.

Echoing others - lovely stay! Everything you could think you need (and more!) recommend bringing slippers for the winter months to add to the cozy feeling. Loved it and would book again easily.

Shobac farm is very peaceful, and surrounded by beautiful nature. Lots of great amenities as well - our son loved the indoor pool and trampoline. Beds and linens were very comfortable. Conveniently located close to many beaches and Lunenburg is only 25 min away. Would love to return again!

Such a perfect getaway place at an incredible location. Highly recommend for anyone looking for clean and cozy comfort with that ol’ beachhouse vibe. Our second time here — but now a go-to spot for our visits to lovely Shelburne. We love it!

7 ladies, including myself went to this cottage for a weekend getaway to relax. This place was perfect for just that! The view was excellent, the place was warm and cozy, especially with the fire place. Lots of room/beds for people to sleep and pretty much everything you would need in the kitchen. Kristine was great to communicate with and extremely flexible with check in & check out times. 10/10 would absolutely recommend!

I was looking for a last minute booking when I had to abandon my camping plans due to a storm. Dee was super responsive to my last minute request and was extremely accommodating making sure that I had plenty of fire wood and water in case the power went out. She also dropped off extra towels and blankets for my pup and was warm and welcoming to us both. The property is off the main road and was great for playing frisbee with my dog. The old store was wonderfully refurbished, keeping many of the original features while providing all the modern conveniences. I hope to be back!!!

Peaceful serene location. Lots of deer. Easy to get to lunenburg and mahone bay. Nice areas to walk. Great for a group of four. Sally was awesome to deal with.

Jill was a flexible and generous host! The Airbnb is beautiful with gorgeous views and lots of space for people to stay. She had a bottle of local wine for us to try and gave us a flexible check out time. The perfect place to stay!

Loved my stay at the Salty Crib! I have deep roots in Nova Scotia so I don’t mind things like a slight whiff of sulphur in the water…at the end of a dry summer, I’m glad to have enough water, period. (Which there was.) Melissa’s place was comfortable, incredibly quiet and in a beautiful location. I stayed for a week and didn’t want to leave! Loved my daily swim a half-hour walk down the road at Feltzen South Beach. This was the perfect rustic retreat with an ocean view. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a pleasure staying at Jason's place. Almost all amenities were provided. Jason is so responsive and he let us check in sooner. The surrounding is so beautiful. do not miss kayaks! Thank you Jason!

What a beautiful property and house - situated right on the ocean above a tidal basin, with stunning views and sunsets, and a gorgeous deck with all amenitites, BBQ, and large comfortable outdoor couch. The garden below is also lovely, with bubbling creek running down to the sea and little stone bridge. Relaxation is a given in this place! The beds are super comfortable, with luxurious bedding and dreamy mattress (I think we will get ourselves an Endy!) Bathrooms on each level were squeaky clean with tons of drawer storage. It was a good situation for my 93-year old mom who has some mobility issues, as she could sleep in the main floor bedroom, with bathroom nearby too. Kitchen was small but functional and well-equipped. The cute town of Chester is only 10-15 mins drive away, with grocery stores, etc as well as some lovely little gift shops. We had a really nice time, thank you Greg!

We really enjoyed our stay. The property was beautiful and the interior of the cottage had everything we needed. We took advantage of the paddle boards and kayaks. The walk down to the dock was a bit challenging but well worth the effort. The firepit was perfect for the chilly evenings. The location made it easy to get to nearby attractions and cities. Lunenburg is only 1/2 hour away and Halifax is only an hour. There is easy access to the main highway 103 which is just a couple kilometers away. Denise was very welcoming and easy to work with. Thank you for allowing us to be your guests.

The place was nicely decorated and peaceful, the fireplace was awesome, the full kitchen easy to use, the directions for the place and local recommendations was wonderful, and the host communicates promptly and with great effort to make sure to get the information needed. The washer and dryer are such a nice feature and work well! Control of the indoor temperature took some time to figure out for each floor and the outside fluctuating temperature didn't help, and you can hear each other's rooms at times, these are very minor things and can be dealt with. the local stores and restaurants do close by 8pm local time so factor that into your trip. The place overall was just what was needed for the weekend trip! the place is sweet and I would recommend others to stay there!

We stayed here over New Year’s and it was the perfect getaway. Super comfortable, cozy woodstove, and amazing views. We’d definitely return!

This was a quaint little cottage. Feels like family while staying there. We were late in the season and actually enjoyed the outside shower! We hope to stay again.
