Me and two of my girlfriends stayed 4 nights at the Hygee Hideaway for a “Galentine’s” weekend getaway. The space was perfect for us to spread out and each have our own sleeping space. The kitchen was stocked including Tupperware which was great since we mostly cooked for ourselves. The vibe of ‘Hyggelig’ delivered as advertised! The furniture, the lighting & the many crackling candles throughout the house was such a nice, cozy touch! We enjoyed reading, playing games, doing puzzles, watching shows, going in the hot tub & hiking around on the frozen lake. We also enjoyed the location. Ironton and Crosby are both within a 15 minute drive. We rented fat tire bikes from Cycle in Ironton and enjoyed an adventurous trail ride out & easy state trail ride bike (it was our first time fat tire biking). We walked around Crosby & popped into some shops and had great burgers at Iron Range Eatery for lunch. We returned for bingo at Spalding House for Sun night bingo! Overall a fun & relaxing trip!

My friends and I needed a vacation from the mundane. This place was exactly what we needed. The perfect place to be holed up after a snowstorm that left 6+inches. It was warm and cozy and the decor is adorable.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for Valentine’s Day weekend and it was so relaxing and peaceful. The house is beautiful and has everything you could possibly need for a cozy weekend in!

Great cabin with ample space. Peaceful, scenic, and great area. Unfortunately our week was super cold but we enjoyed relaxing inside and using hot tub. Nathan was very responsive and kind neighbors came to our rescue when truck wouldn’t start due to the cold!

This cabin was great! One of our top 3 stays on airbnb. Our fave in MN. The dreamy cabin had everything we needed, it was perfect right on the water. It had a hot tub which was great since it was so cold when we visited. The first night we got there it was snowing, and the hot tub is covered under the deck and had moody lights at night time - it was so cozy under there to look out into the beautiful winter scenery, it honestly felt like a dream. The bedrooms were very comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed, and we loved ending the night in the basement watching a movie on their big comfortable couch. It was also near a park and some trails we walked our dog. Lastly, I have to say I was slightly obsessed with the cabin's design style and decor, especially the gallery wall and the wallpaper they had up throughout the cabin, I may need to put some up in my own house. Overall, we had a wonderful time with our doggy, and left feeling rested and recharged. Will be coming back!

Found out last minute our family cabin had been double booked for my birthday weekend, so I did a quick search for something in the Brainerd for 5 of us and found this gem - so happy it worked out as we had the best time playing games and enjoying each other. Very cozy, pretty place. We’re hoping to come back in the summer and experience it all again. Any concerns and questions we had were answered and resolved very quickly. No complaints from us.

Can’t beat a beautiful cozy cabin right by the river! Nice to see the stars and hear the water when I stepped outside. Loved the large windows in the primary bedroom. Definitely recommend for a weekend outside the twin cities

Awesome stay, good lakes for fishing all around the area. Great for a good group of people looking to get up north and be on the lake!

Perfect two bedroom cabin on the lake! My husband slept 15 hours, the bed was THAT comfortable and after an 11 hr drive, he needed the rest. The host thought about every need guests would have and even when the area power went out briefly, she was proactive and kept us up to date. (It was an issue in the community not just the cabin.) The kitchen had everything we needed and the coffee bar was so cute! We wanna come back in the summer and take advantage of the kayaks on the lake and go swimming! We loved it was pet friendly for our two small dogs and they felt right at home. WiFi worked great and so did the tv. Next time I’m bringing binoculars. I was told there are swans on the lake. We heard honking but couldn’t get a close look. The lake view was beautiful and the water froze over in the 2 degree weather. Our family cannot wait to come back. You will get your steps in going up the hill to parking spot. 10/10 in our book! Will book again! ~Indiana family

Stayed with 4 others friends and it was a great time! Great view of the lake, especially when having a fire. Definitely recommend!

Our stay was peaceful and just what we needed to recharge. Fast internet allowed me to work remotely from the cabin while my partner visited the local towns for the day. Doug was incredibly generous with little touches like providing wood for the sauna and fireplace, a stocked kitchen. Doug is a great host! We’ll be back!

We enjoyed our weekend here on an annual couples ice fishing trip! Terry and Connie are excellent hosts, and their place offers everything you need for a comfortable stay. Even at the coldest time of year, we felt right at home in the Cozy Cabin.

It's a little tricky to find this spot and we recommend arriving during the daylight hours as we did. Once you get there, this cabin really can't be beat! We were back to Minnesota for a family reunion and this was the perfect spot for our family. The location was beautiful and we were never bored with great bass fishing, canoeing and corn hole. Thanks so much for the great spot to teach my 12 year old the best parts of growing up in Minnesota and we hope to come back and visit again! The only extra information I'd leave people is that there is a Trumpeter Swan that also calls this little part of Crooked Lake home, and his loud trumpeting can be a bit of a surprise and easily mistaken for a car alarm in the middle of the night. However, we would never complain that the swans, loons, eagles, wild turkeys and osprey all enjoy this location as much as we did! -S&B

Definitely recommend if you want to be close to everything but be in seclusion all at the same time. And when they said they have a kitchen ready for you, they really mean it. Great communication and hospitality.

We only live about 10 miles from this cabin, so Diane graciously allowed my husband and me to tour the property before deciding to rent it. We didn't stay in it ourselves, but rented it for our 2 daughters and their families to stay in, over Thanksgiving weekend. It worked out quite nicely. The kids said that it was a great place to stay and talked about possibly staying there again in the future.

This is such a beautiful setting and the home is so comfortable! Janett was such a cordial hostess and so flexible. We will DEFINITELY stay here again!!!
